We were in shock after a fire in our garage due to an unused fuse box switch being flipped accidentally. We're advised to have an electrical check ASAP. After that check the switch was decommissioned and as he left , he said " I'm so sorry that happened to you " and , for me , it makes a huge difference when I'm shown empathy when I least expect it . Efficient and caring service , thank you so much .

We had two relatively small jobs - replacing an exterior lamp and replacing a bathroom vent. A previous electrician had cut power to the lamp switch but Shem diligently traced it and got it sorted. Shem replaced a consumer unit and provided a EICR report for me. From the start I could tell that his service was of a very high standard. He understood the requirements, provided a quote very quickly and undertook the work very efficiently. His communication at all times was exemplary. I would highly recommend.

After discussing with Shem the issue and concern we had with audio equipment (loudspeakers popping), he tested wiring & power consumption of our equipment and found very simply, it was 2 wall sockets that were substandard. He simply replaced them which included an upgrade to a one single socket to a double. Just the call out charge + parts. Would recommend Solid Electrics

I was looking for an electrician to install a HIVE EV charger I had already purchased. Shem was the first person to contact me, ask me a number of questions and supply a quote. After few days of waiting for others to contact me I went with the quote he provided. It was the best decision I could have made! Communication was the best I've experienced from any trades person. I was given text updates as to when Shem would be arriving, he was polite and courteous and not only explained what he needed to do, but also asked for my opinion and any suggestions I had. The work he carried out was to an extremely high standard and in less than 3 hours the charger was ready for me to use. All the relevant paperwork was completed and authorities informed, and I have now received all the certificates required should I need to evidence the work that was carried out. Great service from Shem. All work complete in one day to a great standard. Reasonable charges too. I would highly recommend. We had 2 extractor fans installed along with wiring fixed for main light, garden lights fixed, sockets added and fault finding. Wiring done with care to avoid damage to the plasterboard. I will be using Solid Electrics Limited and Shem from now on.
