MB Electrical

I contacted a couple of electricians for a quote to replace an ancient fuse box in a house I was just buying. MB Electrical was a fraction more expensive, but was the only one to understand without explanation that I hadn't yet moved in and therefore couldn't send a picture yet as I hadn't thought to photograph the fusebox on viewing. Plus he had other excellent reviews. Anyway, very glad I went with Michael as due to some unusual wiring choices there were significant complications potentially leaving us without power to a lot of vital things. Not only was Michael willing to consider any solution to make sure we had it set up safely enough not to catch fire etc, he stuck with the original quote despite all the extra work involved which probably saved me a few hundred pounds. Before he found a solution he was willing to come back before working hours the next day to make sure we had access to essentials as soon as possible. He was also happy to answer any of my inane questions throughout the process. You can tell he is honest and genuinely cares about the customer and the job, which is the best anyone can ask for and why I highly recommend going with him.

Michael came swiftly to fix my lights / switches even though only a small job. He checked the work to be done and confirmed it was just the dimmer switches to be changed which kept the cost lower. He was very friendly and did a great job. I would highly recommend Michael and he will definitely be my 'go to' electrician.

Excellent service - Michael was quick, professional and did a great job - thank you!

Michael really helped us out today, was happy to help try to diagnose our issue over the phone to avoid a callout, but still came to us within the hour. Was refreshingly upfront about pricing and generally a really friendly guy. He explained everything in detail and made sure we were happy and comfortable with everything going on. He diagnosed our issue and and fixed as much as possible on the day, leaving us with practical advice on remedial works with no pressure. Responsive, really friendly, would highly recommended and wouldn't hesitate to call on him again.

Micheal was brilliant, professional and kind - would highly recommend!

Michael was excellent. He helped me a lot just over the phone really early one morning. He then turned up at the correct time and immediately solved the problem. He was absolutely great and I highly recommend him.

Highly competent and a pleasure to have around.

Super quick & efficient

Sorted out a problem with shower switch. Good communication about when arriving. Will happily use again.

Really pleased with level of service and attention to detail after asking Michael to complete EICR . 5 stars

Mike was brilliant to work with: polite, quick and with good communication. We'll definitely be calling him for any future electrical needs. Thank you!

Michael did excellent work for us moving / replacing ceiling lights. He was helpful, professional and provided perfect service.

I needed some untidy wiring replaced. Michael was able to take on the job at short notice and even worked on a Saturday when it was convenient for me. He clearly explained what he was going to do, got on with the job with no fuss and cleared up any mess. When he finished he let me know that I could contact him if I had any problems. Happy to recommend.

Michael was fantastic, booked us in quickly after our oven electrics blew. Fixed the issue straight away and explained what had happened. Will definitely use again in future.

Fantastic service and fault finding. Sorted our issue efficiently and safely.

Had two new garage LED batten lights fitted by Michael over the weekend. He was very professional, tidy and communicated very well. Really happy with the service and we will be getting MB back for any future electrician jobs. 10/10.

Michael was very professional, thorough and reliable. Communication with him was excellent and he made very useful suggestions throughout. It was a big job and we trusted him totally. We would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.

Professional, prompt and courteous - well done! Would highly recommend.

To be honest, Michael restored my faith in the trades. He pretty much re-wired my victorian terrace and his work has been excellent from start to finish. He's always been friendly, professional and trustworthy and while not a budget option (never a good idea in my experience), is 100% worth his weight in gold for piece of mind.

Professional, friendly and thorough - diagnosed and fixed the issue quickly, then was happy to chat around the subject for my own understanding

Michael was able to come round at short notice and provided clear and practical advice on the different options to solve the problem we had. Would definitely use again.

Michael was quick to respond to my request for a quote and provided an excellent standard of service. He takes great pride in his work, and I highly recommend him. Thanks Michael!

Michael did a great job installing a heater in bathroom and a double socket in the garage. He was friendly and professional and we are very happy with the work completed. Highly recommend him and would contact again for any future electrical work. Thank you!

After I managed to break our bathroom fan I contacted MB Electrical and spoke to Michael. As promised, he fitted us in at short notice and came equipped with the necessary unit plus a double socket that we wanted to have replaced - he is super organised and worked from photos that I sent rather than wasting time (and money!) coming to assess what was required. I can't praise Michael highly enough; he is friendly, professional, tidy, punctual, and generally very helpful all round! I'll be keeping his number on speed dial for any future electrical jobs and can definitely recommend him to anyone who needs the services of a consummate professional electrician.

Highly recommended. Quick to respond/help, efficient, friendly and good value- very helpful.

Michael is a very friendly, efficient and professional electrician, who arrived on time, explained what he was going to do and charged a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend him and use him again.

Michael took his time with his work and that says a lot as he takes pride in good workmanship rather than rushing a job and having poor quality work. I will definitely be using him again for other projects around the house.

Michael is excellent, I won’t be using anyone else in future! He is fair, reasonable and works quickly.

We used Michael today who was very professional, on time and trustworthy. He fixed the issue within one hour and was clear in explaining the work he had done. We will definitely use again.

Michael, did an amazing job. Very easy to communicate, explains well and reliable person and turned up on time. Also gave a really good price. Highly recommended. Naren

Michael did a great job installing some new sockets in my house. Tidy work, good value and clear communication. I would highly recommend him.

Thoroughly recommend Michael - a competitive quote, gave good advice on the options and took time to explain the issues. Also very friendly! Will use again when needed. Thank you Michael!

Michael at MB Electrical was very friendly, professional and patient. I would certainly recommend him to friends.

It was a pleasure having Michael in our home to complete some work. We are renovating and had a couple of quotes prior to Michael who advised us on some unnecessary elements which would have been at great cost to us. Michael was honest and professional in his quote, he advised us of the exact materials needed providing us with multiple options and laid out the price of these straight away. We are extremely pleased with the finished work Michael has carried out, which included wiring up a garden room and adding extra sockets throughout our property. You can tell he takes pride in his work and it's a bonus that he is such a friendly individual! We will definitely be recommending MB Electrical to others!

Michael is a very friendly, honest and professional electrician. He was very prompt in responding to my initial query. We urgently needed some repair work carried out. Michael was able to fit us in quickly to ensure our project stayed on track. Michael offered his advice & provided solutions to all the issues we were facing. The work was carried out to a high standard & Michael ensured everything was left clean & tidy. I would definitely recommend using Michael.

Micheal fixed an electrical fault for us on socket and carried out a full EIC. He was very professional and carried out work thoroughly and to a high standard. He was also friendly and shared what he was doing, why and some basics about the electrics in our house which I really appreciated. I'd highly recommend his work.

What a fantastic electrician - prompt, professional, communicative, great value - and fully NICEIC accredited. Having used various trades over the years, Michael stands out for his calm and comprehensive professionalism. We had a faulty socket which could have been serious. Michael was able to come out promptly, identify and fix the issue with minimum fuss, then comprehensively check and test our circuit for additional peace of mind. Michael provided his service for a fixed call out cost, which was half the price of some competitors. Highly recommend!

As seems to be the case with a number of tradespeople these days, Michael had very poor communication after the initial consultation. What was odd with MB was after ignoring my first request for a date they phoned on the morning of that date apologising for their emails not sending. Fine I thought, thanks for phoning and we'll book you in once we've spoken to the gas people. Sent a text message later that day to confirm a date (naively believing the email issue was real) ... Radio silence. Perhaps MB have a problem with their phone network too. If you don't want to do a job just say, don't just ghost customers.

We had given Michael the horrible task of rewiring a historical mess in the entrance of our Victorian terrace. Michael was very professional, completed the work in good time, and was clean and tidy. He is really approachable and friendly - no task was too small! Will definitely use again!

Michael did a fabulous job and is very professional, trustworthy as well as neat and tidy. I would definitely use him again - and in fact have more work for him to do. Highly recommended.

Michael was really friendly and helpful when he took down some light fittings in my flat. Fit me in at short notice, really knew his stuff and and was very careful to look after my flat. Will be asking him to come and put them back up in my new place soon!

Looking to book an electrician for an EICR test. Have not had the test yet but Michael from MB Electrical could not have been more helpful, giving honest and really helpful advice and just an all round lovely, knowledgable chap over the phone.

We wanted some external power to our garden, as well as some rewiring of our garage. Michael was very responsive to our request for a quotation, and he was highly professional. His works was excellent, clean, and well organised at a very reasonable price. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a electrician in the Bristol area and we will definitely us him again.

MB Electrical gave me a first class service in every way and I could not recommend them enough.

RCD tripped and no lights, just as preparing for a job interview, very stressful! Michael was brilliant. On the phone he talked me through checking the board while listening to my questions and answering clearly, really helpful (& surprisingly rare). Giving an exact time of arrival was impossible given it was an emergency call out, but he kept me updated and got here asap. Michael clearly explained the process of checking for the problem, then got on and sorted it quickly and efficiently. Absolute no hesitation in recommending Michael, and will definitely be using him again.

Did the job quickly and professionally. Very happy. Thank you!

Amazing service, professional job, also a very lovely guy.

great service and professionalism, highly rated, Michael was a pleasure to deal from start to finish.

Michael did a EICR certificate for us, super fast appointment and extremely kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Great electrician, very professional and very high quality communication. Recommended!

Michael fitted us in extremely promptly, was on time and had a lovely friendly & kind energy about him. We will definitely be getting in contact for any future work.

Michael responded very quickly to an emergency call out to fix my electric boiler. Despite this being slightly outside of his remit, he responded and arrived very quickly and successfully fixed the issue. His general knowledge of other trades is also really high so he was willing to give other things a go afterwards. He was the fourth tradesman that attempted the repair as I had previously used two electricians and a plumber/heating engineer from bigger companies and he was the only one who successfully fixed the issue. Highly recommended.

Really quick at responding and had the job done before other trades even replied to our messages asking for a quote. Great work, polite and informative and would definitely use again - thanks so much!

Michael was punctual, helpful and considerate; explaining the issues as he encountered and then fixed them. 10/10 would recommend.

Michael was responsive, polite, professional and prompt. Moved things around to get power back on for us really quickly explaining things in a clear and understandable way. Thoroughly reccomend.

I almost don’t want to share a review on how great Michael is. He is, without doubt, the best electrian I have ever used. If you are looking for electrical work I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him. Just please don’t book him when I need his help!!

A very pleasant and responsible young man. New to Bristol and keen to build up his reputation. Recommended.

I would definitely recommend Michael. He provided a swift, friendly and professional service - he also ensured that I had the correct bulbs and switch to install our new dimmer light before arriving, which was great. Very happy with the job done, at a reasonable price too.

I had an electrical emergency one evening, called Michael in the morning and he was round the same day. I'd spoken to other electricians, 2 were too busy to come for a week, another came to quote for the job but couldn't complete for 5 days. Michael's rate excellent, and he rearranged some work to get me switched back on within 24hrs. He is very experienced with older properties and doesn't try to push work that's not needed. Very professional and leaves the site clean and tidy. I will be recomending him to friends and family.

I was very impressed with Michael who was very pleasant and helpful and completed the required work competently and tidily. His charges are also very fair and competitive. I very rarely give recommendations but in this case I am happy to recommend MB Electrical and will be contacting Michael again if I need an electrician in future.

I cannot recommend MB Electricians highly enough, we had a switch that kept tripping the oven and Michael came round after work the next day to have a look. He was polite, knowleagable and made sure everything was spotless after he finished. He even made sure the replacement switch matched the one next to it. He was clear in his communication of times and was so friendly and easy to have in the house. The price was more than fair, definitely saving these contact details for future use!

Great service. Was able to come over at quite short notice and get the job done. A percentage is donated to NHS charities too!

Thanks for your help!

Absolutely brilliant electrician. Very professional and experienced, kept us updated throughout the work with fair prices. We would definitely go back to Michael first for all our electrical work.

Honest and trustworthy. Strongly recommend.

Michael was so helpful with our weirdly wired lighting! He was punctual, friendly and was able to find the best possible way to install our electric mirror without causing too much work for the plasterer. Would highly recommend!

Michael installed 4 new mains outlets in our kitchen. He worked quickly and efficiently, and also re-plastered the area, AND CLEANED UP THE MESS, making sure there was no dust/dirt/rubbish for me to worry about. Thank you very much, Michael.

Really friendly guy. Responded quickly to my inquiries, great service, absolutely no complaints with Michael Would definitely use him again

I know absolutely nothing about electrics for my house, so it was great for Michael to explain everything in ‘laymen’s terms’ so I can understand where my issues where, rather than just coming along and fixing the circuits and leaving in my old house, he explained in full what the issues and where they were. Just a small job but 100% will use again, thank you!

Top man cheers

Fit a larger circuit breaker to fuse board and installed additional cabling for new kitchen refit. Worked efficiently and cleanly. Would definitely recommend 👌

Michael was fantastic for what we needed. Quick replies and work. Professional work. Would highly recommend to anyone in the local area.

I found Mike to be very professional and reliable; he completed his work to a very high standard and we were very pleased with the finished job. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him!

Great service from Michael, very professional and completed on time. Very happy!
