Progas are simply a class above when it comes to heating and to solving problems when your heating goes wrong. Unfortunately, I first discovered them after a procession of bad experiences when calling in other companies to diagnose and fix problems to do with my old boiler and central heating system. While others floundered, they thrived. I recently had a very bad leak on my central heating system, but had no idea where on the system it was. I called in two other companies to diagnose and fix the problem. The first company was honest in saying it was beyond their skillset, the second company were complete cowboys, full of BS and ridiculous eye-watering fees for doing nothing I couldn't do myself. Progas were my first port-of-call, but they were booked up, but as a precaution they suggested I pencil in a booking for their first available slot - which was four days after the leak started, just in case I couldn't find a tradesperson able to do the job. After asking a few questions and applying common sense the leak was discovered very, very quickly. Part of my new floor had to come up, but the job was completely deftly, without ruining my floor. No fuss, friendly, reasonably priced and a terrific experience. Progas are simply the best. If you've got to update your boiler or need trustworthy, hard-working people to do a great job then these are the people you should be calling. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Used Progas to service our boiler, really cannot fault the service. As a team of engineers rather than a single person your enquiry gets answered quickly, and an appointment was set just a few days later. Engineer was on time, professional and reassuring, and the service was extremely good value, even cheaper than the quote I had from a self-employed engineer. So happy they’re local too, will definitely use again!

I got in touch with ProGas not for an issue within my flat funnily enough more due to a complaint from another resident and their noise problem. First of all ProGas, free of charge, gave me advice on how to deal with the issues I was having secondly they were reluctant to come round as they felt it was a waste of my money! How great is that, a business who thinks about their client and their needs! I had them come round for a thorough check anyway of the boiler and pipework. They were fair, balanced, honest and professional. £99 for a 30 min check, I’d pay double that if I had to. WORTH. EVERY. PENNY!
Never let me down. Been using Rob and the team for over 20years. They never patronise, always listen, do the job, clean up and this time also set the new timer to the times I had set on the old timer. I confidently leave them alone to complete the work.

Progas are always super professional and transparent. I have found them very trustworthy and even though I've had a bit of a dodgy boiler, they've been really good at being transparent on what is/isn't possible. Always very helpful when I have phoned them and even found me a plumber at Christmas when I had a leak!

Progas were brilliant from start to finish and I’d recommend them to anyone with total confidence. The managing agents at the flat I’d just bought were being especially awkward, but Del and Dan met all their demands and were cheerful about it throughout. Del offered some much needed advice and reassurance, and helped make the process much less daunting for me. When Kyle and his team came to install the boiler, they were quick, polite and tidy, and I’ve been enjoying the benefits of the new boiler ever since. And all this for a really reasonable price. Progas came to fit Hive plus 18 smart radiator valves. They were here all day, worked extremely hard, were knowledgeable and helpful in setting up the system. AND were very reasonably priced, prompt and efficient. Highly recommended all round
I've used Progas since they fitted central heating to my Victorian house in the late '90s. Since then they have serviced and modified the system as the house has been extended, and recently replaced the 16 year old boiler with a new eco model. Always helpful and knowledgeable, and I have recommended them to friends who have been equally happy
Had an emergency with a leak coming through the ceiling. Progas attended very quickly and promptly. They found the leaking pipe joint and repaired it very efficiently and tidied up completely afterwards. Very professional. Highly recommended
They serviced my worcester bosch combi boiler. The engineer who came turned up on time, he was friendly and professional. He serviced the boiler and managed to fix a strange fault that it had, he also offered me advice on how I could save the amount of gas it used. Overall I was very impressed and I will definitely use Progas Heating in the future.

I found this company to be the most honest and best priced of all the quotes I requested. They did not try and force be to buy but advised me and helped me understand. I never felt pressurised. Derek was most helpful in me making a decision. The work carried out was spot on. The workmen were punctual, just got on with the job - didn't stop once - left the place clean. I moved into a new property in August 2018. I researched the market and Progras was the best company I could find that served my local area. The Progras Engineer came and provided a servicing to the boiler for my new property. In October 2018 my radiators were not heating in the upstair bedroom and I had to call a plumber to sort out the issue. He had to uncover the boiler. The amount of dust in the boiler the plumber said no one had done anything to this boiler in years, I took pictures. I contacted Progas next day with the pictures to understand what they had done to my boiler. The Progas director apologies for not cleaning the boiler but said they completed other works which is nonsense given the high level of dust inside the boiler. I told the director I would like to engineer to come back in my presence and perform the service which they refused. As such I paid £90 for someone to come to my home and do nothing! Stay away!
Have used Progas again to install a new Worcester Bosch boiler. Brilliant company you can trust to do a good job. Quick response with professional engineers who took their time to do a really good job. They left the place spotless Got a 10 year warranty as well.
I just wanted to respond to Robert Dew’s reply to my husbands review. The tone of your call was, to me, very aggressive. When my husband phoned you back your colleague even admitted that you had been phoning round for overdue payments that pm and apologised if it was overly harsh. Yes we were late in paying an invoice of approx £100 partly due to having had a baby a few months prior and it slipping down the priority list. Having been a loyal customer and spending a few thousand on more than one boiler we would always have paid. The other reason being there was a noise from the boiler/pipes my husband had emailed about which was as yet unresolved. The reason I paid there and then was because I was made to feel awful for not paying (the small company comment/how can I run a business if people don’t pay was used a lot), and when I got upset the comment I can speak to your husband is just patronising. I really liked using this company, I found them reliable and friendly but this experience left me shaky & guilty for what was a genuine oversight on our part.
Had an old boiler replaced along with new heating pipes and radiators fitted around the house, all done for a good price with minimal mess and disruption by a couple of friendly engineers.
Well what can I say...Such a great service and really helpful people. I had my boiler fitted by these guys and it was a superb service, but better still, in March 2018 when we had an awful snow storm known as the Siberian "Beast from the East" my boiler wouldn't work. The team at Progas were on hand to help, despite getting almost 60 calls a day for over a week, regarding very similar problems. I am also suffering from a broken hand so it was virtually impossible for me to activate any of their advice myself, so within a couple of hours they had an engineer with me at no charge, whom sorted the problem instantly. I couldn't praise these guys enough!!! I was so relieved to have them there for me. I really couldn't recommend them more highly. I've already recommended them to friends whom use their services. Thanks again Progas...keep up the good work. We really appreciate it!
I've used Progas for a couple years for my boiler servicing and they've always been great. However, this morning my boiler stopped working. I called them and the lovely guy at the end of the phone asked what was happening, what I had done so far, and then talked me through fixing it over the phone (the pipe was frozen outside). Great service and lovely people who stopped me freezing on one of the coldest days of the year.
I've been a customer of Progas on and off for past few years, always good service and reasonable pricing. But today they really went above and beyond, helping me fix central heating, free of charge, on their busiest day of the year - along with about 50 others whose outflow pipes had iced up too! They really look after their customers and deserve a medal for calling around to help everyone today!
I can only praise Progas. We had the central heating installed by this company and they were absolutely brilliant. Ever since we have had an annual maintenance contract with them. On the rare occasion, one winter, when the fan went on the boiler, they were absolutely superb. I had to take my elderly mother to the local hospital and after explaining my predicament they came once I had phoned them to say I was on my way home. Now that is a fantastic service for which I shall always be grateful.
Excellent service and top quality work! The job was to fit a whole central heating system: boiler, radiators, all the pipe work, remove the hot and cold water tanks and all the useless pipes. We had no gas in the property (except from the actual meter). Progas first came to establish a quote. They listened to everything I wanted and explained the requirements for fitting the boiler, etc. I very much appreciated their professionalism because I met with several other companies and as a woman, I was often patronised and made to feel uncomfortable (even by the British Gas engineer!). Derek from Progas made sure all my questions and concerns were dealt with and that I was clear on everything. He worked very hard and very patiently with me to make the quote fit in my budget while still matching my requirements. When the engineers came to do the work, they were very professional, respectful of my property and polite. They were always available to answer my questions and checked with me to make sure I was happy with everything. I felt very much at ease with them the whole time. Now the work is complete, I am most happy with the result: everything is nice and neat, radiators are perfectly centered, pipes are hidden away and they made sure I knew how to operate my system before they left. I still ended up forgetting some things so I called (as they had told me to) with a couple more question and I was put through to an engineer who was extremely helpful. I have nothing but praise for this company and I would use them again in a heartbeat as well as recommend them to everyone I know.
Really disappointed with their tone and aftercare communication as they bellowed down the phone to my wife upsetting her as they chased their invoice, which we had refrained from paying, but had emailed them about the noise now occurring after their initial work...! but or course that would be a separate issue. Will take our custom to A.C Wilgar next time who I've heard good things about.
A1 service from start to finish. I didn't think that there were companies like this anymore. The office team were so friendly, efficient and informative. Paul again, was the same and was able to book me and appointment the following day. Rates were competitive and fitting could be carried out almost immediately. Gary, came to fit the boiler was the star of the show, nicest guy, professional, friendly, informative and went over and above.

Having recently purchased a property that was in need of modernising, Progas fitted a brand new central heating system with a combi-boiler. We immediately took to Derek from our first meeting with him and everything has gone very smoothly and the fitting was carried out swiftly and right on schedule. The finished installation is wonderful and the radiators were placed to our exact positions and requirements. We couldn't have been happier with the service they provided and they were very quick to return all correspondence. We recommend Progas very highly and will continue to use their services for the regular serving of the system too.
We had a boiler installed at great expense in summer 2012 under a 5 year warranty from Progas. Within a few months the boiler starts making a loud buzzing noise - after recording this we called out a Progas engineer who came round and saw no cause for this. Nothing was ever followed and we never hear from them again. Fast forward to early 2013, the boiler de-pressurises and water starts pouring out of the bottom on an Sunday evening. We try to re-pressurise and it's impossible to make the connection - the taps at the bottom aren't straight and the hose won't get close to reaching. Call Progas - they're not 24 hour, so we call an emergency plumber. He fixes this, and comments that (a) the installation in his opinion is poor as there was no way the hose could connect and (b) the cost of installation was very high considering the cost of these relatively cheap boilers (a big surprise to us), (c) he said he'd fixed other Progas problems form other people. After we contacted Progas, no one ever game round to inspect the boiler, yet the owner contacted my (then 38 week pregnant) fiance to say there was no way his engineers could have done this. When I called back, more of the same, patronising, defensive, and jumping in every time I try to say something. How could a trained Progas engineer *possibly* get something wrong? Now we'll find out if the manufacturers will sort the buzzing noise (no one ever got in touch the first time it was reported, I pointed this out, he has to "check the records"). Make of this what you will, but if you're going to spend the best part of £2000 on this company, I'd recommend you think twice!
