What a wonderful experience from start to finish. Not something I thought I’d ever say about carpet fitting! But here we are. The initial visit where we discussed options, types of carpets, colours to suit the room etc, booking in at a time that suited us, and then on the day the 2 fitters were in, quick and super tidy. like I say. What a great experience. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough
Paul came on time today he was recommended by 2 people. Quickly checked where he was working. 3 hours later I had 6 room carpets hall stairs and landing all looking like new . We were very happy with the results. This evening carpets almost dry. Excellent job highly recommend.

Paul , of Great Choice Flooring came and cleaned our downstairs carpets and certain soft furnishings in October '25. Having previously visited to give us an estimate for the cleaning, we accepted his quotation and fixed a date. True to his word Paul arrived on time and did a good job. His cleaning equipment ( installed in his van ) was efficient and we are pleased with the result. We also had some new carpet, in our attic, that we asked him to lay on our staircase and his coleague, Rich, did this a few days later. Rich removed the old carpet, and left our home clean and tidy. I would recommend this friendly local Poole based firm. The prices quoted, for cleaning and carpet fitting were exactly as quoted . 👍

Admittedly the hall carpet was in a really bad state, but Great Choice Flooring did an awesome job carpet came up as good as new, didn't take long to dry, and just a fresh energy to the whole hallway. Paul did a wonderful job of cleaning our carpets, they look like new after tons of building work ( that girt, dirt, ground in dust from plastering and big muddy footprints) and a couple of stains were removed too. We are very pleased - the carpets smell amazing and dried within the day. It feels so much fresher and lighter. A friend even asked if we had new carpets! He is so polite, considerate and I highly recommend his work.
I was really impressed with Great Choice Flooring from my first telephone contact with Paul until the job was finished. Laminate flooring was laid in my kitchen and the carpets cleaned throughout the house. Paul gave excellent advice and made the whole process seamless and stress free. The best - Paul knows everything about carpets and flooring, how to clean them, maintain them, remove stains etc - I learnt more about the difference between wool and manmade carpets than I’ve ever known, now I know what to do and what not to do. He’s a real master of his trade, our carpets came up beautifully and wow, he’s thorough! Fantastic value, the highest recommendation, I’ll never use anyone else.

Great service with sound advice regarding damaged carpet replacement. Nothing was too much bother in helping us select carpet - this involved 2 home visits with samples etc. measurements taken and on the spot quotation. Confirmation and scheduled appointment for fitting given next day. Everything happened as scheduled, furniture moved, old carpet plus underlay all removed and new all fitted. Very efficient and clean team. Furniture all put back in the right places. Thoroughly recommend GREAT CHOICE FLOORING for quality, service and cost.

Not happy at all with the carpet and the carpet fitter, regards to carpet gripper nail as stepping on stairs I can feel the nails even I have told the guy to give me a quality carpet the guy have come down and push all the nails on the stairs but I still feel the gripper nails as walking the stairs I can feel on my toe mostly so check it after they fitted it ,and the carpets are bubbling

Cannot recommend Paul highly enough.Fitted new bedroom carpet.Always on time superb fitting and always very competivly priced.I have recommended him to so many of my friends -some hotel owners and always delighted with superb fitting and attention to detail.Fitting done and always discusses room dimensions with you and wide variety of carpets.Paul even helped me remove hall carpet and store carpet as I had to have year old carpet lifted as has central heating being installed retrospectively.He went to great effort to refit and get carpet good as new.!
Recently had carpet fitted in 2 bedrooms, stairs and landing and vinyl for bathroom. Having 2 young children it was so helpful that Paul brings everything to you and can choose in the convenience of your home. Paul provides a first class service showing samples in your home and he is willing to research and order alternative samples if needed. He has the patience of a saint! Paul provided literature about fitting from the outset and his advice has been valuable to the point of recommending a delay of purchase until works in an adjoining room have been completed. The fitters are spot on, polite and very considerate in your home. My initial concern about new kitchen and bathroom units etc being scuffed was unfounded and the finished product looks great which has been noted by friends. Couldn't be more pleased with the service from start to finish. Bringing samples to the house really helped us make the right choices and at much cheaper prices than the shops. The pricing and personal service he offers work well for busy people and who don’t want to spend days trailing around the shops. Excellent service by Paul and his fitters. They completed our hall, stairs and landing with no problems, at a competitive price and to high standard. Arrived on time, always courteous and completed the job quickly and without fuss.
Sadly I need to leave a negative review, which I have never done for a business before. The fitting of our recent carpet and vinyl was atrocious. The pile goes the wrong way on the stairs, the carpet is bubbling and fraying throughout and our vinyl was big and bubbling. Another local carpet fitter spent 2 hours trying to correct the work we received, sadly he could only do so much. The woodwork was damaged in each room. Unfortunately the owner of this company, although initially seemed friendly turned as soon as I asked for the mistakes to be rectified. We have not been offered any compensation or money back for this. Avoid if possible. There is many other carpet companies in the area who will be more than happy to help you.

Until I heard about Great Choice Flooring I did not know that mobile carpet services existed. What a discovery! I was trying to match a new stair and landing carpet to existing carpet, and Paul brought in loads of carpet samples so I could lay them down in situ and check them out in different lights. That would normally have entailed many trips to the carpet shop. Once the carpets were uplifted we had to have some work done on the floorboards before the new carpet could be laid, and Paul was very helpful and flexible in working his timings around that. Our fitters Amber and Charlotte arrived bang on time and worked like Trojans for over four hours on the hottest day of the year. It was not an easy job because the floor was not level, but Amber used her expertise to even things out, and the end result is superb. We are so pleased with our new carpet. The price was excellent too. I highly recommend Paul and his team, and will go back to him myself next time I need new flooring.
The entire process start to finish was seemless. Paul was immediately out on the same day I made contact for a quote, and spent over an hour carefully discussing my ideas and showing me samples. My driving factor was they were alot cheaper than high street chains. Booking the job was extremely easy and professional, I had to move the date which was made very easy by Paul. The day of the carpet fitting was faultless too, the fitting of the carpet was extremely well done with alot of attention to detail. I was left 'as high as a kite'....but I settled sitting at the top of my stairs, just looking at my new plush carpet! It's been a week and I don't want to return my furniture on it! .. as I've been floating on it all week! It was the worst of jobs (hall, stairs and bathrm), on the hottest day - but the team pulled it off with edgings and details that I never even thought of. Thanks to Paul and the team at great choice who have just fitted a new carpet in our daughters bedroom. This is the third carpet they have fitted for us and as always there was plenty of choice, the carpets are great quality and are reasonably priced. The fitters were prompt and did a top job and left the room spotlessley clean when they had finished. We'll be using them again.

Can't recommend Paul at Great Choice enough. He was very friendly and fully knowledgeable about what would be best to suit my needs. The measuring and pricing didn't take long. The fitters and door trimmer all arrived at the correct time. The fitters were happy to move all the large furniture for me (I am slightly disabled), as I had asked before hand. You pay the full amount for the carpet up front, which is always a worry, but Paul delivered with no problems. He kept me informed of when carpet ordered, arrived and exact times were confirmed for fitting. As soon as fitters left, Paul phoned me to make sure I was happy with everything. Brilliant service.
