The work carried out was ok but the guys left the place in a ridiculously great mess with absolutely no effort to tidy up.
This company damp proofed our home in 2020, they left major gaps in the damp proofing which has caused a serious of highly costly visits from various experts. When we have emailed them 5+ times about coming in to review the work (given we have a warranty on the damp proofing) they have been unresponsive and unhelpful. Hoping they will solve this for us but at this point I'm losing hope. Would definitely not recommend this company.
They undertook a basement tanking project on behalf of one of clients and they were first class throughout.
I am not a person to ever write reviews and am on no social media as I am a very private person; but I feel it necessary to share my experience of this company. They visited my property to carry out maintenance of my sump pumps in September this year. They smashed tiles, made a mess and the paved area was left unsafe to walk on. The contact at Wing ( Andrew) refused to take my calls when I initially rang them. They subsequently sent the engineer back and he tried to re lay the tiles but he is not a a professional so it was still unsafe to walk on and the tiles of course remained smashed.. This prevented my gardner from carrying out works in the area so I had to postpone this due to the damage they caused. I emailed this company every week for 2 months. I got my builder to quote to repair the damage and he even explained to Wing why the cost was at the level it was ( tiles bespoke and a special order). But Wing (Andrew) offered no solution . After over 2 months Andrew said he wanted to inspect the area… naturally I refused after all this time, he had opportunity enough to come and see the damage . So I had the area repaired as it was dangerous to access my meters and of course my gardner wanted to finish her work and had waited long enough.The company’s response was I had no right to have the work carried and they would not agree to pay. Never at any point it these past months did they offer a solution. I was the person who offered solutions and I was inconvenienced by their actions. It was me who instigated a resolution not Wing. I paid the difference to them between their invoice and the cost of the repair. They caused me great upset and distress and all I wanted was Wing to pay me for the damage they had caused - nothing else and it took months for them to agree to this . So please think twice before allowing this company into your home or instructing them to carry out any works. Please see the photos of the damage caused.
Following our very negative report (below) we are pleased to be able to report that following the various unsuccessful attempts to repair the leak, Wing has now been able to solve the issue and we are now at the stage of redecoration. We should stress that our apartment is a lower ground floor flat in a building erected around 1850 without any damp proofing so the Wing system is solely responsible for keeping our apartment damp free. In this, other than the previously highlighted issue, Wing has been entirely successful. Wing fitted waterproofing throughout our apartment and after several years a leak appeared in a bedroom. They have been trying to fix this leak for six months during which time the bedroom has been unusable. They claimed that the leak was our responsibility although this was never demonstrated. After the first ‘repair’ we paid them £1,000 as without payment they would not agree to do the work. Since then they have tried to fix it on multiple occasions without success. We are due to fly abroad shortly but with no reply from Wing over the Christmas period we are now forced to cancel our travel plans to prevent widespread flooding when we are away. This is not the service they guaranteed. We are within their 10 year guarantee period but have both paid for a repair that is still not dealt with.
Couldn’t recommend David and his company more highly. Reliable, great standard of work and completely trustworthy.
