5 stars simply isn’t enough – we’d give IJD Electrical more if we could. Ian (and Robin) have been absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We first contacted Ian – having used his services in the past for commercial work – to carry out an Electrical Installation Condition Report on our new house. Within minutes he’d spotted major issues and recommended a full rewire. We did get a couple of other quotes, but none of the other electricians inspired the same confidence. Ian’s approach is methodical, meticulous, and he was incredibly respectful of our home, which mattered all the more as we were living in the property while all the work was being carried out. Ian stayed late on several occasions to make sure everything was done properly. My dad always says, “If you’re going to do a job, do it properly,” and Ian absolutely is 100% the embodiment of that. Finding a good tradesperson can be a minefield. All you really want is someone reliable, fair and honest who will do a great job and make it work. Ian went above and beyond in every aspect. I wouldn’t even consider using another electrician: he’s genuinely the best of the best – years of knowledge and experience, quality fittings and wiring, all done right the first time. Ultimately, you get what you pay for, and IJD Electrical have been worth every single penny a million times over.
Brilliant service, really friendly and knowledgeable. Ian was so efficient and also tidy and made loads of effort to keep the area as clean as possible and with minimal disruption. He also gave really clear explanations of what was needed so we knew what to expect. We had people over also digging for the move of some electric metres and he ended up coordinating some of their work because he was clearly the most experienced person there which was really helpful. Would highly recommend.
Ian did a great job, informing and reassuring us about everything he was doing upfront. He responded to emails promptly, too; did his own plastering after rewiring our house and left everything in a tidy condition.
Brilliant service! Ian fitted us an extra plug socket in our hallway. Very neat and tidy and even matched it to our existing sockets. Would definitely recommend.
Ian, Tom and Robin did a lovely job of rewiring my house. Despite it being full of "stuff" they shuffled it round and managed to do it very neatly with minimal dust and subsequent decorating, most chasing etc filled to a paint over finish. I had dreaded the upheaval so chose to stay with friends to give them uninterrupted space but once moved back in there was a minimum of tidying and redecorating to do. Throughout they did their best to liaise and adjust placement of sockets lights etc. All in all, although not the cheapest quote I was happy to see the care they took and the attention to detail they displayed. Thanks guys, a great job.

Ian and Tom did a fantastic and thorough job rewiring our house with minimal disruption and neat plastering. Punctual and meticulous every step of the way. Wired in smoke detector system and modern security system installed at the same time making it an all round good professional job. Would highly recommend.
We can’t recommend Ian highly enough. He completed the full rewire of our 4 bedroom semi on time and at the quoted price. The installation was with ‘minimal damage’ and the clever way that unforeseen issues were resolved was great. We had previously had quotes from others that were too high and some that were inadequate. Ian explained everything very carefully when he came to quote, made great suggestions and filled us with confidence – a value for money quote. Ian together with Tom are a fantastic team – respectful, caring and communicative.
Ian was really helpful answering our many first-time renovator questions and plans for reshuffling electrics and rooms. Very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to help us deal with some bad work we'd had done previously (by another electrician).
