Our gas boiler engineer recommended Elderwood electrical to us as we needed a reliable electrician to do some rewiring and installation of bathroom extractor fan and spotlights. This was the best recommendation ever. Clint carried out an amazing job with very little disruption. Phase one completed. Phase 2 to follow in the New Year. Really disappointing. The buyer of our flat arranged an electrical safety inspection through our estate agent and we heard nothing from the company about the time they would come or any details about the inspection before the person turned up. Had they called to give us a time we could have discussed a few things. When the guy showed up, we politely asked him to wear a mask (we are very much in the thick of a pandemic and I am a nurse who has watched too many people die of covid and want to keep those I interact with at work safe). We both had masks on and had opened the windows - simple things to minimise risks to us all. The guy got very stroppy, said he doesn't even have a mask anymore. When we politely offered a disposable one he refused - no mention of being exempt just said he doesn't want to - and angrily left. We've waited in all morning for nothing. Appreciate there are different views on mask wearing; if only they had got in touch with us beforehand we could have agreed to disagree about this and found someone else. My question to potential customers is: Would you really want someone with such a reckless attitude to other people's safety completing your electrical safety inspection?
Elderwood was recommended by another electrician as the "best sparky he knows". I found the Elderwood team to be professional, knowledgeable and worked with the business to facilitate as much up time as possible.
