Our electrics blew today, we called Dave, aka our Sunday hero. He was at the house within the hour and with the right part. He knew what he was looking for and made the repairs required. Having experienced a full loss of electrical power, my paid emergency cover with an insurer failed to materialise. After 2 days, I decided to get a local electrician. The stand out reviews were for Dave. He arrived within half an hour of my call. Dave set about finding the fault, whilst restoring power to other areas. Dave proved to be polite, professional, and he had a wealth of experience and knowledge which was reassuring. He was utterly confident that he could find the fault and fix it. He certainly did! Apparently a rodent had chewed a cable! He not only bypassed the damaged cable, but then came back the next morning to check and test all the sockets. He is the Fault Finder General. If you find yourself in the predicament that I was in, you will find that it is not the cost that is important but the outcome! Dave is a very nice, honest, fairly priced, career served Electrician of some 40 odd years experience and it shows in the quality of and pride in his work. He upgraded my Hager consumer unit in line with current regulations, added a circuit for future car charging socket, safety tested all the circuits in the house and installed an outdoor socket all for a very reasonable price. I can't recommend Dave highly enough to deal with any urgent/emergency repair. He answered straight away, was with me in minutes, returned the next day (on a bank holiday weekend) and did a tricky repair flawlessly. He is clearly very skilled and extremely pleasant to deal with as well. I will be keeping him on speed dial.

Dave came round to sort out a power loss to my shed for me. He sorted it within minutes. Very polite. Knowledgeable by and came round when he said he would. I want some more electrical work done later in the year and will definitely be calling Dave back to do the work for me. Highly recommended

David carried out a landlord inspection and the follow up work, which included replacing the dated consumer unit. I do not live near Rugby and couldn’t be present, so needed someone trustworthy and professional to do this work, communicate well and not overcharge. A superb job replacing old broken fluorescent fitting with modern LED fitting in Mum's kitchen. She was struggling without lighting and he fitted us in at very short notice, which is very much appreciated, and was friendly, courteous and highly professional. Thank you!

Excellent experience. I needed a few jobs doing - some external lights and motion sensors put up, electrics wiring to external CCTV cameras (and the cameras mounted), and a couple of new outside plug sockets adding to the house. He put a lot of thought and care into making each of the jobs as neat as possible, I was delighted with the result. He was polite, professional and fairly priced. I would use him again.

We have used Mr Shaw for three jobs now and will use him again. We had an emergency late in the evening where the fire brigade told us to call an electrician, Mr Shaw was very helpful and came to our property straight away after finishing his day's work (very much appreciated) and quickly fixed the problem with the sockets for a good price. We then used him again for two more jobs as we have just moved into our new property. He is very professional, pleasant and thorough, taking pride in his work. Delighted to have a reliable, professional electrician to call on. Mr Shaw came promptly and did an excellent job for us. He also offered to double check all of the electricity safety in our house after he had slight concern about the way a double plug had been installed previously, which he did without extra charge and luckily found everything in order. I got into difficulties trying to fit new ceiling lights (I know amatures) found Dave Shaw at Aslawn Electrical Services he came round within an hour and within 30 minutes had sorted my lights out. I was also surprised at the very reasonable fee he asked for. I have since called Dave for advice and he has been most helpful. One of those companies I would highly recommend.

Had my electrics blow on the Christmas weekend and I was urgently searching around for an electrician to come out and resolve the problem. I called a two other Rugby Electricans and then my third call was to Ashlawn Electrical Services and they came out within 30 minutes and within and hour my problem was solved and my electrics were back on.
