Darryl has serviced our boiler and installed a new suite in our downstairs toilet. We found him to be very professional, easy to talk to and explained everything he was doing thoroughly. The standard of workmanship is very high and we would without a shadow of doubt, recommend him to all our friends and family. The most important quality I observed was that Darryl was very conscientious about his work and prides himself on doing a good job, which is a rare thing these days.

I have used Darryl (Hughes Heating) twice now, once for a central heating problem and now for a plumbing issue. He has done a great job both times. Arrives exactly at the time he says he will, and gets the job done in a professional and friendly manner. I would definitely recommend him.

Had a cowboy allegedly complete a full service which has led to a number of issues. Darryl has fixed it and charged a very reasonable amount. Hughes Heating (no relation) has also done work to a high standard at a rental property. Can strongly recommend.

We have used Darryl a couple of times, for a gas fire decommission and then to replace an old/worn out bar shower with a new one. Superb service from him, fairly priced, punctual , efficient, friendly and professional, I would not hesitate to get Darryl back for future work and also have peace of mind using a gas safe registered person, we will be using him to service our gas boiler instead of paying British Gas Homecare as they do not do as thorough a service as what Darryl would.

Disappointing . Our boiler had no documented history after we moved in but was in full working order so we requested a full service. Darryl was unable to restart the boiler after completing the work and as result told us we could need to call out the manufacturer at large expense to us just before Christmas as he could not fix it. They told us damage had been caused to numerous parts from getting wet during the service. Darryl refused to accept any responsibility for this.

Very impressed with HUGHES heating LTD. My heating hasn’t been working and I needed a flush of my boiler. Very reliable turned up when said he would, talked through everything he was doing, good price. Very happy thank you so much

I got in touch with Daryl …he contacted me the same day to arrange to connect my cooker , we had been without a cooker for nine weeks , due to our insurance company ….. Our new cooker arrived and was damaged Daryl gave me Excellent advice about it ….. A new cooker was reordered, and I contacted Daryl on Friday the nineteenth of December 2025 ….three days before delivery of our new cooker and Daryl was so efficient, and helpful and kind and worked around the time scale of delivery of new cooker which was the twenty third of December one day before Christmas Eve ….. and literally came out on the same day we are so grateful to him he is a genuinely lovely guy who cares about people.. would definitely recommend to all my family and friends outstanding service .. Daryl replaced my ageing boiler this autumn. I wanted a Veissmann boiler which was installed into my existing system and has run without any issues. He is easily reachable, very good at his job and is reasonably priced. Would highly recommend for any boiler servicing needs.

Have used Hughes Heating a couple of times now to fix some leaking pipework, replace the drain plug upon our shower and to tap off an old gas line to an unused fireplace we removed. Each time the work was completed to a high standard, on time and for no more than the initial competitive quote. Very friendly, knowledgeable and reliable - can not ask for more and would have no problem recommending or using again.

Daryll arrived promptly and completed the service of my boiler efficiently. He gave a detailed account of the boiler condition so I know what may happen in future. He also sends annual service reminders which is helpful. Good price charged for the service! Highly recommended.

Darryl did a great job from start to finish. We wanted to move from gas to electric and wanted a 120L cylinder and a water softener so it can mitigate the hardness of Kent's water. He was prompt with all his quotes and actions. Everything was done in 3 days from removal of the gas central heating, tanks and the remaining radiators to installation of the new cylinder and softener. Highly recommend him, and will keep him updated with how the Monarch Midi HE goes And he made a fast and loyal friend of ours dog Amos 🤣😅

Came across Hughes Heating Ltd, when I had a problem with my boiler back in December 2024. I remember Darryl very well because from the moment he answered my call, he tried to help me out as best as he could over the phone. I have to say that was the first time I had ever experienced someone going the extra mile, and I have used a number of plumbers in the past. Needless to say, Darryl is now my forever plumber now. Just recently had my boiler serviced and again, top class service, throughly explained everything, extremely tidy, professional, reliable and reasonably priced. Well done, and thank you.

As another separate issue arose, we had to get a whole new boiler. Darryl again came round quickly with great advice on what one to go for etc. It was fitted without and issue and the nest thermostats programmed back in too. Darryl Hughes is courteous, punctual and a neat and tidy worker. He did a very good job of sorting out the poor workmanship of the previous plumber who installed my bathroom. The toilet finally works as it should since Darryl replaced some of the pipe work and plumbed it in properly.

Darryl was an absolute star, serviced my old combi boiler and discussed options to replace it as it was over 10 years old. Talked me through various options and payment plans with zero pressure. When i was ready to replace it he sorted everything out disposed of the old one and fitted the new one within a working day at a reasonable price compared to options companies like Homecare had to offer. A man who clearly enjoys his work. Highly recommend!

We asked Darryl to quote us to upgrade all our radiators, but when he came round he noticed they all needed balancing. Doing this has resulted in a much warmer house and saved us thousands. Has installed extra pipework and radiators from an existing system into an extension. Worked well around different stages of the build and has been reliable and professional throughout. Very reasonable prices and now have him back for anual boiler servicing. Would highly recommend.

We have just had Darryl replace a complete central heating system with new combi boiler in a 1960 semi for my father who is 96. Although we moved him out during the installation and left Darryl with keys, when we visited unannounced there was lots going on, all very well managed with surprising minimal mess and disruption. What a great job he has done throughout and his quote was thousands cheaper than British Gas. Excellent job and a friendly honest chap. Thank you Darryl.

We called Darryl having had some bad experiences with plumbers/central heating engineers who had been sent by our insurance company.
