I rarely leave negative reviews, especially a very low one, but unfortunately my experience has been extremely disappointing with the company and the owner Marjus Merja. I instructed him to carry out an EICR inspection and PAT and took his advice to replace RCBO/RCD. He insisted full payment upfront and promised to provide the reports and invoice the same evening. However, after the works: * My wife and I experienced significant communication issues that repeated phone calls, text messages and email went unanswered; * He replied very occasionally and promised to send the documents, which never happened until two weeks later when a formal complaint letter was sent by email. Despite receiving the EICR, the address was incorrect. We had to go through the chasing game all over again. * More concerningly, the day after the RCBO/RCD replacement works were completed, 6 out of 9 dimmable LED bulbs in my living room failed simultaneously, despite working normally beforehand. I raised this concern with him and requested clarification and investigation, but again received no response. * At the time of writing this review, we have not been provided with the invoice, updated EICR certificate, or PAT certificate, as well as scheduling an investigation of the dimmable bulbs, despite multiple requests. At this stage, my main concern is not only the quality of communication and aftercare, but also the safety of his electrical works. I have no more hope that he will keep to his promise. A formal complaint will be shortly sent to relevant governing bodies.

They coordinated directly with builders on site, which meant the project ran smoothly without us needing to manage different trades. The work itself was well organised, tidy, and finished on time. Everything was fully tested, certified and left working exactly as expected. Max and his colleagues have provided us with an excellent service at our Community Centre. Fuss free, friendly, competent and working sensitively with users of our busy Centre. Work has involved replacing old lighting with LED lighting throughtout the Centre and various jobs improving, replacing updating light sensors, switches, timers etc.

I can't fault M and M Electrical Services. I chose them based on the positive reviews online and they certainly lived up to them. From first contact - a query about whether they could replace my thermostat - to completion of the job (including them sourcing the new thermostat for me) was a matter of a couple of days. Communication was speedy and really professional, providing an online quote which was agreed before work began. The price was very reasonable and my new thermostat works perfectly! It's really reassuring to now have the details of an electrician that I know I can rely on for the future and I would certainly recommend them to others based on the experience I've had.

The thing about electricians - in common with plumbers and car mechanics - is the fact that they can, if they wish, diagnose a problem as being far more serious than it is. When Max came to visit me last week, I fully expected him to tell me that the electrical connection from my house to my office in the garden had failed, maybe due to recent flooding, or whatever. I thought it was going to be a big and difficult job. Instead, within fifteen minutes, he had diagnosed a fault in an extension lead, which had been playing havoc with everything. He also performed whatever magic was necessary re the electricity supply to get my internet back up and running. What was so wonderful is the fact that he seemed as delighted as I was that the problem was solved, quickly and completely. On top of which, he told me I still had a little time in hand, and what else might need looking at or checking? This man is no 'ordinary' electrician. He's a perfectionist and it's clear he gets a real kick out of fixing things.

Max responded quickly to communications, completed the work at the agreed time and was very polite and tidy in his work. Max preformed electrical inspection and EICR testing to my 2 rental flats in Eastbourne. He had great communication as I live abroad so we went above and beyond arranging times and prices with myself and the tenant. I’d highly recommend m and m electrical to others.

Very professional and tidy work installing a replacement consumer unit in garage, installing a new extractor fan with isolator switch in bathroom together with new electrics for a shower pump. Replaced an extractor fan in cloakroom. Extremely pleased with the standard of work and the subsequent checks to ensure everything was OK. They were very pleasant and carried out the work very efficiently. Would highly recommend them and would certainly use again in the future.

We certainly recommend M and M electrical services. We were pleased with their work as well as Max’s work ethics and customer care approach. He did our kitchen and garden lights. We had a minor problem, we called him to rectify the issue. Max returned on the next day to rectify. (This problem was not related to work completed) Max was too happy to put it right, unlike other local electricians who are too busy to return your calls. What can I say about Max May except that he is just about the best Electrician I have ever come across. He is always on time, always reliable, has a friendly, professional approach, listens to what you want or what the problems are and fixes everything. He knows his stuff. He and his super Assistant, Aaron came to my home to run some new electrical sockets that I needed in different rooms - including the bathroom for a new smart loo which was being installed. They also installed five new ceiling lights. They came back to check the smart loo as it wasn't working - nothing to do with the new wiring or socket and Max discovered the fault with the item within it's own wiring although I didn't want him to fix it as I wanted to return the product. He even offered to write me a report about the faulty item which was so helpful as I was having trouble with the seller. Aaron meanwhile very kindly put some legs on a sofa that had just been delivered that I couldn't manage - what a team! Two brilliant electricians and two lovely young men to boot. HIGHLY recommended.
