I'd been recommended Lawrence by some neighbours in Horfield and I'd like to pass on my recommendation too. Lawrence installed two light fittings to a high standard within a couple of hours (see photos attached). He was also really flexible after a delay in receiving a couple of parts I'd ordered online and was happy to rearrange. Lawrence is really friendly and also gave me some useful information about replacing our smoke alarms which had expired. I would recommend Lawrence to anyone needing some electrical work done!

What a great guy Lawrence is! Came to look at my heating element for my bathroom Electric rail. He was very thorough and stayed for about 30 minutes. Even though in the end it was a job for a plumber Lawrence never charged me for his time and gave me great advice on other electric items. Lawrence came to do a few odd jobs around the house, replace the consumer unit and perform an electrical inspection. Throughout the entire process he was extremely friendly with great communication. He's extremely knowledgeable (we had a few good conversations on how to do a couple of the tasks, and at no point did I feel pressured to choose a particular option) and competent - he clearly takes pride in what he does, making sure it's to a high standard and leaving everything tidy. And as others have said, he's able to be professional while also having some great banter. I honestly cannot recommend Lawrence enough, and I'll definitely be using him again for anything that might need doing in the future.

2 years ago, Lawrence rewired our house and recently he came back to support with our bathroom renovation. The work he carried out involved wiring in a mirror and heating element for a towel rail, installing an extractor fan and moving lights. We were impressed by Lawrence's future planning and foresight during the initial rewire, which made the bathroom work easier. We were kept up to date with clear communication throughout, and we were very pleased with the work.

Lawrence was very polite and very efficient. He quickly diagnosed the problem, talked us through it and clearly explained what the solution would be and gave us an accurate indication of cost. Lawrence did an excellent job reconfiguring the lights in our hallway, installing several new lights and also a new socket. He was proactive in identifying some pre-existing electrical issues and clearly explained the best ways to address them, talking through the positives and negatives of each proposed solution. Not only did Lawrence help solve these issues but he was conscientious enough to sort them there and then. His technical knowledge and communication skills are great, he kept disruption to a minimum and was very tidy; I'm not sure my stairs have ever been cleaner! It's a shame however that his talents don't extend to singing. The fact he's so good at his job makes listening to off key renditions of Fleetwood Mac just about bearable. Lawrence is a true professional who just about managed to keep his trousers where they belong, sparing me the traditional flash of crack that can sometimes be associated with the trade. I would recommend Lawrence without hesitation.

Had a great experience with Electrical Solutions Bristol. Lawrence was brilliant — punctual, friendly, and really easy to communicate with. We originally asked him to quote for a few bits around the house (hallway light switch, bathroom downlights, and a garden light and outdoor socket). While he was there, he noticed our consumer unit was outdated and explained that it needed replacing before the other work could be done — joys of an old house! He was clear and honest about everything, gave us a quote, and came back to do the work quickly and on time. He kept us updated throughout so there were no surprises. Really nice guy and very professional. Would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again!
Lawrence was excellent. He was punctual, professional, and took the issue seriously from the start. We have been having ongoing issues with lights flickering randomly which was progressively getting worse. He carried out thorough checks at the consumer unit and then sensibly inspected the meter box, where he immediately noticed signs suggesting a supply-side fault. The lights starting flickering (always great when the issue actually props up when the craftsmen are there!) and he could hear crackling noises from the meter box. He correctly identified this as a potentially dangerous upstream issue and advised me to contact National Grid straight away. He stayed with me while I called 105, and then he talked to National Grid himself and explained the situation clearly to the network operator, and made sure it was treated as urgent. National Grid attended shortly afterwards and tightened all the connected and replaced a loose, overheating fuse holder in the service head. Although the fault was on the supply side and outside his legal remit to repair, his diagnosis, calm approach, and insistence on immediate escalation likely prevented a much more serious problem. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any electrical work.
We're extremely happy with the work Lawrence did of installing a kitchen extractor fan. He was creative in finding a workable solution, involved us in the process and explained to us different considerations, and had excellent communication throughout. Would highly recommend. Shortly after messaging him, an appointment was made for early the next day and the work was completed in an hour or so. We first found Lawrence through his great social media channel @bristolsparky and have used his services many times. We couldn’t be happier with the work carried out. Most recently Lawrence and his team helped rewire our utility room and kitchen. It began as a smallish job but turned into something much bigger when they quickly discovered our new house was not earthed, the cutout needed updating, the house alarm was faulty and under the floorboards was a wiring horror show! Everything was explained super clearly and was resolved in no time at the price quoted. The team were a joy to have around the house; hardworking, friendly and very funny. Lawrence installed an EV charger for me. He did a fantastic job especially as it wasn't a simple install. The consumer unit needed upgrading and the EV cable had to run from the front of the house to the end of the back garden. The whole job was done perfectly and there was no mess left behind. If you want someone who loves what they do, has amazing attention to detail and always goes above and beyond for his client, look no further than Lawrence. We needed a full house rewire but have two extensions planned in the near future and didn’t want to have to wait for them to complete to make progress on the rest of the house not touched by the extensions. Lawrence completed a re-wire including new consumer unit, lights, sockets, smokes and internet to all rooms and then future-proofed the rest of the house ready for the extension so there will be minimal disruption and we couldn’t be happier with the quality of the work. We will be getting Lawrence back in a year or so to complete the rewire when we have the extensions up and we wouldn’t use anyone else for our electrical needs now. Highly recommend!

Lawrence’s knowledge and expertise are unparalleled. He conducted an EICR (safety report) for our home and was thorough and detailed throughout. He kept us informed of the process and highlighted any problem areas and advised on remedial work that would need to be carried out. We then asked him to carry out these remedial works which included replacing our consumer unit (fuse box) and he did so efficiently and to a very high standard. Safety was his number one concern and to have found an electrician who cared so deeply in this way is most impressive. He did have a backlog of jobs, meaning he couldn’t carry out works immediately, but it was definitely worth the wait. I now feel safe in my home, which is all that matters. I would wholeheartedly recommended him and will definitely use his services again in the future.

Lawrence traced and fixed a failed socket at my Mums. It involved lifting floorboards and working backwards to locate the failed unit. He then replaced all the boards and the tumbledrier before tidying everything up. Very nice chap and 1st class job. Would recommend.

He first tackled the challenge of creating a suitable replacement for an ancient combination switch/socket, which powered an old immersion heater and oven (such a thing no longer exists). Lawrence did a full rewire of our house - the whole process from start to finish was outstanding. Lawrence and his team were very professional, highly skilled, so friendly and were a joy to have around - they made the whole experience much easier than is usually expected from a full rewire of a house! Lawrence even had to deal with two wasp nests in the loft and did so with gusto, humour and only a few stings!! Nothing was too big an ask and not only did he and his team complete the work to a high standard, in good time for a great price but they were so good natured and good company! He’s the number 1, we don’t want anyone else working on our electrics and this is why. I first got in touch with Lawrence after noticing 3 things: * His awesome Instagram skills and explanations * Proper labelling of what he’s fitted * Nicely lined up, neat cables What we didn’t realise is he’s a great singer and does a nice cover of many Beatles and Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac numbers. He’s also great at chasing after your dog who’s bolted across the road, can entertain kids and has some of the nicest tools sold by screwfix. Lawrence has been out to us a few times sorting lights, replacing the fuse board, chasing cables and fitting sockets. He’s also saved our bacon twice now by rewiring and fitting a new oven and hob days before Christmas. Been there for us late on a freezing cold sunday night when the power has gone and has dropped everything to sort it for us. He doesn’t just know how to do electrics properly, he’s very very good at it and spends time explaining things properly. We are far happier knowing Lawrence has done the job.

We've used Lawrence for a number of projects now, most recently the installation of our EV charger. He is always prompt with communication, on time, tidy and very knowledgeable. I was, literally and figuratively, in the dark until Lawrence came into my life. Having been dragged through the dust by a pair of cowboy builders to within an inch of my sanity, Lawrence arrived to solve (almost) all of my problems. I say almost because he has yet to make me rich or find me a nice husband. That said, there are very few things this man cannot do. And even fewer that he won't do with an excellent sense of humour. I review restaurants regularly. I can tell you that if Electrical Solutions Bristol were a restaurant, it would be Michelin star. It may even have multiple Michelin stars. It would have mood lighting moody enough to make Hollister blush and the whole damn place would be fire-proof. It would have powerful and yet silent extractor systems and the food would be understated but sensational. Diners would be desperately trying not to gush about it to their friends so that they might still be able to get a table without a six month wait. It would be fruitless. They'd tell everyone they know. People would travel from all four corners of the globe to visit Electrical Solutions Bristol... But in all seriousness, thank god for people like Lawrence. You won't find a better, more reliable, professional electrician if you look the world over.
I have used Lawrence multiple times over the past couple of years. He's an invaluable contact to have and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing or requiring electrical work. He has years of experience in both residential and commercial/industrial environments, works to a high standard that he holds himself to and will often go above what is required just to satisfy himself it has been done to a high standard. In April 2022, Electrical Solutions did a complete rewire of my entire house, installed new sockets, indoor and outdoor lighting, a new consumer unit and rewired existing fixtures and fittings. They did nothing short of the highest professional quality work. The owner prides himself on doing things the correct way and wont cut any corners whilst still charging a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

After a terrible experience with another electrician that left my house renovation project stalled, he came in, righted all the wrongs and came up with a plan to get everything back on track. He worked really hard to ensure my build could continue, he worked well with all the other tradespeople, and the work was all done to a really high standard.
