Jack is an exceptional electrician. Our shower wiring failed twice in one week at the Airbnb, and he was incredibly efficient in diagnosing the issue. He discovered it was faulty wiring and contacted his wholesaler, who delivered the replacement wire within 15 minutes talk about efficient service. He was also able to replace the wiring without turning off the breaker since I had the laundry machine running. He even wore foot coverings when entering the home such a thoughtful detail that shows his professionalism. J Clail Electrical Services undertook the challenging task of bringing the very dated electrics in our Georgian ground floor flat up to the latest EICR certificated standard, complete with new fuse board. The kitchen required a new underfloor feed and a complete rewire to cope with a new kitchen installation and a new induction hob. The high vaulted ceilings and complex plasterwork, combined with chandelier lighting throughout the flat, made it particularly important to minimize damage where rewiring was needed and the use of the latest radio controlled switches in some areas enabled us to avoid what would have involved costly repair work and to keep installation damage to a minimum. The planning, expertise and detail which J Clail Services put into our rewire project was most impressive and the work was carried out to a very high professional standard, with emphasis on detail and regular consultation. The result has been a very satisfactory conclusion to the project with certification at an affordable price which has enhanced the value of our property.

Jack rewired my whole house in 2021. About a week’s worth of work and he was very flexible with parts arriving at different times and working around my other renovation schedules. Rarely experienced service without drama or unnecessary dialogue. Straight to the point, very adaptive to the need (an old house which could have easily been an expensive and wasteful cost) the service was exceptional, time was managed particularly well (elderly occupant remained in the house during the re-wiring period) and we now have an electrician to trust for any related future business including knowledge of broader building services which this firm can recommend. More importantly; that I would trust. Welcome these days. This was a difficult re-wiring task to undertake and it was dealt with superbly. Since the installation, everything works as it should and compared to the original install, it all seems normal and as useable (this was not expected as the original power sockets were commonly available throughout the original 1960's layout of the house; including later adaptations). To have a safe, fully insurance-compliant dwelling without the risk of incident or accident for an elderly occupant (who has no intention of going anywhere else....) this was a particularly challenging job met with a fair and inexpensive cost, considering the task in hand. Another thing less to worry about. Outstanding.

I really can’t recommend Jack and his team enough. I’ve used his services a few times now and I’ve always found him to be professional and efficient, and his prices very reasonable. Recently I got him in to do a small job at my rental property. While he was there he spotted a serious safety issue in wiring someone else had previously done. The safety issue was in an area he wasn’t even working on - he just went above and beyond and thought he’d check anyway. I’m so relieved he did because the safety issue could have caused a fire and never would have been discovered otherwise. Brilliant service at a great price! We recently had a new side extension built and all the electrical installations were provided by Jack. From the outset, the communication was great and he worked with us to understand what we needed and where. Once the build got underway, Jack was quick and efficient with his work meaning no delay to the work going on around him and was also very flexible to come back when things hadn't progressed fast enough for him to complete his work. He also made suggestions as the work progressed for things we hadn't thought about (including a direct cable to the internet from the new office). These weren't a hard sell but rather ideas that we may not have thought of - he definitely wasn't offended if we said no.
