Great service and really professional company

We seriously needed to overhaul our CH system after over 45 years in situ. Phil and Ben, at R and P Gibbs, understood our requirements perfectly. Five radiator replacements, new filter and circulating pump. Gavin worked exceptionally hard to restore our aged "industrial" system. We are now ready for winter. John Broxbourne.

I’ve been using R&P Gibbs for about 20 years, from supplying our first bathroom, maintaining our boiler and the odd repair here and there. Sometimes we are tempted to fix things ourselves. We spent a few hours messing about trying to fix and then replace a tap this week - definitely beyond our skill set. R&P Gibbs sent us a plumber at a time that suited us and fitted the new tap in minutes! No matter who arrives to help, they are always friendly, knowledgeable and impressively quick! It’s so handy having such a reliable team to call on when we need something.

Popped in this morning ( Saturday, July 2025 ) for some advice about a shower head and the man on the desk was very helpful and explained it all to me . Will definitely go there first next time I need anything. All the parts I needed were in stock and we'll priced . And great and polite service .

They replaced my mother’s bath with a walk in shower. They were competitive price wise, very helpful and cleared up everything before leaving at the end of the day. They prioritised due to my mother’s age, nothing was too much trouble and the bathroom looks great

Recommended by two people. My bathroom needed remodelling and that is exactly what they did. Credit where credits is due they have done a blinding job. Ryan and Max were professional and are definitely a credit to RP Gibbs. Very very pleased. I will certainly recommend RP Gibbs for bathroom jobs, shame they don’t install kitchens!! I had a number of pending maintenance issues in the house that had not been addressed since the pandemic. Then tried R&P Gibbs contacting Phil. I have found him thoroughly professional, unlike my experience in the past with some other local tradespeople. He has been prompt in responding to the various queries I raised and his team have dealt with the plumbing and electrical problems I had, in a very satisfactory manner. All done sticking to the agreed appointment times, to a great standard and at a reasonable price. I was a little apprehensive when I first approached the company not being sure what to expect, but those concerns turned out to be misplaced. I would recommend them without hesitation and would gladly continue using them.

Woke up to no power, turned out our fuse had completely burnt out. With husband away I didn’t know what to do. Called RPGibbs and within a few hours my power had been restored. Can’t thank Ben @ RPGibbs enough for Sorting out this issue so swiftly. Would highly recommend this company.

We had new spotlights in front room and on the landing fitted ,new switches new plastering all done to a excellent standard , guys was all professional tidy and on. Time. Really great job so pleased

Good service, and the stuff you would need for any quick plumbing job. Used them 5 times within 3 days and they had what i needed each time.

Phil and the team have responded quickly to a number of emergencies for electrics and plumbing, as we have been working on our house renovation project. The quality of work from everyone in the team has been excellent, and we feel very valued knowing they will do everything they can to get out to us quickly. Ben on the electrics side is also really friendly and knowledgable. We get three quotes for all big jobs and R&P Gibbs always come out as the best option. Would definitely recommend.

I phoned at 1230 on New Year’s Eve with a problem with my elderly mother’s boiler- she had no hot water or heating and the service I got from Gibbs was absolutely amazing. They had fixed the problem by 1530 and I could relax knowing my mother had heat ant hot water for the New Year Bank Holidays. There are not many firms that would do this at such short notice. Very good service. Highly pleased.

Do not use - Quoted me £60.00 per hour, on site for 56 Minutes, invoiced me for 2½hours - £150.00. After proving how long their plumber was on site Ben very ungraciously reduced labour to £75.00 - 75 minutes! Do not confuse them with Cheshunt Bathroom Centre who have supplied me with over £3500.00 of bathroom equipment, John & Ian both giving excellent service and value for money.

My recently bereaved sister urgently needed a replacement hot tank and immersion heater as hers was leaking. I spoke with Philip Gibbs who was very understanding and kindly arranged to compete the works the following day which was a great relief to her. The installation was completed quickly and efficiently by a very friendly plumber and almost immediately he had finished an equally friendly electrician arrived to connect the immersion heater. A local Firm with old fashioned values - a real find who I can highly recommend.

Fantastic service. Looked into my issue and found a product that was suited to exactly what my home system needed. Personal and caring, they explained everything and demonstrated the product once installed. Very happy and trustworthy company, this is definitely a number you want saved on your phone!

I recently needed some work doing in my new flat and came across R&P Gibbs Ltd. I was provided with some really good advice and guidance and the service received was outstanding. Over the past couple of years I have had a lot of work carried out by R&ao Gibbs ranging from new boiler and central heating system completely refurbished bathroom and more recently electrical work - light fitting , doorbell additional sockets etc. The work is always carried out to a high standard and the workers always polite and helpful. When the bathroom and heating system work was carried out I went away and left them to it completely honest reliable and trustworthy. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this company to anyone.

Needed the O rings changed on my kitchen mixer tap which was leaking. Young man in there asked me to bring it in. He took the old ones off for me and fitted the new ones. Charged me £1. Tap doesn't leak anymore. Absolutely brilliant!

Helpful and friendly service - Been having trouble with my toilet running on and had a couple of plumbers have a look and unable to solve the problem - feeling frustrated decided to youtube it and have a go myself and was able to take out the cistern and pop it into the store so that I would get the right bit and the helpful guy on the counter had the bit I needed but suggested I just try changing the washer first - did this and all working perfectly now - thank you very much :)

I'm not usually one for leaving reviews, but I was blown away with the level of service these guys provided today! I rang them for a central heating pump as my elderly farthers had packed up & left him with no heating... The guy on the phone said they were about to shut for they're Christmas party in 5 minutes & realising I couldn't make it in time, happily agreed to bring us all the parts we might require with a money back guaranty if we didn't need them, and actually had them at our door within 15 minutes! I thought old fashioned customer service like this was long gone, but obviously not. Thanks again

Friendly, Professional and Helpful staff. Fitted multiple security systems/alarms for myself and extended family - would recommend to anybody.

I strongly recommend you don't use this company, very very expensive, they don't explain the costs upfront, & will hit you with a ridiculous price. Use somebody else, anyone but these.
