We used KG Electrical recently to replace some ageing storage heaters in a flat. Kyle came over and gave us some excellent advice as to the most efficient and cost effective way forward. We have used KG electrical over many years on a huge array of electrical projects both in residential and commercial properties. From small works over a few hours, to complete refurbishments and fixed wiring testing and remedial works, we have only ever found the company to be very professional, honest, helpful and good at what they do. I have dealt with a large amount of electrical contractors on projects over the years and KG would definitely be one of our go-to preferred contractors now, and I would have no issue recommending them.

KG electrical installed a humidistat fan in our bathroom where we had been having a condensation problem. Kyle Gamble rapidly assessed the job and provided a list of works and quote. Gabby was very helpful and efficient scheduling the job which was carried out extremely competently, exactly as specified, by Luke, leaving the site clean and tidy for making good and re-tiling. We are very satisfied with the installation and are happy to recommend this excellent local company.

We were very happy with K G Electrical, there was a lot of work in our new house which needed to be done (light switch relocations, new wall sockets). The work was done professionally and after the work was done they cleaned the house. In our initial quote we made some changes in the last minute which they were able to do but after some more communication it resulted in one more day of work. Overall it was great that they were open to change the quote to accommodate our last minute changes. (It was a little bit of confusion about this as the engineer on site didn't know about this but in the end it ended up good!) Luke was leading the work and we were very happy with his work. He always explained everything and understood all our (complicated) requirement.

We used KGEC to install an electrical humidistat fan in the kitchen which was a requirement for us to get cavity wall insulation with another company. The layout of the kitchen is tricky but Kyle was able to suggest a good solution for running the power cable to where we wanted the airvent which meant not having to replace tiles or take off kitchen cabinets. Callum and his colleague arrived to fit the air vent and did it quickly and professionally. We underestimated how dusty the work would be though and in hindsight would have put down more dust sheets before they arrived if we had known. All in all I would definitely use the company again for any electrical needs.

I used KG electrical recently to install spotlights in a bedroom. I also asked them to replace a light in a separate bedroom as a small side job. When they arrived I hadn’t chosen the new light so told them not to worry about it. A week later they called to say they were in the area and offered to pop in and fit the light for no additional charge. Professional, tidy and very responsive. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them KG Electrical again.

I had my circuit board and some lights fitted, the engineers where very knowledgeable, quick and tided up after themselves, the price I paid was reasonable.

Kyle from KG Electrical came round to fit an outside plug, a light outside and a light fitting inside the house. I was really impressed with his professional attitude, knowledge and experience. Once he was finished he tidied up any mess and I was really impressed by the lovely neat finish. I highly recommend Kyle over the other electricians I have used in St Albans - great value and a service that you can trust.

I have recently used the services of KGEC Ltd on two occasions and on both have been very impressed by the prompt and helpful response by their Operations Manager. All of the engineers who attended were very polite, carried out the work efficiently and to a very good standard. In light of the current pandemic they wore appropriate PPE and kept to a safe distance. I will definitely use their service again.

DEFINITELY DO NOT USE THIS FIRM… At least until after the defamation hearing has been decided First off I am by no stretch of the imagination a qualified electrician however the more I think about what happened the more I realise I was ripped off. So I’d decided to redecorate the guest room and turn it in to a cinema room. Part of the plan was to switch over the lighting to modern led setup and install some new plug sockets. Not a lot to ask I thought. I picked what I thought was a reputable established firm. How wrong I was. The rest of this review had to be deleted due to a character limit Google set. I understand that copies of the original review can still be found using things like the internet time machine if you're that interested. In any event read the addendums. ADDENDUM After posting the above review of Kyle Gamble Electrical Contractors I was very surprised to receive a letter from solicitors instructed by Mr Gamble threatening me with legal action. As Mr Gamble likes pictures I have decided to post pictures of this letter. Now you may take a different view but I am not minded to do business with any firm that thinks it’s a good idea to threaten their customers with legal action. For the avoidance of doubt I stand completely behind my original review. I would also say that I am now quite sure that Mr Gamble has lied in his response to my Google review e.g. the carpenter cut the electrical cable. I have also decided to post pictures of their full terms and conditions. I can’t help noticing that he seems to take an awful lot of liberties and seemingly gives no additional protection to his customers in return. For example 7.1 if you pop out to the shops and the electricians come round to a locked house you owe them money for doing no work. Now I agree what constitutes a reasonable contract term is a subjective question but I would advise any prospective customer to carefully look over all of the terms and conditions before agreeing to anything. In my own opinion I would say that these terms are wholly unfair and I notice none of the other electricians I’ve used seemed to need them. The actual work that was done, in my opinion, was rather shoddy. You can look at the pictures and make your own mind up. To reiterate I do not like liars, by this I mean Mr Gamble has quite clearly lied, and I do not like being insulted. So I would say definitely do not use this firm. At least until after the defamation hearing, which Mr Gambles solicitors so kindly suggested, has been resolved. Mr Gamble likes to clarify things well he can clarify to his hearts content in court. As Mr Gamble is in his own words professional, reliable and honest I eagerly await his response. FURTHER ADDENDUM Google, probably quite sensibly, won't let me add pictures of documents to my review. Still KG Electrical did definitely threaten me with legal claim for defamation. Mr Gamble did definitely lie. I would say definitely avoid. ADDENDUM AFTER POLICE VISIT ON 24/1/21 I was very surprised to be awoken on the morning of 24th January 2021 by the police telling me that Mr Gamble had made a complaint saying that I had been harassing him. Mr Gamble has alleged that as I sent a substantial number of emails, (before posting the above addendum) offering to take no further action if he would give me a refund and take down his response to my review, this amounted to harassment. There was a rather terse exchange between myself and the police and I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to the police officers involved as I may have been rather abrupt with them. Also I should really have offered them some tea I mean it was snowing and they were just doing their job. So in addition to his lies, solicitors letters and sloppy workmanship Mr Gamble is of the opinion that it’s okay to call the police on a paying customer. So to repeat. DEFINITELY DO NOT USE THIS FIRM UNTIL WE’VE GOT TO THE BOTTOM OF EVERYTHING AT THE DEFAMATION HEARING WHICH MR GAMBLE’S SOLICITORS SO KINDLY SUGGESTED.

I have worked with the team at KG Electrical for over five years. They have completed a multitude of projects on my home over the years. All completed to a very high standard, on time and on budget. In the rare occasion where there are issues they always come back quickly. Always available for general advice and work alongside other highly skilled tradespeople. Gabby, the Operations Manager is so efficient and runs a very tight ship! You won't be disappointed if you work with these guys.

A huge thank you to Kyle and the team at K G Electrical Contractors. We recently had a full rewire to our house and from the outset Kyle and the team delivered an exceptional service. From Kyle's initial visit where he took the time to almost design the rewire with us and use his experience to suggest where things should go/how things should look, to Gabby project managing the overall job and Andy leading the 2 week rewire from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble even when the team encountered more complex areas to fix that initially expected. Kyle and the team always kept us up to date and informed of any changes to the approach and you got the feeling the they approved the project as if it were their own house they were making changes to. So much so that despite a full rewire being disruptive to a house (and from googling general images and watching YouTube channels I was dreading what we were coming home to) the disruption to the house was minimal and is more than livable until we decide to redecorate each room. Kyle and the team are, prompt, reliable and very friendly and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and will certainly use again for any future works we carry out. A very happy customer! Thank you.

Very good service - Kyle was very helpful during the quotation process in suggesting different ways of doing the work and then in providing quotes accordingly so that I could chose which route to go down. Andy then did the work for us and was extremely polite, professional and helpful. Work completed to a high standard and very pleased in having chosen them.

KG Electrical have helped me twice so far. The first time was an electric oven disconnection and reconnect a new one. Done very quickly and professionally. The second job was a full electrical check of a house I recently bought. They turned up with 2 electricians and systematically went around the whole house a number of times checking all of the electrics. I was amazed at how diligent they were and how they could find all of the ‘quirks’ that an older house and its electrics can have. Both electricians were professional but also friendly and happily took the time to explain what they were doing and what they had found along the way, which is all then written into a full report. They both worked a full day in my property and I was very happy with the work and the time they took. All for an agreed up front, fixed price. I will be using them again in the future.

Amazing service, extremely professional and trustworthy. We recently had some work done in our new house. We were walked through each stage of the job and everything was explained openly and honestly. The level of work completed was superb, its worth noting that other contractors working in the house commented on how well it had been done as well as the high standard of the work. Very tidy and respectful of the house. We live in London, where there are an abundance of electrical contractors, but KG electrical Contractors made it easy for us to decide. We would recommend them every time and have plans to get them back for further work in the future.

I was very impressed with KG Electrical. Their contractor turned up bang on time, was friendly, and did the work (replacing bathroom lights) quickly, without issue. He left my bathroom tidier than it had been when he arrived! KG Electrical have conducted an electrical installation condition report for us recently, and we have been very happy with the service provided. They have been incredibly helpful answering all of our questions and explaining the findings of the report to us, so we understand the issues and how they need to be rectified.

We've engaged KG twice already to inspect electrical installation ahead of a property purchase and couldn't have been happier - quick turnaround times, professional, courteous and always going the extra mile to help us understand what's what. We'll definitely be back.

So impressed with everything. From estimate to completion they were super professional. The job took a full day and the electrician completed the work as if it was his own home, taking extra time to make it look great. This is posted under my mother's name. Did a job last year for me, and they walked off it mid way through, trying to blame the builder. Sadly my house flooded (not their fault it was a random event) and the ceiling came down in one of the rooms they had worked in. The insurance people were shocked that the rewire job they had done was poor - wires had been disconnected, not removed and not taped up. Shocking. In my opinion, he had majorly expanded last year and not kept his eye on who he was letting work for him. No doubt he will reply rudely to this! PS thanks for your reply, the flood happened after you walked off, and Kyle, it was definitely your firm and work!!! You were extremely rude to me!!

Took £2500 from me to do some work, including some electrical , Have been asking him, since March 2016 for a quote, and written estimate, also asking for receipt for my money...NOTHING!!!, always lots of lies and excuses, He has left me no choice but to inform trading standards and Inland Revenue, We have now employed a wonderful man and his team, really getting on with the work I have only given 1 star, as had to give something, to be able to post this warning !!

As part of our garden makeover this year our garden designer Matt Doherty of Beeline Garden Services recommended that you would make a great company to use to bring a touch of brilliance to our new garden. He was absolutely correct. You worked closely with Matt to ensure that the wiring was all hidden and in place before the garden itself was completed and then put together a beautifully installed system that is absolutely fantastic. The effect of the lighting is stunning and we can’t wait for the weather to improve so that we can spend more evenings in the garden.
