I work as an Arboricultural consultant advising clients and looking after their tree stock. In this case we had a large limb fail on a mature Lime as a result of decay. Mark attended site at short notice and booked in an emergency visit within 7 days, the work involved pollarding the tree to reduce the risk to users of the church field. Quality of work was excellent as was the service provided by Mark and his team, can thoroughly recommend as standards required were met.

Used Merritt's twice recently. To prune a large tree and take out tree stumps. Mar gave me a lot of helpful advice on the degree of pruning I should do and Tom and his crew did a great job on that and the stump grinding that needed a mini unit as no side access to garden. Would definitely use them again.

I am disabled and was in need of wood chips for my garden. I'd had weed membrane put down and the chippings were to cover. I emailed Merritt asking if it would be possible to have a load. I got an email back within 24hrs saying they would be happy to help. Just be aware it could be any time as there busy. I pulled my blinds up in the lounge and there it was. Like a truck load nicely left on my driveway. Thank you for your help. I can have a maintenance free garden now which is such a massive thing to me. I would 100% recommend them. I am very pleased with the pruning of the tree branches along the fence line. Branches as high as 40 feet very tackled. Tactful negotiation with the neighbouring property owner was necessary and Merritt did just that.

Neil and his two colleagues cut back our high fence and ivy creeping high up the wall very efficiently. They were professional and pleasant and explained what they were doing. We have used Merritt befor and we're happy to do so this time. We had a very quick response to our email request and a couple of days later a visit by a Merritt surveyor. Very friendly and received excellent advice. A day later we received an email quite which we accepted. A few days later we were given a date for the works and the rest is history. Three tree fellers, friendly, very hard workers, sorted the job and cleaned up afterwards. No fuss, just efficient work. We are really very please. See them again in 3/4 years. Oh and the price was absolutely fine.

We've used Merritt a few times now, and keep coming back. We had a very professional crew, turned up punctually and did all the work requested while being very helpful and polite. They have modern, quiet equipment which is good. All the cuttings and clippings were taken away so we were very satisfied with how the work was done, as well as the results.
Mark has been very helpful so far and we are now waiting for the work ordered to be undertaken later in August.

An easy company to deal with. Arrived on time for survey, they raised a timely quote. We accepted. They did all the council required applications, kept informed of progress. Organised plant an access platform was required and took away the fallen tree (a large disease sycamore). All debris cleared. Additional work carried out on the day at very acceptable cost. Invoice only raised after all works were completed.
Merritt Tree Specialists took down a very old, enormous, diseased Ash tree for us and they took care of everything from managing communications and permissions with the council, to arranging safety measures with utilities, managing traffic and cleaning-up after the tree had come down.
