Amazing electrician - was really quick with booking me in and completed all the tasks to a really high standard. Really nice guy too, very personable and professional. Highly recommend.

Hugh did a full rewire on our house in Hove, working over the course of 6 months with our builders. He was great at checking what we wanted and coordinating with the build schedule to get us a wonderful result. He also did some really helpful things like making sure we had almost no wires under the (now inaccessible) floor, and supplying beautiful under counter lights. Would definitely recommend.

Hugh installed the electrics for our new dual fuel radiator for a very reasonable cost. He worked with care and ensured we were happy with the positioning of the new switch. Hugh is a pleasure to work with, is polite and we will definitely ask him to quote in the future.

Hugh repaired extractor fan and fitted new diffuser. Very friendly and efficient. Would certainly recommend and use for future work.

Hugh was punctual and thorough when assessing my oven

Hugh and his partner were friendly and helpful. They handled things very carefully and completed all the work neatly in a very professional manner. Mega thanks again for making my apartment so homey with the new lightings installation. Bansie xx

Hugh did great work for us, everything completed to a high standard and quickly. Great communication as well :)

Hugh was excellent. He turned up on the right day and time (what is a rarity these days with some traders). He was also clean and methodical, but best thing was he fixed our electricity. He was so good we got him back to put WiFi cable into our Garden Studio.

Hugh is a great electrician. He fixed an extractor fan and a bathroom light for me and both work great months later. Professional, friendly and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend.

Hugh has done a couple of jobs for me now, responds quickly, answers my questions and does a great job every time. Would rehire in a heartbeat

We urgently needed an electrician on a Sunday. A neighbour recommended Hugh. We contacted him and he responded straightaway. He told us up front he would charge weekend rates. We were OK with that because we were so pleased to be able to get the issued sorted that day. He explained what was wrong and calmly dealt with it. Hugh is efficient, professional and very friendly. Since then another neighbour has praised his work too, so if you need a really good electrician, look no further than Hugh.

Hugh carried out a number of electrical jobs around the house. He was efficient, reliable, and undertook the work professionaly. We would be happy to recommend him.

Hugh and his assistant have just saved Christmas for us. Our cooker socket had come loose and started to melt, so the cooker was unsafe to use. They were fantastic. Thank you so much.

Reliable, punctual and efficient. Hugh has done several jobs for me now: he turns up on time, is reasonably priced and always sees a job through. Would highly recommend him.

Hugh installed a new plug socket and fixed two broken light switches. We were helpfully kept informed of timings and pricings (very reasonable). The service was professional and quick - we would definitely recommend and will be using Hugh for any future electrical needs!

Everything we needed and more. Hugh did all of our electrical work for our new kitchen, he was able to plan with and work around the kitchen fit for the first and second fix with flexibility and clear communication throughout. Great guy and really enjoyable having him apart of the process, couldn’t recommend higher!

Hugh was very polite, professional and efficient. Am extremely pleased with the work he's done for me today.

My intruder alarm started going off at intervals due to low battery and it was distressing. The service I received was exceptional. The empathy, patience and responsiveness were outstanding, fitting the job quickly and then keeping me closely informed and then sorting it cleanly and effectively. I highly recommend Hugh and the company.

lovely to deal with, would recommend

Great work. My certificate was done promptly. Have used HBM before. Highly recommend

Hugh did an electrical safety check on a rented property. He was punctual and friendly. He cracked on with the job and I left him to it. He closed up the property on my behalf and sent me the necessary report. All good!

What a nice guy Hugh is, very reliable. Friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend him.

Hugh has done some work at our restaurant in Hove. Would definitely recommend! Punctual, polite and a great standard of work!

Used HBM and received a very good service. Hugh was quick, easy & efficient to communicate with & it wasn’t long before he came to do the job and was able to fix the electrical problems I had.

Hugh sorted a bunch of problems for us during a kitchen overhaul. Always happy to field questions and offer advice

Great service from Hugh. Friendly, reliable and respectful of your property. Jobs always done to a high standard.

Excellent chap. Friendly, fair, punctual and did the job.

Was having a nightmare with my boiler constantly tripping fuses every time it fired. Foxed everyone until Hugh sorted. Can’t recommend highly enough. Super efficient and helpful — generous with advice too. Has done two smaller jobs for me since. Both bang on.

Hugh changed all the spot lights in the house to LEDs, ran electricity to my garage and put in an extractor fan in the bathroom. All jobs done to a high standard and at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

High did a first-class job for us, installing a new fuse box and ensuring the safety of the electrics throughout our house. He was thorough, comprehensive and professional. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him.

Hugh is great, he's done several jobs for us at home and for our business. We will use him every time.. professional and polite with a can-do attitude.

Have used Hugh for most of our electrical works on our property. Being first time buyers Hugh has been great; transparent with costing breakdowns, quick and a really good quality of finish! Would definitely recommend.

I had a bit of a nightmare when my electrics went after just moving into my new home. Hugh was quick to respond and sorted the problem quickly, professionally and at a reasonable price. I then had a second issue and again Hugh was straight over, walked me through the options and provided me with further info on the next steps. He's a great guy and as a single woman who knows nothing about electric works, it was nice that he was relaxed which made feel comfortable, he made things super simple and didn't make me feel dumb. I'd highly recommend Hugh and will absolutely use him for any requirements going forward.

Very reasonable quote and did a great job - I highly recommend HBM Electrical.

Hugh’s attention to detail and outright dedication was such a refreshing change. You just know Hugh puts a lot of care into giving his customers a great service and doesn’t hesitate to go the extra mile.

I hired HBM Electrical at short notice to fit an extractor fan in my home, and Hugh couldn’t have been more professional, friendly and helpful. He was happy to discuss other electrical work we were thinking of doing, and suggested ways to save us money. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire again. Highly recommended.

Hugh was really helpful with identifying an issue with my ethernet wiring on short notice!

We were very pleased with the quality of Hugh’s work. He was thorough, patient, professional and easy to have around the place over 2 days. All electrical appliances working perfectly. Happy to recommend him.

Hugh installed electrics in our garden room/cabin and I couldn't recommend him highly enough! Friendly, knowledgeable and talked us through every step, and also gave some excellent suggestions that we hadn't thought of. Really neat, tidy - we'll definitely be calling Hugh up for our electrical jobs in the future 👍

Hugh recently installed brand new sockets in my home. What was especially helpful is that he ordered the right sockets for me instead of me purchasing lower quality ones and not realising. It took the pressure and time away from me having to search for sockets that could potentially be poor quality. Very polite, efficient and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend!

Hugh fitted external lighting and did a great job. The quote was competitive and there were no add ons. Installation was completed well within time and the working area was always very neat and tidy. I’d definitely recommend him and use him again.
