Reviews

5.0

One reviewer describes Eco Renewable Energy as managing a whole-house upgrade, including an extension, external insulation, windows, roof, render, solar, battery storage and a heat pump, and says the house was transformed. That reviewer says the heat pump provided plenty of hot water and consistent warmth in every room, and that the house ran entirely on electricity after the gas was disconnected. The same reviewer reports being pleased with the bills and says they would recommend Eco Renewable Energy. No other reviews were supplied, so no other customer experiences are recorded. No criticism is reported.

As a recent adopter of a new heatpump and other eco technology, I thought I would give you an honest assessment of our experience so far. The start of our journey began with the purchase of a 1930s detached house on the seafront in Meols last Autumn. The house had double glazing and a reasonable combi boiler but our first winter was an expensive and slightly chilly one. The house was draughty and, whilst warm when the heating was on, quickly lost its heat when it wasn’t. We decided that our plan for an extension should also include an upgrade of the fabric. We considered a heat pump, but were slightly wary because of the negative press and ill-informed opinion on heat pumps. However, looking at the facts and evidence, we were reassured. We contacted a number of companies for quotes, but it was only Martyn and Jenn at ERE who could manage the whole project. They were reasonably priced, responsive and super helpful. Fast forward to the end of this summer and our house has been completely transformed. New extension, external insulation, windows, roof, render, solar, battery storage and lots more. What about the heatpump? Well, our initial impressions were great. Plenty of hot water (heated overnight on a cheap tariff). Through October into November and we’re impressed that every room in the house is consistently warm. Now that the weather is colder (-1 last week), the heatpump quietly (think fridge noise level) just gets on with the job of providing lovely consistent heating. What about the cost? We have 2 electric cars and now the whole house is electric (gas disconnected, saving £300+ a year), September and October’s bills were less than £100 and that includes charging 2 cars! Would we recommend ERE? Absolutely!! Steve Brealey, Meols
