Was let down by another company AMAE who rewired out kitchen and fitted a new consumer but left a fault with a lounge walls and didn't check all lights after swapping the consumer. They wouldn't commit to options to fix the issues but an expensive hourly rate to fault find with no other options. Appear to rush to large jobs and not interested in smaller fixes. So I was recommended SCE. Our whole experience from emailing in our issue, Louise and the fantastic automated email and text booking system, Simon visited and gave us options rather than want to charge by the hour. We booked in and 2 young lads arrived. On time, boots off. Listened to the background and quickly got to work and found the issues, fixed it. Tidied up and very pleasant. These lads Jack and Josh our a credit to SCE and for young lads in general. We are currently experiences very challenging time with family members seriously ill so something as simple as this fixing a light that was frustrating us and the disappointment with AMAE really cheered us up. Also SCE offer 10% to NHS staff is a lovely gesture along with the company helping local charities. I wished we used SCE to do our kitchen but going forward they have our future business and all friends and family recommendations. Thank you to the whole team at SCE. You have been absolutely outstanding, organised, pleasant and fair pricing.
We used Simon Christopher for a full rewire of our Victorian semi, and we’re very pleased with the service. The work was completed efficiently, within the agreed timeframe, and everything was left clean and tidy at the end of the job. There was a very minor issue that required a return visit, but it was booked in promptly and resolved the very next day with no fuss. Really, really happy with the electrical work that Andrew did on my new kitchen and garage conversion, pretty much did a full rewire of downstairs, fitted lights, switches and sockets, gave loads of advice and options. Added a fusebox to my garden room and connected it to the main house. New fusebox for the house, outdoor lights. Extremely reliable, hardworking and tidy. Had a couple of lads working with him too that were also great. Great guy highly recommend!
Ridiculously good service. Simon was very friendly, came over and had a look at the what needed to be done. I got a quote the next day. 2 days later Callum moved my sockets and installed a new fusebox very quickly. I got a cert, and the invoice in the end was actually slightly cheaper than the quote! 10/10 - use these guys please, honestly

Extremely professional company and electrician! We got a second opinion after moving into our house as the first person who came over was unreliable. Simon came over at the time he said he would, told us what needed doing and why, and quoted us just for the works, not extra for a safety check (which was included, whereas the other company would have charged extra). They were flexible with the days to work around us, our electrician turned up exactly on time and was friendly and efficient. He even fixed a couple of small things for us without charging. I cannot recommend this Service highly enough. From the first call to completion, the whole process was fast, efficient, well communicated and very reasonably priced. We had an old issue with wiring; the first visiting team spotted the fault, we had a quote within an hour and we went ahead. The whole job was complete within 90 minutes and even the first days’s consultation charge was scrapped. A job very well done by a very friendly and professional team! We will be using this Company again for sure! Highly impressed!

Amazing service from Simon and his workers, however I found the attitude from Louise to be quite rude and erupt . Considering she is the first port of call for all jobs I found her communication skills of a very strict headmistress who hated her job, which in return discouraged me from booking any further jobs with this company which is a shame as the work was above and beyond . Such a shame .

Simon Christopher Electrical have just completed several jobs for me they changed interior lights and replaced a bathroom fan their electrician also spent time checking out a problem with sockets. They did a really good job of installing a new EV Charger, plus completely changing our fuse box to one that could support more channels and also meet new regulations. The cable channeling was neat, and all our furniture was replaced once the job was done.

Four years on and still protected! This is actually my second review for “Simon Christopher Electrical”. The first review was for the fantastic complete rewire they did for me following on from a devastating ordeal from a “cowboy” company that had “botched” up a rewire on my property. To cut a long story short Simon Christopher Electrical rescued us and restored my faith in this trade. As you know we are forever thankful to you. Now 4 yrs on. We have NOT had a single problem with the wiring! And most recently the electrical fuse box tripped due to a faulty cable (my cable) that went from the outside plug socket to our electrical vehicle thus preventing damage to the vehicle and preventing a potential fire! For this me and my family salute you Simon for taking pride, taking no short cuts and doing the job right! 4 yrs on your wiring is still perfect and continues to protect our growing family - thank you. For anyone reading this review who may be looking for a genuine electrical contractor that answers the phone, speaks to every individual with respect and does the job right with no exception I personally urge you to look nowhere else! Had HUB garden lights installed about a year ago by them which are fantastic. My electric started to trip and i isolated it to the garden lights. Aftercare service is excellent they offered to come out same day but next day was fine and found the issue was a light full of water. Replaced light and no charge. They have also done other work over the years like replacing the main fuse box with a bigger one etc. Great service.
I ran into problems late on Friday afternoon. Louise was quick to respond to my call and talked me through all the options to potentially fix it, before arranging for an electrician to call at 4:30. Had a full house rewire carried out by Simon Christopher. Very happy with the job done. Old 1930s house and was expecting lots of plaster to have fallen off but the chasing was very neat and tidy. Simon was always available for queries and was able to pop round to check in and resolve/answer anything.

We had a circuit fault in the kitchen meaning none of our electrical items were working. After making a phone call to SCE they were able to send an very capable electrician within 2 hours who found the fault and carried out the repair. Amazing service, and an acceptable charge for the work. I highly recommend them.

Have used this business for a couple of jobs now, this one was to install a HIVE thermostat on my boiler. Booked in quickly, turned up on time and rewired neatly,and following a query from me set up a follow up call to explain the system operation. Carried out an additional follow up visit unprompted to check the system and do a small improvement, which was great for me as a customer.

A brilliant company. The lady on the phone was so helpful with the information she gave and clear. Archie came and installed new consumer unit and an EV charging unit. He is clearly a knowledgeable young man and did a very neat and tidy job even cleaning the floor afterwards. Had our Consumer Unit updated by Archie today. Really knowledgable and took pride in his work. Did a great job in a few hours and left everything spotless. The components chosen are all high quality. We'd been experiencing random trips of an RCD covering six other circuits (most of the house) and one of the other RCBOs was faulty (wouldn't trip when test button pushed). Simon came out to have a look and ignoring the mess of wires found that the main switch was showing signs of scorching. He recommended an upgrade to a CU. Two days later Archie arrived to do the job. Now the CU complies with modern building regs, protects each circuit individually, has spare capacity, a surge protection device and is much more aesthetically pleasing and professional looking. Top job!

Having an exterior flood light fitted. Electricians arrived to do the job at the exact time agreed. There was no mess when the work was completed. They returned the following day to adjust the beam's distance. I thought the cost was reasonable. The customer service throughout was excellent, both from the office and the installers.

I've now used Simon Christopher 3 times and have always been delighted with their service. A few days ago, they assisted an elderley relative who's electric had gone off. The electrician was there within 40 minutes and 15 minutes later, their electric was back working again. What a brilliant company and I very highly recommened them.

Had my security cameras installed by Simons team. Professional, friendly and also super tidy making sure not a spec of dust was left (also took their shoes off when entering as I have new carpets without me having to ask) The job was done I’m a timely manner and also the electrician took me through the settings on my new devices (ring appliances) and ensured everything was to standard before leaving I would highly recommend SCE to anyone and will deffo be using again for all my electrical needs
First time using Simon Christopher Electricals ("SCE"). I'd bought a wired Ring video doorbell, to replace our existing wired doorbell. The Ring needs greater power than a simple doorbell, and came with its own transformer. I decided I'd get it professionally installed, but was let down by the first firm I tried to use. So I followed up on a recommendation, and contacted SCE. Simon came round to inspect, and verbally quoted £180-200. An email quote arrived an hour later, at £200 (but PLUS VAT, so £240 in total). I thought this was a lot, for what I suspected would be a relatively quick/simple job. We wanted it doing before going on holiday, so I agreed, but not before feeding back that the quote was at the top of the range verbally quoted, and asking "If the job proceeds quicker than Simon has estimated, can the final bill be adjusted to reflect that?" An electrician (and a young apprentice) duly arrived in the designated two hour window. The electrician did some of the work himself, and oversaw the apprentice doing some of it (though it was effectively a one man job). At the end of the installation the electrician offered to set everything up for me on the Ring app, but hoping to save time (and cost) I said I'd do it myself (and I did). However, the bill came through that same day, at the full £240 per the written quote. The electrician and his apprentice were on site for 45 mins, and (other than a DIN enclosure, which wouldn't cost more than a tenner) there were no materials. Would I use SCE again? Possibly. They were certainly professional and efficient throughout, so absolutely no complaints there. However, I was hoping to have found a 'go to' firm to whom I would immediately turn to for any electrical work, safe in the knowledge (from experience) that they would always charge me a ‘fair’ amount for the work undertaken. I certainly haven’t found that, as I feel like I paid a pretty substantial premium, for what was always likely to be a small/quick job. So whilst I would consider using SCE again, I would never do so without seeking an alternative quote (which is a shame).
Simon, Steve and team came to do the lighting for our newly landscaped garden. They, along with lovely Louise, were fantastic and exceeded our expectations. They were a pleasure to deal with, really responsive, took on some additions to requirements without issue and have done a great job, I'm so happy with the garden lighting.
Got Simon in to fix work that a previous electrition messed up and didn't complete. The service and quality from Simon and his team is amazing. Got all the work done with minimum stress and disruption. A bit more in price, but well worth it for the service they offer. Will be using them again.
Used these guys 3 or 4 times now, I would highly recommend them. I have had a new consumer unit fitted, an alarm fitted, outdoor sockets front and back, they even laid armoured cable to the back of my garden. Each time they come they are proffesional and polite bunch of lads, very helpful and never leave any mess. Also, Louise is the best at sorting things out when you need it :)

Great service from Simon Christopher Electrical. Parents house alarm was broken and making noise. Phoned them up and within 30 minutes, an electrician was there to sort. He was polite and courteous throughout, with no mess at the end of the job. Call out charge was advised beforehand and no other surprise charges. Excellent all round
