Unfortunatly we had a boiler on its last legs that failed its annual check so a new boiler was adviced by TSL. I could not have asked for better service. Brilliant communication from the office staff and the engineers were on site on time and carried the work out brilliantly. Thank you very much all at TSL.

Can't rate this professional, honest company high enough! They are seriously on top of their game. Recently I thought my 14 year old boiler was leaking and would probably need replacing after numerous talks with other plumbing engineers (due to it's age etc). I also had a leak from my bathroom above the boiler situated in my utility room below. Darren from TSL came round quickly and gave me an honest, competitive quote to replace the boiler if required (no hard sell involved, just common sense advice) he listened to my request to fix the boiler if possible. He sent his engineer Wayne around the next day (lovely, extremely knowledgeable man) who identified my boiler was fine, serviced it and correctly identified the leak above was causing the problem. I had, had a cowboy plumber round the day before who charged me £150 to change a £2 flexi pipe which I found out a few hours later was still leaking afterwards! Wayne identify in 2 seconds it was the frozen hot tap that was causing the leak and had nothing to do with the flexi pipe. He simply tightened the tap which stopped the leak and did not charge me a thing as he was appauled at how I had be taken advantage of. Thank you TSL, nice to know theres still decent reputable people, companies in Newport! I'm currently organising new bath taps installation and now also a new shower with TSL as I trust them implicitly. Highly, highly recommend.

I genuinely cannot recommend this company enough they have gone above and beyond whilst doing work in my home, the level of work Julian especially have produced is phenomenal, I will definitely be using this company again.

Installation of wet room by TSL was faultless from initial site survey to completion of works. They accommodated my last minute changes without fuss. All the trades people (without exception) were polite, considerate and extremely tidy. I highly recommend TSL, the finished product is excellent and will be a life changer for us.

After our discussion with Darren and agreeing with the plan of action for a wet room and an upstairs toilet, everything went as planned. The boys who put the wet room in worked hard and I was surprised and grateful to see how methodically and clean they worked, which made the job a pleasure to see. The plumber (Rhys) was a whirlwind in getting toilets, sinks and a bath all connected, and I was very impressed with how quickly he works. After the installation, came the decorator and we were very happy with the resulting works, however, as with many household tasks there are going to be a few snags, which once Darren knew what they were, he planned the works, and now they are finished we are more than happy with the result. Thank you TSL.

I have recently had a completely new heating system installed by TSL. Graeme & Jay carried out the work & were with me for a week. They were polite, conscientious, extremely knowledgeable & a pleasure to have around. I was nervous when deciding who to have to do the work but I was reasurred about Graeme's expertise & was told he would have no problems whatsoever in carrying out this installation. How true that was! I am so pleased with the standard of this work & it has certainly restored my faith in tradesmen. To complete on time whilst working in those temperatures couldn't have been easy either. Thank you Darren, Graeme, Jay & admin staff for your kindness from start to finish. Without any hesitation the best heating company in the South Wales Area. From the first site visit right through to completion was faultless, clear communication, no hidden extras, carpets all protected, polite and on time as promised. Easy to contact, easy to work with, pricing was clear but plumbing isn't a cheap trade be aware what your paying for. That being said don't feel like I over paid for the job being done and have had no issues with the repair.

We needed a new boiler as an attempt to repair the old one ( by another contractor) failed dismally. Jake was extremely professional, thorough ( he practically replumbed the whole kitchen!), tidy and pleasant. Even the dog liked him. Very satisfied with this company and would definitely recommend it to others.

I use TSL for my boilers to be serviced and they are excellent and thorough . Wayne is the chap that does the serving and he always polite and explains everything clearly to me . Today I had Jake turn up to change a kitchen sink tap and pipes plus bathroom taps and once again an excellent service . Tsl agreed to attend my home to remove a shower seat that was no longer required due to the death of my Mum the gentleman was Lewis he was respectful timely and conversed politely his name was Lewis a credit to the company he worked at. Invoice was arranged via telephone and I was able to pay very effectively and promptly within hours of completion totally happy with the service provided .

Fantastic service today from TSL in what turned out to be a trickier job than anticipated- Calwyn Jones was very professional and patient whilst replacing the taps and waste in the basin and bath in my old house. Even though the job took longer than anticipated he still found time to give me a quote for another job and left the bathroom spotless.

Central heating boiler started to leak . It was very difficult to find,but Wayne came and diagnosed problem. We use TSL for servicing and always find them first-class .When you ring them the people answering the phone are always extremely pleasant and helpful.

TSL supplied and fitted a new central heating boiler (Worcester Bosh) more than happy with the new boiler. The quality of the installation of the boiler and pipe work they had to do was no more than 'Excellent'. I can not thank TSL for the excellent service I received. I would 100% recommend them to friends and family for any plumbing and heating requirements.

Called asking for a quote on a power flush, all my details taken and said I will have a call back once they’ve looked in the diary, had a call back within 2 minutes to say they don’t currently have no availability for weeks I said that’s fine could you just give me a quote please as that’s why I had called to which I was told they wouldn’t be able to provide me with a quote as the price would change between now and when they “could fit me in the diary” in a couple of weeks time. Very unprofessional. Could have just said they are unable to carry out the work to begin with.

Had a emergency with an internal water pipe in the ceiling, Saturday evening on a bank holiday!! TSL promptly answered the phone had a plumber with us within half hour. Within two hours leak found and repaired, excellent service, wouldn't hesitate to contact again.

Used TSL for a boiler service and other bits last year and overall satisfied with the work they had done previously. Last week the wireless receiver on our heating broke and required replacing, so my first thought was to get in touch with TSL again as they did a great job previously. Engineer came out and diagnosed the wireless RF receiver was faulty. He advised that it can be replaced at £100 for the new part, after a quick Google of the part number I could see that these can be purchased for £45......how can you justify a mark up of more than 100%? Additionally, the engineer kept my old wireless thermostat, which was still working and could be sold on to someone else if they wanted to make a bit of extra money. Overall, it was a really disappointing experience, and I felt a bit ripped off by TSL, so will be looking for alternative heating companies for any future work.

Needed to replace my old gas fire with an electric fire for the winter. Was thinking I would need a Gas safe engineer to cap off the gas, electrical engineer to install the fire and a bricklayer to block up the flue outside. Was then thinking I would need to co-ordinate this to ensure this would all be done at the same time! I was recommended TSL who could do all this for me and save me all the hassle. Darren turned up to survey what I needed and advised me the size of the fire I need to purchase prior to their arrival. I was happy with the quote, TSL provided the date and it was such a smooth professional installation I couldn’t have been happier. The engineers attended to remove the old fire. Dust sheets laid prior, temporary blocked off fire whilst the brickys matched up all the bricks. What a great job they did! They then cleaned up all the mess in the fire place, installed new fire and then wiped down the floor afterwards. New fire looks amazing. These are now my go to company. Such a professional and friendly company. Great job and Thank you.

Used this company for the first time as they were "Which" recommended. Appointment set up within 2 days, for a replacement kitchen monobloc tap and repair to a slow filling toilet cistern. Plumber Jake was a nice guy worked efficiently and left no mess. Will be using them in the future for boiler and gas fire annual servicing.

Received my reminder letter about my boiler service and then a follow up phone call (its been so busy teaching online in lockdown!). I was able to book my service on a convenient day the following week. The engineer called 10 mins prior to arrival so we could open the windows and clear the area. The service was carried out securely with the engineer wearing a mask. Paperwork was signed in a socially distanced manner and I called the office to pay over the phone. I received my receipt immediately by email. I will definitely use this company again.

Have just had a new boiler fitted. Very pleased with the service. From the initial quote through to completion of the work we felt the service was excellent.

I have used tsl in the past to install and repair my boiler and have never been disappointed by service, price and expertness of the staff. Today i phoned them at 9 am and explained that my 90 year old mothers boiler had stopped working , at this time of writing we are in a cold snap, they were there by 12 and got it running, so thank you all at tsl. I spoke to my mother later and she was very impressed with the level of service, and as a pensioner was very happy with the bill In 90 years i think she has come across more boiler company's than most of us but this is the one she was most impressed with.

They converted a bathroom in to a wet room for my ageing uncle who can’t walk well. Because of COVID restrictions I couldn’t oversee the work but the company was amazing- very courteous and sensitive to my Uncle. The work was a high standard and done under the time. Brilliant! I wish they worked in my area !

So glad we found this firm. Having moved into our new house, we’ve needed work on plumbing, the WC, the boiler and a gas fire. We’ve also had an emergency call out. Each time we’ve been extremely impressed with the standard of work, the knowledge & politeness of staff (both on the phone & in the home) and all done at a very reasonable price. The gas fire service engineer not only did that job but ensured we were aware of other potential related issues and even advised on the best apps for comparing gas tariffs! Highly recommended!

Copper pipes do not like drills 'up em Mr. Mannering!!'. Plumber in Asda's. Panic?? Plumber here in minutes,hole fixed, heating back on, magic. They return your calls as promised. All round 'good eggs.' Many thanks.

I won't give a one star review as my experience hasn't been terrible but it certainly wasn't great either. I originally enquired to get a gas certificate for a back boiler in a house I had just purchased. The boiler needed several hundred pounds worth of work to make it right so I bit the bullet and quote for a new boiler. The quote was reasonable but we were on a tight timeframe. I was assured that the timeframe would be met. Long story short, it wasn't. Even slightly. When the work overan, it wasn't even booked in for the following day. The finish up work was booked last thing on a Friday when the house needed to be ready to move in on the Saturday. Only one bloke was sent to do the work. They clearly knew it would never be done in time but were happy to take the money. They made an excuse about the chimney pots being ready. That doesn't stop you being able to fill a hole in the fireplace. I had other tradesmen booked who were seriously hampered in their work as TSL had my only set of backdoor keys. Not entirely their fault but then I didn't expect them to disappear for two days instead of finishing the job. To add to the insult, the bloke that came to finish the fireplace covered it over completely and plastered it. This was last thing on a Friday so obviously he couldn't be bothered fitting a vent which I luckily found out is required by law. So they had to go back yet again to complete a very simple job which should have been done right the first time. On a positive note, the boiler fitting was very neat and tidy and they didn't leave a lot of mess so it wasn't all bad. However, I feel they promised on something they simply couldn't deliver on knowing full well it wouldn't be done in time just so they could get the job. They then withheld the Gas Safety Certificate until I had paid in full. My exact phrase to the woman on the phone was 'so you're basically holding me to ransom then?' and her reply was 'ha ha, well er, yeah'. I shall not be using your services again. I suggest you don't either.

Doing a house renovation, TSL fitted new boiler and moved hot water tank, new rads throughout, fitted cloakroom, bathroom and ensuite. They did all tiling (walls and floor), plastering where required etc, etc... their work is first class. I deal with a lot of trades, and whilst we had some minor hiccups (as you can do with any job) all resolved promptly and efficiently. Darren Sturgess (MD) is a pleasure to deal with, and I can't rate highly enough his staff (Graham who was the boiler fitter/plumber, and Julian who did the general building/tiling). Really good customer service from office staff when you call as well. Would highly recommend>

Call our fee of £48 (which I wasn’t told about) just for a guy to assess the work. After that, no quote came. I phoned 4 times to try and get a quote sent to me, as I had no gas, so no hot water or heat, and a toddler in the flat. After pushing, Claire on the phones at TSL quoted £384 for labour as it was a days work, parts would be separate, then, in the same sentence recommended that I should look for another company if I want the work done quickly - disgusting. I eventually found a company on the trust a trader website. A company in Cardiff called ATP Property Services, they gave me a free quote, a fair price within a sensible time frame. The work has been completed and I am happy 5 stars. Keep away from TSL heating and plumbing in Cwmbran.

Called TSL and asked them to come and quote for supply and installation of a new boiler. Agreed a time but Darren turned up very late and said that he didn't want to just install a boiler as he wouldn't make as much money as he wanted - despite me very clearly explaining the job to them before hand! He was quite rude about it & wasted everyone's time.

We have used TSL for many years, for both our residential property and our commercial premises, they have always been reliable and their work is very good. Their pricing is clear and full estimates have always been given. I would strongly recommend using this company.

Having used this company before for a shower install I had no hesitation in giving them my business again. I was provided with a quote for a boiler installation, which i excepted and had it carried out by experienced, and careful gas safe engineers. TSL are quick, professional, tidy, competitively priced, friendly and honest.

We had the moment that all homeowners dread – the boiler failing. Worcester Boiler identified that it was beyond repair and a new one needed to be installed. This resulted in a panic, as it needed to be done urgently and thinking of past experience with plumbers reliability etc., did not set a favourable mood. I spoke to TSL Plumbing first thing in the morning, for the first time (along with a couple of other plumbers) and arrange for them to call that day for a quote. Darren came out late morning, explained what needed to be done and said he would send a quote that afternoon. Whilst he was here, I got him to look at a simple shower refit that we had previously thought about. A couple of hours later I received the emailed quotes (and from the other plumbers). Comparing them, we decided to go ahead with TSL Plumbing and so phoned and booked the work for a couple days’ time. Graeme arrived on the day with a helper and they set to work removing the old boiler from inside and installing a new one outside. It took about a day and a half to complete, but with minimal fuss and inconvenience. The new boiler was connected and working on the first night, to ensure that we had hot water and heating that night. They stayed late, to ensure that it was connected and that we would not be left stranded. A couple of weeks later, we had the shower refitted. Graeme did that as well. Again an excellent job. What stands out is the professionalism of the whole experience and the unexpected extra touches that were done/thought of. The office staff were pleasant to talk to and very helpful and friendly. The chaps that came out and did the work, took great care. They laid down protection to ensure there was no damage to our home, tidied up at night and also when the job was finished. They were very polite and approachable. Having used various other plumbers over the years and being told unreliably by them that they could do the job next week or so and that timescale moving to the following week etc. etc., it was such a breath of fresh air to deal with a company that sets a date and time, and sticks to it. They are definitely a company to put in your list of approved contractors. We will definitely be using them again and recommending them to all.
