Ben’s been absolutely spot on from the start. I’ve probably made the whole process slightly more complicated than it needed to be by asking loads of questions, throwing different ideas into the mix and changing direction a few times along the way, but he’s always been patient, accommodating and happy to work through things with me. What I’ve really appreciated is that whenever we’ve come up against a problem or limitation, his attitude has always been to look for a sensible way around it rather than just taking the easiest option or saying it can’t be done. He’s taken the time to explain things properly, listened to what I’m actually trying to achieve and has genuinely tried to come up with the best solution for me rather than just pushing a standard package. Evo Renewables transformed our home into an energy efficient, cool and quiet oasis with a really nice looking roof to match! The work consisted of: Roof refresh 12 solar panels over an East/West split SigEnergy batteries, inverter and gateway 3 new split box air conditioners Ben was very responsive from the initial request through to completion, his knowledge of renewables is something to behold. I chose Evo Renewables (over my ‘Big Tech’ energy supplier) due to their highly rated independent installer status, bespoke advice and high quality electrical work, not to mention their ability to also fulfil my request for new/replacement air conditioner units. The scaffolding and roofing contractors that Evo Renewables partners with were a credit to them, I was very pleased with the work that they did. The cost for the whole project was less than I had anticipated it would be, which was nice. At the time though in May 2026, the VAT exemptions for renewables were still in effect. Evo renewables were able to complete all of the work above in just 5 days which was amazing. The new system has been up and running now for a few days and we are really happy with it. The panels are producing copious amounts of electricity, most days so far, achieving well over 30Kwh by time the sun disappears. The new Toshiba air conditioning units are very impressive, using the right combination of settings to achieve the desired temperatures with as little as 400w per unit is simple. Ben advised to go with a single multi-split external unit rather than 3 individual units, great advice as this has given us a lot more room down the side of the house. In preparation for the acceptance of our energy suppliers to take exported electricity from the new system, I have set up the Sigen AI Mode in the SigEnergy app (which is really good) to manage ‘Agile’ type import and export tariffs from Octopus for us to make full use of all that extra electricity being generated at this time of year. We are really happy that we went with the SigEnergy products over any of the other options. If you are looking for something similar, I would not hesitate to recommend Evo Renewables to take care of it.

I had an excellent customer service experience with Evo Renewables. I needed a quote for a new inverter and solar panel meter move. They were happy to come out and do the quote (unlike some of the larger companies). I compared 3 quotes and theirs was the cheapest. Ben did a great job of installing a new inverter with App so I can track what power is being generated. He also moved my solar panel meter for a low cost with no mess. I would highly recommend this business for your renewable energy needs 👍👍

Ben was super professional, tidy and informative of process and cost. He took note of my aesthetic requests and delivered the EV charger install with full set up with the OEM app. Very recommended.

Ben took the time to come out and talk to us about options which meant we were able to spec out what we wanted. Then they were booked in to install a month later. Scaffolding went up on the Saturday, installation was on the Monay and Tuesday, and then the scaffolding came down on the following Saturday. So all done within a week. Very neat and tidy job and all the staff have been easy to communicate with and clear. Now enjoying watching our power useage and solar generation on the Sigen app and looking forward to the summer when our useage will drop and our generation will rocket!

Highly recommend! We had an air-conditioning unit installed to be used year round for heating and cooling. We were given great advice on what unit was best to go for with what we needed, and it was installed really quickly. It has now been in for a few months and we couldn't be happier with the end product!

Ben installed a Bosch 3200i air-conditioning unit for us and It saved us all from some very uncomfortably hot summer days this year. His installation was on time, extremely neat and very competitively priced. The running costs are very low as we have solar panels so obviously the sunnier it is the warmer it becomes but the air-conditioning is active for free. What I wasn’t expecting however was as it’s got colder we have started using it as a heater and is extremely efficient. Hardly using any electricity at all. We use it to keep the kitchen warm over the six hours we have at cheap overnight electricity rates. I would recommend Ben for your air conditioning electrical and solar needs. Always a pleasure to deal with.

Needed an extra consumer unit fitting, so my home inverter and battery doesn’t see my EV as a load. Very quick quote, agreed a date and done in a couple of hours. First charge out of the normal EV tariff and worked great

EVO installed our charger on 7th August, so we've had it for 2 months now. We found it easy to get used to, and have had no faults so far. As we have solar panels, and don't do frequent high mileages, it has enabled us to minimise not only the petrol usage on our Hybrid VW Golf, but also the amount of electricity required from the Grid (the bright skies this summer have of course helped to produce loads of power from the panels !). Altogether we are very happy with the Zappi charger itself and also with the service from Ben F..

I would like to recommend Evo Renewables after they did some work at my home. I contacted Ben after hearing about an interface that heats my water from excess power generation from my solar panels. Rather than the excess power generated by my solar panels going back to the grid, the power is diverted to my immersion heater to heat my hot water. Saving me money on my gas bill.

After experiencing nearly three years of problems with our existing solar system, we called EVOtech who came around and quickly explained what the problems were. It became evident that we would always have an unreliable system even though it was only five years old. Ben, the technician, outlined several options to us for repairs, but there was no guarantee that this would ultimately be any better. As we wanted also to update the capacity of our batteries, change over to overnight charge up at low cost rates, have the system removed from the attic due to fire risk, and have power when off grid, we opted for an Anker Solix 1X combined battery and inverter on an outside wall of the house as being the most cost effective. Ben came along and, in a single day, did all the necessary work. We're very happy with the work done and the equipment supplied and very, very happy to recommend EVOtech for Solar Systems and we look forward to calling Ben back when we've saved enough to have the EV Charger fitted in the garage.

Absolutely faultless service from Ben and his team at Evo Renewables with the design and installation of our solar PV and home battery solution. Ben worked through a number of iterations of the solution proposal until we reached the one that best met our specific requirements and budget. He also completed the DNO application for our particular system. Installation took a couple of days and was hassle free, losing power for only about an hour while the system was wired in to our grid supply. Everywhere was left clean and tidy once complete. Handover paperwork, including MCS certificate was issued immediately upon completion of the install. All in all a fantastic project completed by a fantastic local company and we would highly recommend them to anybody considering a solar PV and/or home battery system.

This was the installation of an EV charger where our electricity meter was on the "wrong" side of our house to where we wanted the charger to be located next to the garage. After an eclectic selection of so called solar experts had visited my property, I began to feel a little bit disillusioned by the whole process. Ben from Evo Renewables was recommended to my by a colleague at work. He drove a long way too see me and gave me thorough, concise and obviously well informed advise. After agreeing details with them, everything was taken out of my hands in terms of agreements and documentation. They arrived on the agreed day. They were courteous and professional, which includes tidy ( which you don’t associate with a lot of electricians!!) They were efficient and timely. Any concerns were addressed and dealt with. Would have no problem being contacted if you were looking for reviews or feedback.

Ben and the Evo Team have been faultless throughout the process. Providing updates from beginning to end, elaborating on areas I wanted more information on. Evo arranged for the scaffolding which was factored into their pricing, this was put up the day before install and removed a week later. Day of the install Ben and Matt were happy to assist me with more questions about additional monitoring of my heat pump and ultimately led to n extra being placed onto the fitting. Then install is very tidy and clean. Everyone was courteous, professional and generally nice people. All paperwork, certificates with relevant bodies were issued the day after install with export mpan requested. After reading some people takes weeks etc to get their certificates back , it was a big and nice surprise. Overall top job, would recommend and would happy to have back again.

Reached out to Ben on a recommendation when our 11 year old inverter failed - the original installers having gone under some years ago. Ben advised on which inverter would be the best replacement in the circumstances and arranged a visit from one of his team within 10 days to remove the dead unit replace and commission the new one. Matty turned up spot on time, caught me on the hop as I was running behind but gave me a hand to clear the work area and cracked on. All was done in an hour, clean tidy (no mess at all) very helpful and polite - I'll be recommending to the new owners when they move in to keep the system serviced and up to spec. From start to finish Evo Renewables are first class. From the first phone call with Ben everything just seemed right. He arranged the call and called on time. He spent as long as we both needed to get an idea of what was right for me. He offered invaluable advice and answered a mountain of questions from me. Ben then submitted a proposal to me with a few options, a couple more calls and emails and Ben arranged to visit our house to confirm all was as I had stated. We discussed and agreed the options and Ben went away and revised his offer to reflect our agreement. Once received, I signed on the dotted line and left everything to Ben and his team. I had I settled for a 10KW solar array with 6KW inverter and a Givenergy all in one with Gateway. This needed DNO agreement which Ben sort and gained in line with his estimated timescale. He then called me and said he could be ready to start Monday week as originally pencilled in. The Friday before the start date the scaffolders arrived erected the scaffold and were gone within a couple of hours. Nice guys as well. Monday bang on 9 AM as agreed the team including Ben arrived to start work. Unfortunately, so did Gale force winds. I could believe it when then went up on the roof and put the rails up and said they would take the panels back with them and fit them later in the week. Tuesday, Matty arrived early and started the electrical works. The attention to detail was lovely to see. Everything plumb and in line. Ben arrived mid morning with more equipment and completed the install. Wednesday the 24 panels went up on the roof and connection were brought down to the equipment leaving Thursday for testing and commissioning. Then a full demonstration for me. To say that I am happy with the installation, the service I received and the quality of the workmanship would be an understatement. I whole heartedly recommend Evo Renewable if you are as fussy as me and expect to get treated with respect, have people arrive when they say they will and want a quality installation backed by long term warranties from well know names in the renewable world. I didn't even mind parting with my money, now that says something!! Well, what you waiting for, make the call. I don't regret it. ps. The back up provided by Evo is brilliant as well.

EVO have recently completed a Solar and Battery install for me – I selected EVO after working with several companies to get quotes. Whilst not the cheapest quote what attracted me was that I was working directly (and face to face) with someone who was both the company owner and who would be involved in the install too, rather than a sales rep or ‘designer’ and that they understood my requirements fully. There was excellent communication throughout ahead of the install, the team arrived on the allotted day and completed the work within the agreed timeframe, I was impressed with their approach to their work which was highly professional and friendly, and they were able to answer all my questions throughout. Subsequently we have had electricians to do some other work on the house and they commented that the install was amongst the best they had seen for many years which provides me with great confidence. I have no hesitation in recommending EVO for this type of installation.

Like others here, I would recommend Ben and his crew highly. I had a GivEnergy 3.8Kw Inverter and 8.2Kw battery added to my existing solar system and also my consumer unit moved. After I contacted Ben earlier this month he diagnosed my problem over the phone and promptly gave me a quotation, which I accepted. I was quickly given a visit date and between then and now I was able to email Ben a few questions, which he always promptly answered. During their visit Ben and Matt removed all the panels and replaced all the previous (defunct) installer's cabling and connectors. They also identified and removed a superfluous Earth connection that may have contributed to my problem. I found Ben and Matt to be polite, helpful and efficient, completing the work quickly. Time will tell if the problem is truly fixed, but I am confident in the work that has been done and have every reason to believe that it is fixed. The sun promptly came out and my solar panels are generating power again :) I won't hesitate to contact Evo Renewables for any future work or problems.

I decided to go with solar and a battery recently and found Ben online as a local. Process was easy - with installation of 7 panels and the battery / inverter done in just two days. He happily responded to my numerous questions over email usually answering within just a couple hours. He's also been giving some after-installation support as I've been having a couple of issues with the battery, issues which aren't related to the installation. Would definately recommend!

I recently had a 10Kwh Libbi battery system and solar panels installed on my converted conservatory roof. Not a huge installation but something that other companies I engaged did not want to consider. Just 2 days to install and commission the system and all done with EPS system tested. I am really happy with the solution. Only problem was the datasheet with the startup voltage for the Libbi solar invertor was incorrect (130v listed, however 150v updated) and this had been revised without updating the installer. Unfortunately this parameter could not be changed. That meant that the panels that had been installed would generate power, but not as often as I would have expected. After a discussion options with Ben, a new model of panel was chosen and the replacements installed without any fuss or bother. Great customer service and easy to work with. I will be going back to Evo in the future when I have additional components, car charger etc, installed.

I've used Ben several times now and I cannot recommend him enough, I've used various trades over last year or so and Ben is by far the best. He is professional, knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and everything is caried out to a high standard. I can't fault him on comms either, phone calls, emails and messages were replied to almost instantly even out of hours. I have recommended him to family and friends and will continue to do so

Ben is a professional and experienced solar system installer who provided invaluable recommendation when i asked him to provide me a quote for my second set of solar system which is kind of north facing, the first set was led down by E.On...anyway, he does listen to what my requirement is and recommended the most suitable Inverter, changed from 3kw Home Wave to a 6kw Home Hub (future proof for power cut), and adding the DC Battery for my situation. it's been nearly a month and everything working seamlessly, definitely recommended if someone is looking for a new or second or even third set of solar system.
