The original estimate was completely itemised, which was good. The work was for new wiring for our utility room with sockets and new lights, replacing the old fuse box and testing. We were advised final invoice could be more or less than estimate. Pleasantly surprised that it was just under. The work carried out was neat and everything explained afterwards. Definitely recommend and we will be going back to them in future.

I live in an old property that presents its own additional challenges – (e.g. with routing of cables). (2025) This is our second experience using Positive Electrics and we are again very pleased with the quality of the work. We recently purchased a house and had all sockets and switches replaced as well as new sockets installing and the work was neat and professional. We have been using Positive Electrics for about ten years, and over that period have seen the firm “grow” . They are a very competent , well organised set up. The electricians are very polite, caring , and knowledgeable. At the completion of the work , they always clean their work area. Only this week we required a couple of extra double- sockets in our lounge, this was quite an urgent request. Made late morning. James organised the work to be carried out that same afternoon , completed by two very competent electricians . We are always highly satisfied with Positive Electrics., and would certainly recommend them if you need any electrical work undertaking .

Your guys arrived on time and set to upgrading our 26 year old fuse box and testing that all sockets and light fittings were safe. This is no small task in a family home, but your guys were on it, discovering sockets behind cupboards, in the loft, and under the stairs that I'd forgotten existed! All the work was completed within the timescale agreed, and with minimal disruption to my working day. And to top it all off, there wasn't a speck of dust left to show after the guys had tidied up. We were nervous about using a firm found online, (it didn't work for us last time) and since our previous electrician retired , one of our old (35years) storage heaters also retired ! We were so pleased to find James and his team. He helped us decide on a replacement, explaining very patiently all the options, provided quotes, and gave a date. Two pleasant young gentlemen duly arrived, and completed the job . No mess, no fuss. They explained how the new equipment worked ( easy really) and removed all their rubbish. Nothing left behind. Simples. What a pleasant experience !

Very happy with Positive Electrics. James was very helpful on the phone, estimate provided within 2 hours (which was very close to final invoice) and very happy with the work carried out. I had some old light fittings swapped out for new, a dimmer switch replaced and some down lights put in. I provided a key and it was all sorted whilst I was at work. Will use Positive Electrics in the future.

James came out quickly after enquiring to give a quote for quite a bit of work including a new consumer unit, additional plug sockets and moving light fittings, he then organized for it to be carried out a few days later, the guys were really nice and completed all the work to a high standard- highly recommend!

This is the second time I have used Positive Electrics. This time I asked them to upgrade the lights in my kitchen, loft and outside to LEDs and motion activated where appropriate . James was very good an advising me about light levels - tone and brightness - which was helpful as I grew up with 40, 60 and 100w bulbs. He also advised me about replacing my burglar alarm and 2 old extractor fans in bathroom areas. The estimates were clearly laid out and I understood exactly what work was being done and roughly how long it would take. The team ( 2 electricians and a mate) that came to do the work were fantastic. I was working from home that day with a heavy schedule and they were very careful in planning their work so it didn’t disrupt mine. They were a pleasure to have in the house, very polite and friendly and they explained how all the new kit worked especially the burglar alarm. Before leaving they made sure I was happy and they tidied everything up and hoovered. I strongly recommend them.

Positive Electrics came out to do an electrical installation condition report for us and they were absolutely brilliant. During the inspection, they came across an issue with our lighting, which they came back and investigated further and fixed for us. When technical issues meant we couldn't access the document we needed, James made sure we got it in time for our house move. 10/10!

Great job done! We needed to update and properly network our fire alarms for our holiday cottage. It's an old, listed building (eighteenth century), so it needed planning properly. They planned it out in advance, were timely, and made sure to tidy up after themselves. Really pleased with the result, and would recommend without hesitation!

Can’t recommend this company enough. After having an urgent electrical fault and calling many electricians James was the only one who got back to me instantly. Arranged a visit the next day. I was kept up to date by the engineers when they were running slightly late. Everyone was very polite and professional. Very very thorough and explained everything to me fully. Definitely went above and beyond to check everything was safe, even did things like put the side of my bath back on and my son’s bike away after I’d moved it for boiler access. Such a fantastic, professional company and pleased with the reasonable price too. Will definitely be a number to keep for the future!

James and his team are top quality! They did wiring in most rooms, putting new lights on, new switches and new sockets on with new hobs in the kitchen. They communicated effectively with me, with their works they are doing. The lads are really good at what they do. James has been responsive and his customer service is great. I don't normally write reviews but thought this deserved one. I had an issue with a ligh socket that had blow and tripped all power to lights etc. The gentleman that came out was brilliant! Well mannered and took the time to explain what went wrong and how he fixed the issue whilst installing the new fitting we had just brought. I also called the guys who again were superb over the phone and gave me an ETA as requested when the electrician would be with me. Positive Electrics supplied and fitted a TCP doorbell/answering system. They recommended the system and I am really pleased with it. I can answer the door remotely, by speaking through my phone when I am not in and view who is at my door via the motion activated camera. The sound and picture quality is great. I've heard that the big names like the 'Nest' doorbell charge a monthly subscription fee, no charges for the TCP product or the associated app. I'm going to add some TCP wifi light bulbs to my home now as I've been really impressed. Positive Electrics team as tidy, considerate and professional as ever, I don't hesitate to recommend their team to anyone looking for an electrician.

Rang for immediate advice and help. He came within 20 mins helped get the electric back on and gave good advice for a new fuse box upgrade which we will be having them to do in the next few weeks. Great response time friendly and good price.
