Happy customers ! We contacted John as we were having issues with our domestic electrics constantly tripping out. On first visit he identified the cause, put in a temporary fix and advised us to upgrade the fuse box and inadequate wiring. It turned out to be quite a complex removal of the old and installation of the new RCBO, but has been finished ,checked and certified within the original quote. We would not hesitate to recommend him and his work to anyone.

JD Electrics is the only electrics company I trust. Anytime there’s a problem with any of our electrics he comes and does a great job.

John was really helpful, our prime contractor walked away from site and refused to engage with us, claiming bankruptcy, but are still trading. We had no one to complete second fix. John came to site and completed second fix, and is continuing to help unpick the mess made by the prime contractor.

I recommend John without hesitation, I’m involved in the construction industry and recommend him to all my customers and only ever hear good things from them. You never have to wait too long for him to fit you in and his standard of work cannot be faulted. On top of that, he’s genuine, friendly and trustworthy, definitely one of the good guys.

John from JD electrics did a great job in getting the cooker extractor fan in for us. It is was a tight awkward site with a carport roof and boiler flue to the external side which we had to avoid so that the outlet was set out correctly inaccordance with the Building Regulations requirements. We would call John out again for any future electrical works related works when needed.

We used John for an inspection before buying a property, which he was very helpful arranging with the agents (we lived 3 hours away at the time), once we moved we have used John for several jobs including a new consumer box, adding a new ring for a replacement kitchen, adding power to our garden office, and installing an electric car charger. John was very helpful during his on site estimates for the jobs we wanted, as well as being friendly, professional and efficient while doing the work. He was also very flexible with arranging dates to do the work, fitting it in around other things we were doing on the house at the time.

John replaced a broken series of downlights with a modern LED set. I was very impressed with his work. Some of the lights proved difficult to remove because of the way they were installed but he persisted with them, and ended up doing an excellent job. I'd thoroughly recommend.

All the lights in the bathroom of a flat I rent out had suddenly gone out. A fuse hadn't gone, so it was hard to see what the problem was. I don't live nearby, so wanted to get an electrician. John was able to diagnose and fix the problem within an hour, so I only had £90 to pay in total.

We had been having problems with our energy supplier for a while, especially since having a smart meter installed, with extremely high electric. After phoning the energy company multiple times and being told vague/different things by each rep over the phone, one rep said that we had to pay for our own electrician to help us figure out why our bills are so high. I gave JD Electrics a call and John was really helpful and encouraged us to simply switch and make a complaint rather than spend our money on him visiting. He spoke to me for a good 10 minutes. My partner and I afterwards sought advice regarding this energy supplier via Citizens' Advice, but we're still not satisfied with the outcome and will follow John's advice to contact Ombudsman. Thank you for your help and advice -- we will definitely contact you in the future if we need any electric work!
