Drain Doctor Southampton

I called Drain Doctor at about 4.30pm as I needed my toilet unblocked asap and by 5.30pm they had been and completely sorted everything! It was a great service, really quick, easy and no fuss at all. Definitely recommend!

Had a blocked drain causing garden drains to overflow with foul water. Called Drain Doctor for help and they sent Jordan, who was great. He explained everything very clearly, showed me the issue on CCTV and advised (with no pressure) an in-place liner repair to the drain which would prevent a recurrence. He did the work, showing me the result on the CCTV, and thoroughly cleaned and tested the drains afterward. Very friendly, professional and capable. Would recommend for anyone needing similar work.

Jordan was super professional and found the blockage of decorative stone and sand left from the seller of the property! He tidied up and left everything better than before. Would have him back in a heartbeat. Thankyou very much

Jordan came out to fix a blockage in the toilet. He fully explained what he was going to do, and then afterwards what the problem had been. Came home today to find out my sister had payed 270 pound for a pipe to be replaced in her bathroom . She was told by the plumber that the pipe was a really expensive part and that's why it cost so much. Having looked on line the part is about 4 pound and he was there about 15 minutes. What a JOKE don't use lease rip-off merchant's. They are just out to take advantage of people

Drain Doctor responded quickly to a leak in our supply pipe and have made a successful repair. Their employees were cheerful and pleasant and worked hard to resolve our problem.

AMAZING Thank-you Matty, here within 40 minutes to see every home owners nightmare - grey water pouring out the drains and a thick crust of 💩floating just under the inspection cover. I’d tried clearing it myself with rods I’d bought from Screwfix, but sometimes you have to get the professionals in. He is such a nice fella, friendly, disarming and a dab hand with his van full of drain fixing magic. All done, cleared, inspected with cameras and sorted within an hour. Cost today, March ‘23 was £280’ish - that’s not outrageous at all! I had Dyno-rod here 20 years ago for a similar issue and it cost way more back then. This team also can do a ‘clean me pipes’ service where they’ll blast all the fat bergs off your pipe runs, again, for about £280 - worth doing every few years I’d guess. I can’t recommend Drain Doctor enough though - and if Matty turns up, you’ve got an experienced engineer on the job.

Today i had Jules (Julio) round to unblock my kitchen and bathroom sink. He was professional , patient and polite. Unfortunately for jules, my plumbing is absolutely diabolical and a nightmare to clear but he did it in good humour despite it taking him many hours and it being a very frustrating job. Thank you jules, it’s all now working perfectly and I have your patience to thank for that. Have been using this company for years and would definitely recommend to anybody. Pricing is fair and considering their Bournemouth branch has now closed , they traveled a fair distance to help me anyhow. 5 stars! 🌟⭐️

We had a blocked toilet. We phoned and were given a time for the following day. Julio arrived on time and was a lovely polite and industrious young man, a credit to Drain Doctor. There were a few problems which he resolved in a professional manner and cleaned up afterwards. I would recommend this company.

I don’t normally leave negative reviews but as someone who often reads reviews I feel obligated to do so here. I originally chose Drain Doctor to sort out our blocked kitchen sink because of all the positive reviews they have here. At first I tried contacting them via their website form, however didn’t get a response by the next morning so figured their site may not work and called instead. The call handler was very polite and was able to fit us in which was great. Unfortunately the experience with the plumber wasn’t great. Not only was he rude to my partner who was home at the time, but he also only barely unblocked the sink before trying to leave and blamed the issue on the way the pipe work was installed. My partner argued with him to stay and try a bit more, which did significantly improve drainage in the end. Worst of all, we ended up paying £110 more for this service than we did for a similar service a few years back from a different company (an increase of 130%!!!). Save your money and go elsewhere unless you’re really in an emergency and can’t find anyone else. I expect prices have gone up due to the economy but this is a bit ridiculous. At this price I would expect at least good customer service.

dont use if you need a VAT receipt or urgent response, or jet blaster for calcified pipes. they dont follow up on recommended work either

Matt and his team replaced our non-compliant septic tank with a state of the art sewage treatment plant. The service from start to finish was excellent. Matt is a consummate professional, I find it rare these days for anyone to do exactly what they said they would do, when they said they would do it!! These guys against horrendous November weather delivered our project on time, kept us and our neighbours updated and left the area looking better than it was before they started!! I can’t recommend Matt and the team highly enough!! Thank you for a job well done 👏

Although your drainage operative was very efficient & found/fixed the problem - which was a blocked waste pipe leading from the toilet & shower - your initial booking/helpdesk operative was not so good. She booked in my call, took my details (at 2 pm on Monday 30 May) & informed me someone would contact me within the hour !! Just before 5 pm on the same day I phoned back to mention that I hadn't been contacted. The person on the other end new nothing about the first call, & would send out someone within the hour (which he did), with no apology. We are both in our 70s & have been without toilet facilities & showering facilities for several hours (Midday to just after 7pm). Although we we were happy with the operative who fixed the problem - we would be happy to receive some sort of compensation. Roderick & Susan Jack

The engineer was very quick to attend (1hour) and set to to investigate the reason for our sewer blockage. Reasonable quote then set to to work on resolution. Very difficult to establish reason but maintained good attitude and professionalism throughout. After two hours solved our problem and despite time spent cleaned up beautifully. Well done. Would recommend anytime.

Ben arrived on time to clear a blocked toilet. Soon he said there was definitely a blockage between the toilet and the house manhole. After videoing the sewer from the manhole side he said the drain needed unblocking and then a de-scaling. This service was signed for on his mobile tablet. All very easy. Once the sewer was unblocked he again shown me how there were cracked segments of the very old sewer pipes that need to be patched. He also said that the main sewer pipe to the road needed a new lining but would need to schedule this work for a later date. Their office contacted me and we arranged the date over 2 days. Ben arrived did all the work needed and departed after showing me thoroughly all the patches and lining. EXCELLENT SERVICE.! Paid for the work on his mobile terminal and he left a very happy customer….. Drain Doctor is highly recommended.

We had a problem with our drains on the property. The were prompt and efficient - a lovely knowledgeable man great with covid safety too. Really great service, would recommend.

Brett did a great job helping to unblock our drain as well as locating our manhole which had been cover in the past so that we can do a proper drain inspection at a later date.

I have called this company for an emergency drain unblocking. Made the phone call at 12.05 pm and the drain was unblocked by 1.15 pm. Can highly recommend Drain Doctor.

Much was good. Initial phone contact was very professionally managed. Plumber arrived on time and completed the job. My disappointment was that I had more cleaning up to do afterwards than expected. An upside to this was that in doing so I discovered a rubber O ring seal. Knowing one was missing I flushed water through the pipework, U bend and traps under the sink. It was soon very obvious which joint was leaking and I soon fixed it by re-inserting the seal. However if someone else had been left like that they would have had another flood.

Great communication with the lady in charge of the booking. The gentleman who came to solve the problem arrived earlier than expected. He was quick to diagnose the problem and clear with respect to what he was going to do and the costing. The problem was solved in a blink of an eye. Thanks!

Ashley did a 1st class job unblocking our main drain and then removing the many roots that were growing in the pipe. Explained everything and we could see via the camera that the drain was absolutely clear.

My main drain was blocked and within a couple of hours of contacting Drain Doctor Jonathan had arrived to solve the problem. He used a camera to show me the inside of the drain after unblocking it and what might be causing the problem. I would recommend this company for their efficiency, punctuality and customer service.

My drain blockage occurred on Christmas eve and I was having all the family round Christmas day. What a relief to have such a reliable company send an efficent young man round to sort it out. Phew!

Still waiting after over a day now from being told someone will contact you shortly but no contact at all so I guess that the emergency is that important. Wasted all day waiting for this cowboy and still wanting as my insurance used them. First time use them and should be the last time. Job log at 16:40pm on 13/12 and this is now 19:40pm on the 14/12. So not sure where all the 5 stars come from.

Jonathan was spot on. Came quick, got to work quickly, was thorough and friendly and a pleasure to work with. He didn't just unclog the sewer pipe, he also checked multiple points around the property to see if there were other issues. You might reasonably expect somebody who unclogs the unseen, nasty parts of modern life to be a bit grumpy but he was the exact opposite. A real pleasure. Had a big drainage problem today. Drain doctor responded within 35 minutes. Darren provided a great service, friendly, honest and professional. What a lovely guy. Would not hesitate to use them again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Would just like to say that Darren from Drain Doctor came out to unblock our interceptor and done an excellent job. He then located cracks in the waste pipe, which he then proceeded to fix by lining the pipe. I found Darren very polite, professional and very knowledgeable in what he was doing. I would recommend Darren and Drain doctor to any one who has a drain or plumbing problem.
