Mark at Garden Lighting Brighton did a great job of enhancing our back garden lighting - one quick visit to discuss what we were looking for followed by another to put everything in place. When a few months later we had an electrical problem he came the next day free of charge to make it right. Highly recommended.

We needed an outdoor lighting solution as we live in one of those hilly Brighton neighbourhoods where navigating both the front and back of the property can be very treacherous after dark. We also wanted to invest in a permanent lighting setup that would highlight the beauty of the garden at night. After finding the Garden Spark website we gave Mark a call, and knew right away we were in the hands of a professional. We worked together over several sessions to design the best layout of lights for our property front and back, and to make sure that every fixture served its purpose. The installation was done with extreme efficiency and cleanliness, and the cabling to each fixture has been hidden in a way to be practically invisible. What was a surprise was there was no invasive electrical work in the house at all– Mark uses remote switches which can be fastened to a wall to make a traditional light switch or treated as a more portable device, as well as a simple smartphone app that means you are in control of your lights at all times. We are very happy that we found Garden Spark to do this work for us, and we look forward to enjoying our new garden lights for years to come. Thank you Mark!

Mark designed superb lighting to match our newly built Mediterranean style garden. He gave a lot of thought to how to bring out the best in the planting and the water feature - combining light and shadow in lovely ways. Truly he is an artist! I thoroughly recommend him.

Mark has been brilliant in his landscape lighting work for us. He was ready to try something new that he hadn't done before and worked really hard at it when at first he couldn't get it working. The end result was beautiful and well worth the effort.

Mark was professional, hard working and courteous from beginning to end. When we were first in touch he immediately offered initial ideas on how to improve our property. We agreed a high level plan over messaging and video calls and he turned up on the scheduled day and got to work creating a more detailed plan that suited our circumstances. He made tremendous progress and he had all the lights installed and working on the first day. He then came back to tidy up wires and ensure we had all the information we needed about using the app and setting schedules. Mark was one of those rare people who did exactly what he said he was going to do and exceeded expectations throughout. Most importantly, we’re extremely happy with the result. Mark’s work has transformed our garden. I’d recommend him without reservation.

Mark created lovely, atmospheric lighting which lead the eye from the bottom to top of the garden. Subtle but very effective. Mark was very knowledgeable and really cared about the look. We spoke to another electrician and they just said how many lights we needed and gave a quote, however, Mark spent time in the garden, visualising the best and most economic placement of the lights. Mark also brought different light samples to look at and explained pros and cons of each. We will ask Mark to return for future lighting requirements.

From the outset Mark completely understood the brief. He gave us links to websites to see the type of installation he imagined, and also experience the lighting moods we would have available. Garden Spark did a great job. We were not experienced in lighting installation for gardens. Mark was articulate in explaining the options at our initial meeting and having given him a budget was very efficient in giving us options and recommendations. He worked very well with our landscapers . We are very pleased with the sighting of the lighting and Mark installed the lighting and cabling within budget and timeline we asked for. Mark came back a week after installation to check we were happy with the installation.
