EV Charger Install Chris and his team were first class. Chris was clear and listened to what my requirements where and keep me informed all the way through the process. The electricians that came to do the install were friendly and kept to the plan that I had agreed with Chris. No issues and very easy. I know this is a small thing but I had a waste bin just outside the garage where there install was and at the end they left no mess and they took their rubbish with them. This is a surprise and credit is due so thank you. I know it’s petty but shows you how they operate. I would use again and you won’t have an issue with them.

Being constantly let down my electrician, I took a gamble when I received flyer through the post. I gave them a call and expressed my urgency, and Chris was able to fit me in with their first available cancellation. The technician was polite and carried out the work without any issues. Understood my problem on the telephone and I was not disappointed. Arrived on time and I was sorted in half an hour. Very helpful electrician and made safe my 2 sockets left by a previous local electrician. Would 100% recommend.

I needed some socket covers replaced as the on/off switches would not work properly and also the same problem with the switch for the electric cooker. I only contacted Chris earlier this week and he was able to book the job for Wednesday 27th at around 5-5.30pm. 5pm two very amiable engineers arrived and the job was superbly done within the hour. I’ve had Chris carry out work on my property before, and once again he delivered an excellent service. This time, he installed two floodlights outside my garage, and the quality of the work was to a very professional standard, all at a very reasonable price. The lights themselves are great—they come with a self-generating switch, so there’s no need for batteries, which is really convenient. This isn’t the first time I’ve asked Chris to do work for me, and it definitely won’t be the last. I highly recommend him.

Chris Ward Electricals completely rewired our 400 year cottage in November 2025. They carried out a full and detailed inspection of our home wiring system before they carried out any work to give us piece of mind that what was needed in our case was a full rewire. They quoted us a price and more importantly a time scale, we are pleased to say they came in within budget and on time. Chris the electrician came out to one of my rental properties where the kitchen light was tripping the electrics whenever it was switched on. He turned up exactly when he said he would and kept me informed with a text when he arrived. After inspecting the issue, he called to explain that water had got into the existing light fitting and asked if I was happy for him to purchase and install a replacement. I appreciated being kept in the loop before any additional work was carried out. The problem was sorted quickly and the price charged was very reasonable for the work completed. Overall, a professional and straightforward service. I will definitely be using Chris again in the future.

Apologies for spoiling the party regarding the outstanding reviews, this is one of those times when you failed miserably with customer service. No point visiting a property to arrange a viewing of what work is required, inform me that a quote will be with me within 4 days and then expect a customer to continually ring the office to chase the quote, still haven't received the quote 3 weeks later, if you didn't want the job, just say, rather than waste valuable time. And then to be continually passed around like a parcel in a kids game chasing the quote with your office is beyond belief!! Either your not aware of this, your staff don't know what they're doin, your not bothered or all of the above. Apologies for the shit review, but if the cap fits then you wear it.

Mark turned up earlier than expected (which he contacted us to ask if he could), we explained what our expectations were and what we wanted to do and he cracked on with his inspection. We had a problem with a PowerPoint which kept tripping the RCD. I phoned on Wednesday, appointment for Friday. We hired Chris and the team to install an EV charger at our home. The communication and service from the start was first class. Starting with attending for a site survey, followed up with a clear and transparent quote. We wanted a non standard install with cables going under slabs which 99% of installers won’t do. Work was completed perfectly, very neat and tidy. Follow up with our DNO for a main fuse upgrade was also perfect and national Grid promptly attended and upgraded our fuse to enable full capacity on the charger. Would definitely recommend Chris and the team.

A electrician Mark I believe his name was came out to my old house in Clipstone yesterday to find out why everytime I put the shower on it would nock out all my other electrics leaving the shower still on. Chris came to install a mains socket in our attic and two overhead LED strip lights in our workroom/office. He is a very bright and cheerful.person, always with a happy demeanour and a pleasant word to say. He completed both jobs with a minimum of fuss, cleaning up as he went along and left no mess behind at all. An absolutely perfect service. I cannot fault the pre-work customer service nor the actual work carried out on a blown lighting circuit. I never expected same day service let alone getting the repair resolved within 5 hours but that is exactly what I got. Mark was professional, quick but also understanding and humourous about a wiring mistake from 15 years ago!! It’s a good job companies like Chris Ward Electrical Ltd are about. Contactable, professional , personable, knowledgeable and above all understanding of requirements. 18 months ago we required an Electric Vehicle (EV) charger at home and I now realise, I foolishly contacted my electricity provider for a recommendation. On their website, a major supplier of EV points was recommended . They completed the job, installed the charger and happy days. 12 months later it stopped charging the car, calls went unanswered but eventually a visit was arranged. He left not fixing the charger explaining it was faulty and it would be reported to the office. After 3 months another replacement charger was fitted, however it was never commissioned. Getting frustrated by the lack of action by the company who went silent to any form of communication I contacted Chris and asked for a diagnostic report on the EV charger installation. Within 10 days I’d had a visit and received the report with photographs. I was alarmed then extremely angry as the report highlighted five major issues. Without going through them all here, the note said “no electrical installation certificate was produced for the customer, installation does not comply with BS 7671 and has not been certified as safe and not Part P registered. There were three C2 codes and two C3 diagnosed. A letter of complaint to the company was written asking for a full refund and costs was ignored as was a Pre Court letter. They did eventually respond to a County Court Civil Claim agreeing to settle out of court the full amount including court costs etc. The money has now been paid, however, I’ve been left with a very uneasy feeling about this whole matter. It needs somebody with more knowledge and resources than me to take on companies like this that pray on customers and then hide behind a barricade of silence. I cannot thank Chris Ward enough for giving me the weapons to tackle this case. If I’d not got the resources to do so where would I be. In conclusion, Ward Electrical installed a completely new system very quickly and we shall be eternally grateful to Chris Ward for getting out of this mess without too much damage. What about the rest???

Very professional and at a decent price. Power Socket was installed Infront of the house for using hoover and jet wash when needed. Bonus was an on/off switch was also installed inside the house.

The engineer fitted an internal extraction fan in the bathroom and an external light above the front door. A written quote was provided within a few days after looking at the work involved and there was no pressure put on us to have the work done. I contacted Ash and got booked in for Mark to come and do the work. Mark was highly reliable, friendly, helpful and worked solidly. His work was very neat and tidy and looks great. Came out for an emergency call out to check the safety of our electrics following a water leak in our house.
