Fantastic service from start to finish - 5 stars. We had a heat pump and solar panels installed by IMS heat pumps in July 2026. Our first contact with Jeremy to quote and discuss what was best was great, he was really helpful and the price for both systems was extremely competitive. Mark and Luke both carried out detailed site visits for the solar and heat pump systems, again really knowledgeable and helpful and both helped find the right locations for the different bits of the systems. Christian and Toby fitted the heat pump and were absolutely first class, explained everything clearly, were friendly, funny and polite and the quality was fantastic. All the back office team were incredibly helpful too with queries and arrangements for visits. Cannot fault them and would highly recommend IMS to anyone.
I write literally as Christian has left our house having just completed the installation and commissioning of a Grant Areola air source heat pump. He also educated me on the installation, the formidable controller and mobile app. To a person starting with Dave Richards, who undertook the scoping visit and provided us with quotes for 2 ASHPs. Then Luke Bigley’s more detailed site visit continued the highly professional and expert theme that seems to be the company’s SOP Anthony Leathwood corresponded with us in a timely manner. Then the gang of five arrived led by Christian, Toby, the two Lewises and Callum. What a remarkable team of talented, professional, trustworthy and good spirited individuals they were. Their work was of the highest calibre. They were tidy, communicative with an excellent sense of humour. The installation went without a hitch, on time and on budget. What a breath of fresh air. To a person they are a tribute to your company and you should be immensely proud of them. We will be recommending your company to anybody who will listen!
I chose IMS Heat Pumps Ltd for the recent installation of an ASHP and I've been delighted by the quality of the service from the company throughout the journey and the quality and performance of the install. As a customer, I've found the company to be exemplary throughout: - They were very quick to pick up on my initial enquiry and very happy to schedule calls to discuss and answer my initial questions. - When it came to the design, they were very happy to talk through various options and to include some elements I was keen to include so that we were both happy with the final bespoke design rather than it being a simple "off the shelf" solution. - A pre-install site visit provided another opportunity to talk through the various elements of the install, what the installation process would entail and to identify some challenges in advance and the solutions. - The installation team were excellent and it was great to witness both their professionalism and to appreciate the care and attention to detail and the quality of the final product. Ultimately, I'm absolutely delighted with the heating system which is performing brilliantly and wouldn't hesitate to recommend IMS Heat Pumps Ltd to anyone looking to switch to a heat pump.
I’d like to say a massive thank you to Sim from IMS Heat Pumps for going above and beyond to help me figure out if a heat pump would be right for my project. Instead of just trying to sell me the product, he took the time to walk me through the pros, cons, and realities tailored for my specific (and complicated!) retrofit. Brilliant customer service- no pressure tactics, just technical design-led support. If you want someone who knows their stuff who you can trust, I would definitely recommend IMS.
Following a recommendation for IMS Heat Pumps, we have had a great experience with them. The design & quote for our heat pump went very smoothly, with all our requests taken into consideration, nothing was too difficult to be done. The installers Christian, Bill and their team were very efficient & friendly and did an excellent, neat job. We had a small issue which the team responded to very quickly and sorted out effectively, giving peace of mind. We're very happy we went with IMS.
Excellent firm. They have been in this business for a very long time and they know what they are doing. Customer service is brilliant - they looked after our old heat pump for years and when it finally reached the end of its life (after 18 years) they bent over backwards to get us a new one installed in time for Christmas. Back office team is hugely efficient, always get a quick response. Engineers are highly knowledgeable, very considerate and polite, and clearly take a pride in their work. I recommend IMS very highly indeed.
I had high hopes but it's been terrible. ASHP constantly has water flow errors and stops working. IMS recommended water compensation setting even though thermostat needs internet (fails if no internet, why?!). Their communications is also terrible, phones not picked up, voicemail not replied, emails unanswered. 3 months since switched on and nothing's improved.
Very neat and tidy installation with no issues. Brad worked well with my builder and the other tradesman to make sure the heat pump and UFH were all fitted and working well.
Lewis from IMS very quickly identified the problem and solved it, including liaising with head office to make sure they were aware of what had been found. Friendly, tidy and polite. Will use again when the service is due.
Very professional company who gave friendly patient service throughout a long refurbishment project with long delays. Luke and then David gave lots of helpful advice. Excellent communication and very efficient installation process with tidy workings.
We have had a long journey with IMS to choose and have installed a Valliant heat pump to our new build. They have been great to work with, all questions, no matter how trivial, have been patiently and professionally answered. Their response times have been brilliant. Dave has visited to tweak the settings now that we have been living with them for a couple of weeks. He explained everything in layman’s terms ensuring we had understood. Dave’s friendly and knowledgeable approach has given us confidence to achieve the right settings for our home with the assurance that ongoing support is only a phone call away.
Fantastic service from start to finish Very prompt service from Lee who did the design & quote for our heat pump. Had good communication with Charlotte who coordinated the ordering and delivery of all our equipment. We were very satisfied with our installers Ben and Charlie who were very efficient & polite young men who did everything that we asked with no problem! We would definitely recommend!!!

IMS Heat Pumps (formerly Coefficient Renewable Heat Solutions) installed a ground source heat pump system at our 1820s house in Castle Donington near Derby as part of a major renovation project in 2012/13. The system is excellent, and combined with high levels of thermal insulation and the installation of solar panels our property is now very environmentally friendly. They now undertake regular servicing for us and we know that they will help should we have questions or any problem. A great team!
IMS and their predecessors installed and now maintain two ground-source systems on our property: one for a holiday cottage we run, and one for our main house. I believe the holiday cottage system was the first they installed. For many years since, we've had trouble-free central heating and water heating in both properties. Our bills (we had all-electric heating before) have reduced markedly, though they're still substantial. We've hardly ever needed to call IMS out, but on one occasional when we did, they attended promptly and fixed the problem. They service out systems regularly. We are more than satisfied - in fact delighted - with both the systems, and with IMS's after-sales attention. Matthew Parris
