Really good service from Beckley Electrical. Sorted out all the electrics for new kitchen and helped out with another issue in the bathroom while on site. Very approachable and respectful of property. I would recommend them.

Derek replaced our old messy fuse boards with a new modern one. We have an old house and it was quite a challenge but he did an excellent job.

Excellent work! Many thanks Derek.

Had a situation with supposed earth problems. Made an appointment with Derek for Beckley Electrical and he did a thorough and complete check of all circuits and systems, luckily no problems. I also asked for help on several other subjects which he answered and gave really good advice. Totally friendly and approachable guy and would thoroughly recommend the company. I decided to have the whole upstairs lighting system replaced with more modern wiring. On the day, Derek and Nathan completed everything I needed, including some extra switches etc that were really useful, gave some advice for the future and hoovered everywhere they’d been working. Couldn’t ask for more and all at a very good price. Thank you.

Beckley Electrical were superb for our Ring Cameras installation. We had a front doorbell camera, internal cameras, chime and an external camera with flood lighting. Bob (our installler) arrived to survey the property and provided useful advice in terms of installation points, hiding the wiring and any privacy issues with neigbours. The quote was received quickly and the work scheduled. As requested, the wiring was completely secluded and installation areas left clean and tidy. The service received was top notch and the whole process was reliable and smooth from property survey, quote and installation. I'd absolutely recommend Beckley Electrical.

Very reliable service provided. Have used a few times now. Would happily use again.

Explained the issue clearly, very professional, and thorough. Would recommend in the future.

Derek at Beckley has completed two jobs for us for a year or so (the last one being in September 2025) - internal electrical/USB socket & lighting replacements and then outdoors putting in external sockets and cabling. His work was excellent and competively priced. He turned up when arranged, ensured beforehand what any specific requirements were and cleaned/cleared away before leaving. He proactively found better cabling and lighting solutions than we expected. All in all a high quality sparky that I'd have no hesitation in recommending based on our experience.

Derek from Beckley Electrical carried out work on my EICR report for a flat I rent out. His pragmatic approach was welcomed. He turned up when he said he would, carried out the work to an excellent standard and didn't exceed his quote. I'd wouldn't hesitate in using him again.

I used Beckley Electrical for the first time recently. Derek installed some sockets & power spurs throughout a property I am renovating. Derek did a great job & offered great advice. Derek is an honest tradesmen. I would have no hesitation in using his services in the future & would recommend Derek to friends & family.

We have used Beckley Electrical several times now, most recently to install all the cabling in our new extension. We have always been very pleased with all the electrical work that Derek has done for us. Beckley Electrical has now become our "goto" firm when we need any electrical work doing. Excellent service!

As a former electrician I can recommend Derek for any domestic electrical works, he is knowledgeable, timely, polite, tidy and competively priced. He installed 2 consumer units with a link cable between to allow for future proofing. I intend to use him again.

Derek gave an accurate quote, did the work in a timely way and was very tidy. The admin element of booking the visits and sending the quote was also very good. We would use him again.

Did a good job!

We have had work done in the house by Derek previously which we were very happy with. We asked Derek to look at some problems with garden lighting which had been done by others. Derek identified the issues (some of which were concerning), explained what was needed, resolved them and carried out extensions to the lighting we requested. He did a fantastic job and we can't recommend him enough. He will always be our first port of call on anything electrical.

The work Derek done for me I was very pleased with he is so clean and tidy in his work I would highly recommend him

Excellent service. Sourced all the very specific items we required and did a good job. Will certainly use again.

Got an EiCR for a property purchase. Found them to be both friendly but also straight talking and advise me on key elements to address. Will be going back to them for the work.

Excellent service. Efficient, skilled and the knowledge of an experienced tradesman (ie able to sort the hidden problems inherent in dealing with electrical faults and replacing fittings)

Quick, attentive, efficient is how I would describe Beckley Electrical. We didn't have to wait long for an appointment to fix our problem and Derek went above and beyond the original job requirement to make sure all was well. After he left you would never have known he was here and the quality of his work is excellent. I wish I had other jobs he could do .............. watch this space.

Extremely professional. I had my fuse board replaced, everything was explained to me before and during the work. I would highly Beckley Electrical and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future.

Turned up on time job completed very quickly and efficiently

If you are looking for an electrician who is professional, knowledgable, respectful and personable, then Derek Beckley is your man. He had the professional courtesy to call me to say he was running a little late and asked if it was OK. He talked me through the work he intended to do and summarised his findings eloquently afterwards. I would, without hesitation, recommend Derek to anyone needing a good, trustworthy electrician.

Derek was great, he responded quickly, turned up on time, worked diligently and came up with a solution to improve on the original proposal whilst on the job. He was also polite, respectable and pleasant to work with. Highly recommended

Derek did and amazing job, really neat and was super reliable (turned up when he said he would). On top of that, really reasonable price for the whole job. I would definitely recommend to anyone and if I needed more work done would ask Derek to do it. Quote was also very reasonable. It is always difficult to find a good trades person, especially electricians and plumbers. Also handy to know that Derek's wife Sarah is a plumber, another contact to keep for future reference. Thanks very much Beckley Electrical you deserve the 5 stars!

Excellent service from Beckley Electrical when our electric kept tripping, Derek arrived quickly found the problem and has rectified the issue and we have also asked him to do extra work as we were so impressed with the service. Clean, professional and friendly.

I contacted this firm as a result of receiving a flyer in my letterbox. They were most efficient in arranging an appointment to inspect the job. Both text and email confirmations received. Quote was accepted and a date arranged for the work. Reminders as to time and date received. The work was carried out to a high standard and I have no hesitation in recomending Beckley Electrical.

Derek at Beckley Electrical is beyond doubt the best electrician I could have hoped for to update the electrics on my home. Having spoken to several others who from the very beginning set up a high cost of repair while being vague on details as to why. Derek throughout his inspection informed me of the relevant regulations, gave me the decisions of what was necessary, beneficial and personal preference which allowed me to make the best decision for me. The work he did was fantastic quality, quick and fairly priced and without doubt is the person I'll turn to should I require more work. I totally trust him, his expertise, and his work and can't rate him highly enough

Found out about Beckley via letterbox flyer, thought I would use local company. Very competitive quote and work was of high quality. Would recommend

Derek's a friendly guy, job well done

We have been using Derek for years and would highly recommend him x

Top-Notch Service from Derek - Highly Recommended! We recently contacted Derek to help with a few upgrades around the house—we wanted modern spotlights installed, our TV mounted on the wall, and some additional power points set up. Derek was quick to respond and got to work right away. His work was fast, but what really impressed us was the attention to detail. Everything from the cabling to the installation of the spotlights was handled with care, and the final look is exactly what we hoped for. It’s not just about having things done, but having them done right, and Derek nailed it. It was refreshing to work with someone as professional as Derek, especially after dealing with so many others who just didn’t make the cut. He listened and accomodated to what we wanted, gave some great advice from his experience, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Most importantly, Derek was instrumental in turning our vision into reality—our place now feels like the dream home we’ve always wanted. I’d recommend Derek in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled electrician. He’s a true professional who will take good care of your home and deliver exactly what you need.

Clear explanation of the time required and associated costs. Text reminders ahead of the days he was booked in. Very pleasant to deal with Delighted with service from start to finish.

Derek installed all the electrics & lighting for our landscaped garden and was fantastic from start to finish. He helped us with choice and placement of all the lights, including downlights on our garden fences, a LED strip along the edge of our patio, and updating some existing lighting like-for-like on the outside of our house. He installed a system that enables us to turn all the lights on/off with a wireless portable switch, and even installed an additional dimmer for the LED strip to get it to our desired brightness. Everything works perfectly and his communication was clear and responsive throughout the process. Highly recommend!

Very happy with the quality of work and the promptness and friendliness of the service. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Derek provided a thoroughly professional, first class service. Highly recommended

Derek was highly professional - he fitted an over chimney hood when other local electricians wouldn't touch such a small job. Would definitely use him again.

Very professional and high quality job. Very satisfied.

The pull light switch in our downstairs loo had stopped working leaving us with no light source there. Derek was able to come out the day I called and do the necessary repair. A quote had been given to me before he came and the actual was slightly less. A very positive first experience.

The engineer, knowing that we were without lighting in our living room, came as quickly as possible and swiftly detected the source of the problem which was quickly solved. A very professional and fairly priced company which I will certainly call on again, should the need arise

GREAT SERVICE!! I've used Derek a few times now and what a service and generally what a lovely person! He's fitted new lights in our attic conversion, a new fuse box and redone most of the lights in the entire house. He's been super helpful on a few safety issues we had and more recently helped us make our house EICR compliant when we rent in the near future. The main thing is, he gives me complete confidence about the safety of the electrics in my house, for friends and family. I would highly recommend!!

Derek was incredibly a tidy worker. I definitely recommend Derek to anyone. Excellent service all round Beckley Electrical

Upgrading my electric fuse box and earthing, professional and thorough job to solve the issues encountered. Top man and would highly recommend.

Beckley Electrical are very responsive, do a great job in a timely, tidy manner and clean up after their work. Very impressed!

Earlier this week I was having issues with my circuit breaker tripping, which meant I couldn't heat some rooms because my flat's heating is entirely electric - terrible prospect during this cold weather. The morning after identifying the approximate problem I rang round electricians and fortunately Derek was available to visit that afternoon. After a couple of hours he identified the location of fault and fixed the damaged wiring. Since then everything seems to be working correctly. I found Derek to be very professional and he had all the necessary equipment and experience to resolve the issue quickly. The only minor - and I stress minor - criticism I have is that Derek did leave a small mess. To locate the problem he has to take plug facia away from the wall to test and this did cause a bit of localised debris. From my previous experience some electricians have cleaned up after themselves but Derek did not do this in every location he worked - he did do some. However, this is a minor quibble and I will certainly consider Derek in future if I require an electrician.

Turned up on time and completed the job to a very high standard leaving everything nice and tidy. Overall an excellent experience and I will certainly use their services again!!

Derek arrived on time and completed the project on time and on budget, including a couple of sensible changes he came up with. The parts he used all look great quality. Will definitely use him again!
