Yup, the good reviews are on point. Gavin & his team did a full rewire of my house, and every aspect of working with him was A1. Starting with a detailed and fair quote; he made great suggestions that I hadn't thought of; the works, and communications were done well and on time; he was flexible to changes in my plans....generally speaking, he has a great attitude, so all-in-all I could relax and trust that the job was in good hands.
I have used Dorset electrical in the last couple of months for an extension on my house . I found Gavin and his team very professional and helpful and nothing was ever a problem. They made the job stress free and the work is of the highest quality.

Always been delighted with the work from Dorset Electrical. Our house isn't easy at times, with lathe and plaster walls Mark, our regular electrician has always managed to find a way to do the job neatly and in good time.
I've used Dorset Electrical many time, from simple light switch change to a complete loft rewire. Always on time, tidy and professional. Good advice always given and never any issues with the work. I wouldn't go anywhere else for any electrical work.

I have awarded a range of large projects, across multiple sites, to his company which have all been completed to the highest standard, on time and at the quoted cost. Our projects were all mixed electrical and networking installs. I required that work in lofts must be well organised and routed to minimise possible issues to access and safety of staff or future workers, he made a point of taking me up into the roof spaces to see the standard of the work on job completion. It was very nicely done and extremely well organised. Looking through the reviews here I am surprised by the one star review. In my experience Gavin is very responsive and customer focussed - if there was a problem he would definitely engage in discussion to determine what might have happened. It just doesn't sound like his team at all. In my experience it can be hard to find people who turn up when they say they are going to, ensure they understand the job, do the job, and can generate good relationships with the teams at our locations. Gavin does all of this and I do not hesitate to put work in his direction. Well done Gavin and the team.

Both times we have used Gavin he has responded promptly and has arrived at the given time. He is pleasant and professional. His advice is always perfect in response to our issues and the jobs are carried out neatly and with in a short time frame. Elderly friend had major electrical problem, Dorset Electrical were recommended by the managing agents for her block of flats. They attended promptly, made the property safe to remain habitable and advised what work needed to be carried out in the longer term. Throughout, respectful of the age of the person being dealt with and the fact that, in these early days of our acquaintance, there was a pandemic raging. Long story short, my friend has moved flats rather than face the prospect of major electrical work. New flat is all electric so pre-purchase DE carried out a full survey, established a couple of minor jobs were required. They happily explained in layman's terms and, after many months, when my friend finally moved they attended within days of her picking up the keys. Attended to by two lovely guys, again very good at having to explain things to one elderly lady and her friend (me). They arrived on time and were really clean, tidy and efficient. 10/10 as far as we're concerned
Have used Dorset Electrical on quite a few occasions to fit kitchen lighting and sockets, outside electrical socket and lounge sockets in our flat and also had new ceiling roses, sockets and inspection certificates on 2 of our rental properties. Have alway found them very professional and competitive on price, would definitely recommend and have done to friends and family. 10/10

I've used Dorset Electrical many times, most recently to rewire an older property and bring it up to date. They were very professional, diligent, and tidy. Gavin is very knowledgeable and explains matters in an easy to understand way! We were kept informed throughout work and electricians were always on time.
Just lifted a rug to find floor deliberately damaged by contractors then concealed to hide, plus mess not cleaned up. Poor service. Make sure you check their work as I trusted would be done to a good standard.
