Top quality carpets, can fit all ranges at a great price, fitters were very helpful in moving furniture and friendly. Got the whole upstairs/stairs done in around 2 hrs. We shopped around and this was by far the best value for money
Would not recommend. Came and fitted new vinal flooring but left the place in an absolute state. Looked i was robbed more than had new flooring fitted not only was the contents of the bathroom throw about in the adjacent room but rubbish and and off cut flooring was left throughout. Complete lack of respect shown in my eyes disgusting behaviour.
We recently bought carpets for our whole upstairs after seeing the great reviews and Cowdray Carpets were fantastic! Ian and Kim were so helpful with measuring up at a convenient time and helping us chose the perfect carpet. They booked in the fitters on a day of our choice and couldn't have done more to help. We were blown away with the overall service of the store and the fitters and the price was so reasonable. We'd highly recommend this brilliant family run local company.
Amazing service! Called and paid on Tuesday and carpet was fitted on the Friday! Competitive prices, gorgeous soft carpet :D Looking forward to getting the house sorted step by step with you :)

My family have used them at their current premises, and going back 50 years to when my family dealt with the current owners grandfather when they were colins carpets in the high street. I do not even consider anyone else, they give great service and cater for all budgets, some great value with their remnants, just had our living room done last week, a few weeks previous my daughter had most of her house done, they deliver on both value for money and quality service.
Excellent shop. Fantastic quality carpets. Excellent customer service. Carpet fitters were lovely and efficient! Carpet looks even better in person. Couldn’t recommend highly enough! 😊 (carpet still needs a hoover as just fitted so that’s what fluff on carpets is!)

This is a gem of a shop, no pushy salesmen or over inflated prices, lots of choice and many end of roll bargains to be had. They arranged fitting for me, and the guy was very polite, neat and extremely fast. No fuss at all from start to finish, love the result.
I have been twice now, we have a few rooms we need carpets for, the first I needed something fairly quickly, no budget just the right carpet, the person kept saying cheap and budget, and then said unlikely we will be able fit you in, gave up.. second time arrived 3:30pm. Clearly didn’t want us there not even a hello, can we help .. obviously just want to close and go home .. at that point I realised it’s all about the customer experience and they don’t deserve my business, wont be going back.
Excellent personal service. We purchased the carpet in December, lots of good advice based on our requirements. Fitted very quickly, could have been even quicker but they waited for us to finish decorating. Beautiful carpet and underlay, so soft to walk on and fitted really well. Unfortunately my terrier damaged a corner by the doorway, very smooth and efficient repair, you'd never know it happened. All in all very happy and would 100% recommend and will use again, but hopefully not for repairs!
I would highly recommend this carpet warehouse. Great customer service, excellent communication. My Son loves his new carpet , so soft. Exactly what we wanted at a great price. With speedy delivery and fitting. So So happy. 🥰🥰
I can not recommend this company highly enough. Excellent service from start to finish. So helpful in measuring and recommending carpets and lino for me . The fitters were professional and friendly and carried out an excellent job. I am so pleased with the quality and price.
Very pleased with our new carpet for our staircase. Friendly and very good customer service and reasonably priced. Carpet fitter hoovered the powdery underlayer from our old carpet. A great transformation. Highly recommended 👍
I've used Cowdray Carpets 3 times over the last few years and every time it's a great experience. The staff in store are always really helpful, they can fit the carpet/vinyl reasonably quickly and their fitters are always professional and do a fantastic job. Would highly recommend

It was OK, nice sales reps and they also do fittings for a reasonable price. Just bear in mind they ONLY do carpets, no laminating or any kind of hard flooring.

I had Cowdray Carpets redo all of the flooring in my new house. The team were great, from helping me select the flooring in store, to coming to measure up and squeezing me in before Xmas. Damien and Toby really did a great job!
Great place for service and good quality carpets at reasonable prices they also have a fine selection of lino floor covering and underlay and a good team of carpet layer's. Would recommend this business to anyone needing a carpet .

Nothing was any trouble. Then another nice man came and measured up for us. What that man did not know about carpets and flooring would not be worth knowing. He was SO helpful. At this point I have to say that honesty and sincerity just oozed from everyone we spoke to. We called at the premises once more to confirm our purchase and again they were all just SO SO polite and easy to deal with. Carpet buying can be a nightmare. Live your dreams instead and give Cowdray Carpets a go. Are they the very best you can get? - Probably! Thank you CCC!
Can highly recommend Cowdray Carpet Centre. Much better price than two of the major carpet retailers in Colchester, quicker fitting time and far better customer service too. This is exactly the same carpet that I'd seen elsewhere. The fitters were also brilliant and really friendly. Took this from the best angle to show the sparkles in the carpet! Looks amazing. Thank you so much!
Ian and the team are wonderful. Customer service is outstanding and the quality and price of the carpets are great. The fitting team were so helpful and nothing to difficult, they even managed to fit with a wardrobe still in the room and only a 3cm gap between the robe and the ceiling. Love this local business, go and give them a look and meet the team, you won’t be disappointed!

Prices for materials not at all competitive. Purchased the Titanium Range fir £16.09psm instead of there £20++. However the customer service is very good.
