Current Control Electrical

Excellent service. Quick/responsive communication. Reasonably priced (good value for money) and also very kind and professiona. I used CCE for several jobs and always pleased with the service (unilke couple of others i initialaly tried when i first moved to the area!). Highly recommended.

We had an electrical issue late on a Friday night. Simon was with us very quickly and went above and beyond to fix our issue, and did so with a smile; despite the unsociable hour. I cannot recommend Current Control Electrical enough.

Simon was friendly, professional and worked really quickly. He fitted two new light fittings in my kitchen and did a great job. Everything was done neatly and efficiently, and I’m really pleased with the result. Would definitely recommend!

Really happy with the work done. Swapped over an electric fireplace unit for us and made sure everything was fitted properly and working perfectly. Friendly, professional, reliable - definitely recommend.

Simon has recently done a range of jobs at my property including installing additional & up-to-date sockets, fitting an electric mirror & toothbrush charger in the bathroom & installing a light switch for the loft lighting. He did a brilliant job of everything - I'm particularly impressed with the neatness of the toothbrush charger as he inserted it into the bathroom cupboard & it's not taking up space on the open worktop. He is always very friendly & professional & leaves the place nice & tidy afterwards!

Simon was professional, reliable, punctual and friendly. Very helpful with our queries and provided all work required in a timely manner. Highly recommend!

Simon done a fantastic job and would recommend anytime

I would highly recommend Simon for any electrical work you might need. He has completed a couple of jobs for me now (various light fittings, inside and outside sockets etc.) and his work is excellent. He is very friendly and communication is great, and he is happy to explain things and offer advice. Brilliant service and very professional company!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would highly recommend Simon at Current Control Electrics Exeter. He recently carried out electrical work for my garden cabin, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Simon was always on time, professional, and friendly. The work was completed to a really high standard and everything was left neat and tidy afterwards, which made a big difference. His prices were also very competitive, especially considering the quality of the work and the excellent service provided. If you’re looking for a reliable, professional electrician in Exeter, I would definitely recommend Simon and Current Control Electrics. Great job from start to finish!

Brilliant work by Simon. Fixed our bathroom light quickly and easily. Friendly and a fair price. Many Thanks

We contacted Simon as the electrics in our day nursery in Exeter needed checking and updating. He spent the time going over every area, including the multiple fuse boxes throughout the setting, and created a report that we could understand. Simon was thorough and happy to explain things further before quoting for the work that needed doing. He has put in many hours and we completely trust that he doesn't compromise on safety. We also know that we can call Simon anytime.

We got in touch with Simon to do some electrical work around the house we’ve just moved into. He responded to my query quickly, came out the next day to look at the house and give us a quote, and then was able to come out the following week to do the work. We were incredibly happy with the quality of work and the service from Simon, and he will be our go to electrician going forward.

Have just used Simon for the first time and will always use him from now on , friendly , knowlegeable electrician he carried out his work perfectly without any fuss, if I say he was brilliant that’s all you need to know.

100% recommend for a friendly, professional and good value service. A lot of electricians will not come out for a small job which is very frustrating, but Simon slotted us in very quickly and did a great job.

A fantastic, reliable electrician in Exeter/Cranbrook. Responded within a few hours. Service charges are the most reasonable around. Simon was polite, efficient and professional - he will be my go to electrician now!

Communication was excellent and so we knew when he was coming to us and it was all fast. Simon is an excellent electrician as it was a difficult position where we needed our electric socket. This was the best experience of a tradesman we have ever had.

Simon fitted an EV charging station at my home recently, he is very professional at his work and i was happy with the installation. His prices are very reasonable too. Would very much so recommend.

We have used Simon since we moved to Exeter 2 years ago and he has always provided an excellent service , and is always friendly, professional and focused. He has completed a number of different jobs for us , such as our outdoor cabin electrics, hot tub installation, garage electrical refit, security system install plus various of other odd jobs around the house. These are always completed to the highest quality and at a fair price. Would highly recommend Current Control Electrical.

Simon is an excellent electrician and an absolute gent. We've had him in for a few jobs now at our place in Exeter and always delivers. He has installed more plug sockets in a few rooms, rewired some lights, sorted a dual-fuel towel rail and a couple of other jobs. The fact he used to be a plumber has also come in handy a few times as he has that knowledge to combine with his sparky trade. Highly recommend for any electrical work required.

Simon from Current Control professionally completed fitting electrics and lighting to my garden shed, (guinea pig hotel), in Exeter. Very quick response for an estimate and job started within a few days. Very pleased with the work done, and would happily reccomend Simon. 5*

I've used Simon several times now and he is always my go-to for any electrical work. Most recently Simon carried out some light changes, installed a timer on my boiler, and fitted lighting in my loft, all completed to a very high standard. Simon is incredibly friendly, personable, and a really nice person to have around. Communication was excellent from start to finish, keeping me updated throughout and making everything straightforward and stress-free which is amazing as my brain always runs a mile a minute!! The quality of work is always fantastic, prices are very reasonable, and nothing ever seems too much trouble. He is always prepared to listen to any ideas I may have and will give an honest opinion about what is or isn't achievable and what's worth having done. As someone based in Exeter, it's great to have a reliable electrician I can trust and recommend with confidence. I would highly recommend Simonto anyone looking for a professional, trustworthy electrician. I'll definitely be using him again in the future for any and all work I might need.

Simon from Current Control Electrical in Exeter is a really good and reliable electrician. We hired him to do electrical work in the house. We found him to be a very friendly person, and more importantly for us, he did the installations and wiring quickly. He is committed to doing the job right first time and we have already recommend him to other people in the Exeter area. We know we can rely on him and would happily have him back whenever we need anymore rewiring and other electrical jobs.

Simon was friendly and professional when fitting a new fuse board and circuit for our hob. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Excellent service from Simon. He kept me in the loop throughout with clear communication. He worked hard and efficiently. His charges were reasonable, he bothered to tidy up after he had finished and the entire process was very smooth. I would have no hesitation in receommending him as an electrician.

Contacted Simon regarding faulty Bedroom ceiling lights (one hadn't worked for many years and the other one recently stopped working), emailed Current Control Electrical and received a quote (and at a reasonable price) and once agreed - an appointment. Simon arrived promptly and was happy to chat while he worked. We have other Electrical jobs that we'd like to have done in the near future and Simon was happy to discuss these with us. Want a reliable, friendly Electrician - would definitely recommend Simon.

Brilliant workmanship, very professional but also friendly. Definitely recommend Simon to anyone needing electrical work.

Thanks Simon for great work in rewiring my kitchen and updating my circuit board. Friendly and professional service at a fair price for quality work. Definitely recommend!

Personable, professional and reliable. Simon did a great job for us recently and at a price we thought very reasonable. Highly recommended.

I recently had an EV charger installed at my home, and Simon delivered an exceptional service from start to finish. He arrived on time, carried out a thorough assessment, and clearly explained the best installation options before getting to work. I originally planned to buy a different charger model, but Simon took the time to walk me through the pros and cons and recommended a setup that suited my home far better. I’m really glad I followed his advice. The quality of his workmanship is excellent. The cabling is neat, the charger is perfectly positioned, and the whole installation looks clean and professional. Simon also tested everything thoroughly and made sure I understood how to use the charger before he left.

We recently contacted Simon Clarke of Current Control Electrical to enquire about an electrical job we needed doing, namely changing old style 12v bathroom lights working / not working through a transformer to modern LED lights working on mains electricity and also replacing a faulty in-line extractor fan hidden in the bathroom ceiling. Simon responded to my message very promptly, was helpful in his response and clear about his charges and that efficiency, approach and clear communication was then reflected throughout the time that he worked with us on the job. We found Simon to be a delightful contractor to work with - he was pleasant, helpful and clearly very competent. Whilst working with us on the bathroom job, Simon also diagnosed the likely reason for the fault on an electrical door access / intercom issue we were having trouble with. Simon's willingness to take a look at it has avoided the need for us to call out a specialist contractor whose charges with VAT would almost certainly have been considerably more. We will be happy to continue working with Simon and would not hesitate to recommend him for electrical work. Simon's wife Katie is also clearly an important part of the team which adds to the efficiency of the business as a whole. Thank you very much to both of you for your help.

Fantastic service from Simon! I reached out after an issue with my electric shower and although I confirmed I wasn't expecting an urgent visit he arrived the same day. Simon quickly diagnosed the issue, and carried out the work to a really high standard. Professional, friendly, and clearly very knowledgeable. Would happily use again and highly recommend.

Simon fitted a new consumer unit and extractor fans in our annex recently. He was able to diagnose a fault very quickly and professionally, quote us for the work at a reasonable price and then within a few days come back to fix the issue. Simon is experienced, professional and reliable, and we would not hesitate to recommend him.

Great service. Friendly efficient and professional. Thank you Simon

Excellent from start to finish. Simon installed several new plug sockets and changed a single drop light to a double drop light. He was very polite and friendly. Work was clean and tidy. He checked everything and gave me certificates to confirm work carried out. Even a fault with my system did not put him off. He took slightly longer than he expected because of this but his costs didn't deviate. He kept me updated re his start time and was very knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend to anyone. Was a pleasure doing business with him. Many thanks 😊.

Excellent service. Booked for a quote on the same day. 30 minutes later and the job was completed!! Thank you. Will be booking again !!

Simon came to our home sort out some Electrical issues. He was very friendly and polite, helpful. We recommend Simon in future. Many thanks Simon

Can’t recommend Simon enough. He’s honest , genuine and reasonably priced. His work was to a high standard and I will return for any further electrical work I need doing

Simon did a terrific job sorting the electricals in our house and getting various remedial work fixed. He was friendly, communicative and professional. He made sure the whole job was done quickly and to a high standard. We felt secure that he was giving us a good deal at the best quality. He was also very good with our dog who really liked him which is always a good sign.

Simon has sorted out all sorts of lighting issues for us - lights on our drive, kitchen under-cupboard lighting, old bathroom pull switch - and all done witin the quotation. The additional thing you get it that Simon has 'charm'! Not every 'sparks' has that, I know. We're delighted with his work for us.

Cannot recommend Simon enough. An honest person with integrity who showed up on time and stuck to the price he quoted me. In less than 2 hours the job was done.

Very happy with the work undertaken by Current Control Electrical. Simon was very easy to talk to, listening & understanding what work needed to be done. (3 x outside lights, 2 x extra plugs in garage, under cupboard lights in kitchen & sorted out a heater in airing cupbard) He was very efficient, with a quote arriving promptly and a date arranged to suit my calender. The work was carried out methodically and thoughtfully, leaving no mess to clean up!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and will certainly use again!

We cannot recommend Simon enough! ⚡️ In need of an electrician unexpectedly, we found him recommended on our local FB group and now we know why! He came over the same day to fix our shower isolation switch, doing so with great workmanship, good value and also just a really nice guy. In addition, he discovered a tripping issue with our 20+yr old fuse board (which we had no idea of and could have led to a house fire…) and so on identifying the safety issue we further booked him in to resolve that, to which he did equally promptly and installed just as well. He cannot do enough to help and we would absolutely recommend him to anyone in Exeter who needs an electrician 🙂

Brilliant - Simon arrived as arranged, went above and beyond, nothing was to much trouble. I would highly recommend. Thank you

Simon did a great job replacing our faulty bathroom spotlights and installing a new extractor fan and isolation switch. As well as getting the job done he also showed outstanding customer service. We highly recommend him.

We knew Simon in Exeter but we recently moved to Chard, we contacted him to see if he would come to us here, this wasn't a problem for him. He came to view the work we needed doing one day, after looking at the Eicr inspection report we sent him. He sent a quote within the week, which was alot cheaper than out local electrians. He arrived on the day we agreed and on time, work was carried out very professionally and answered any questions we asked him, and also did additional work on the day. Simon is a very friendly person who knows his job, and happy to give out any advice to help. Further more on the words of our 4 year old Granddaughter who met Simon that day for the first time, he came has a stranger but left as a friend. Thank you, we will be recommending you to all our friends Flo /Pete

Thoroughly Reliable and trustworthy service .Very quick to respond to my enquiry. Simon arrived exactly when he said he would and I was extremely happy with the work he did. He actually noticed a potential future problem with my fuse box and tested everything to give me peace of mind. I would highly recommend his business and will definitely be choosing him for any further electrical issues I have.

went very smoothly. Simon is personable and a good comunicator , carried out the work effitiantly and worked around us, listening to our needs and keeping us informed. Also turned up bang on time -always a bonus.

We had our Pond Pump recently replaced and must say that Simon, of Current Control did an excellent job. He was very quick and extremely efficient (and a thoroughly lovely, polite young man too).

I messaged Simon to come and wire up our cooker in our new property, he fitted us in asap he came when he said, very nice chap, it was all done in half hour very professional, especially as he had to manoeuvre around boxes to get to fuse box. Would highly recommend, good price too.

We've used Simon for a couple of jobs now. Most recently preparing the electrics for a new kitchen fit and connecing up the oven and hob. His work is great quality and he always goes above and beyond. We definitely recommend and will be using again in the furture if we need any electrical work doing.

Simon was fantastic, dealt with our issues very quickly and upon identifying more, promptly solved these. He’s friendly and professional.

My partner found Simon through a social media post. He quoted me for 2 jobs. My cooker hob needed replacing and he came within a week of the quote and replaced it. He came yesterday and supplied power to an outbuilding in my garden. He has made my dream come true. I now have the space to follow my passion. Simon is hardworking, knowledgeable and most of all trustworthy. He came and worked a long day, priced the job well and it was honestly a pleasure to be in his company. Looking forward one day to that game. You're welcome anytime 👍

Mr. Simon from Current Control Electrical. Very professional electrician and very friendly and as well as a knowledgeable person. I am really happy about his service, and I won't think twice to talk to him again for his wonderful service. Highly recommended.

Simon is friendly, very reliable, quick to respond to messages. He came and fitted a socket and a light for us and his work is excellent. Would recommend him for sure.

I was recommended Simon via a local forum so he was unknown to me when I asked for a quote. He is a very friendly, knowledgeable person who quoted a very reasonable amount for the work (hanging 2 lights). He came on his day off to do the work (Saturday) and got my mums lights fitted in quicktime. She was very impressed with the workmanship, but equally found him a very nice person to chat with. She and I both highly recommend Simon for any electrical work. We will both be using his services in the future.

Very impressed with the work Simon did at my house very reliable and trustworthy. Very friendly nothing is to much trouble would definitely recommend to friends and family for any electrical work that’s needs to be done.

Simon has done a few bits of work for us now including a safety check of our electrical system and following that a complete re-wire of an out building. We have been very impressed with all aspects of his work, communication, timeliness and tidiness. We have recommended him to friends and colleagues as a result.

Simon was able to come out and do a quote for us quickly. He was prompt, very friendly and we had great communication throughout. The quote was emailed to us on the same day so we went ahead and booked him in. We had some switches and light fixtures changed and a repair on a faulty socket. The work was carried out swiftly and to a high standard. Most importantly Simon was very friendly, professional and we felt comfortable with him in the house whilst the work was done. Would highly recommend and planning on contacting Simon again when we get our kitchen refitted!

Excellent service, highly recommended

Very good service and accommodating to changes. Would happily use Simon again.

Simon is brilliant! Reliable, knowledgeable, professional and all round great work. Always happy to recommend 😊

Simon did some electrical work for us. He was thorough and efficient. We can recommend his work. Nice guy too.

Simon came at short notice to replace a burnt out socket. He was professional and thorough, and did extra checks (without charging extra) to make sure the house was safe (the socket was burnt by an appliance, but I was on edge). Very reasonable price. Thoroughly recommend.

Simon was brilliant! Really quick response to my initial enquiry and so helpful with our questions regarding the work. Everything was completed to a high standard and the rooms he worked in left pretty much spotless. Definitely recommend and we wouldn’t hesitate is using him again. Thanks Simon!

Great service, knowledgeable and thorough. Prices are very fair, Simon is very responsive to requests and jobs are done with great accuracy and attention to detail. Even with unconventional requests for products he's never seen before! Recessed infrared heating panel? No issue. Japanese toilet seat? Why not!

Brilliant! I asked Simon to fix a bathroom light which had an intermittent fault. He was able to source the issue and rectify the problem with ease. I will be using Current Control as my goto electrician from now on. Very confident with his work, and has the knowledge and capabilities to show this. Top service, top electrician. Thanks Simon.
