I couldn't go ahead with the job as planned, and that was my fault, I admit. But still charged full amount for the job that wasn't done. They couldn't even exclude any of the parts of the labour cost. Guaranteed, it was my fault for not clarifying before, but having no leeway did not make me feel like they were empathetic.
I contacted this company after reading some reviews on We Love Reigate. They were very promot to come and quote and efficient to send the fully itemised quote across to me. They came to do the work fairly soon afterwards and did a fantastic job of cutting and shaping a tall pitisporum tree and cutting down hedges with removal of the debris. They may not be the cheapest but I would definitely use them again.
Dan's team came on 22/07 to cut and shape all our hedges and shrubs, on time, skilled and tidy work, highly recommended.

DH Tree services have just been round to remove 2 trees and cut off some high branches from other trees in my garden. It has been a pleasure from start to finish to work with DH. Communication has been clear all the way along, from initial survey to visit. The team were delightful, professional, curteous and super tidy - a happy bunch, which was lovely to see. We're new to the area and need a tree surgeon to assess and then do any remedial work on our large woodland garden. Scheduling the work was efficient, and the guys who came on the day worked incredibly hard and made short work of the trees that needed to be removed. I was recommended DH tree services via a neighbour as I had 8 overgrown fir trees needing feathering and height reduction along with a further full removal of one large fir tree. The staff members were so polite, professional and friendly, when offered tea / coffee /cold drinks they were so thankful. As for the work carried out it was done to such a high standard and they even apologized for mess, when they’d finished their work there was not a speck of sawdust, branches or any mess at all. We needed quite a hard cut back of trees and shrubs, including the removal and stump grinding of the lower sectio. of a birch tree. Dan came out quickly to quote and book us in. The three chaps that did the work this morning were efficient , knowledgable and friendly. They cleaned up well afterwards, ensuring neighbours didn’t have any mess left behind. We’re very pleased with the work and will definitely return to them for continuation of work early next year.
Seen DHTS do their magic about 6 yrs ago when they took down my neighbors two huge trees. So it was my turn with my two huge trees. I got several estimates, just to be fair to myself and checked around for a good service for a good price. Needless to say I hired DHTS and couldn’t be happier with the results. They took out my huge back tree and stump,trimmed my front one to my exact specs. The guys were prompt , courteous and extremely efficient. The job was complete in about a day and a half with an incredible clean-up attitude. Diago is the man to talk to and to get the job done. Good price , great job. DH Tree services were great, from the quote to the work being carried out. We called to get a quote and Dan came round and went through all the details and emailed out the quote the same day, which was really competitive. They applied to the council for us and kept us in the loop, making that process really easy and stress free for us. When Dan and the team carried out the work, they were with us early and just got on with the job. We were really impressed by the speed in which the work was completed, they tidied up after themselves and were really approachable and friendly. Steve and Bill did a great job again today pruning & shaping around 20 trees about 6 metres high. I had the deadwood cut out of a number of oaks, 3 birches taken down and a large birch reduced in size. Dan and his team did a great job, the result looks good. The garden was left tidier than before they started and I’m very happy with the work. We used DH Trees because when Dan came round to quote for the job we saw that he obviously cares about trees. The team of five arrived promptly each day and worked continuously and professionally to remove large out of control unsightly macrocarpa trees at bottom of garden. They were a great bunch of guys who made sure everything was removed as requested and left site very tidy. I was thrilled with their efforts and the difference in appearance of garden and amount of light their removal has made. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone requiring tree work to be carried out to a high standard.

Had DH Tree Services Ltd pollard a massive conker tree, take down another smaller tree and prune an Apple and a Holly. They also chopped all my firewood stacks into 15/18" rounds so I can axe them easier. Very happy with their work. Left garden very tidy and even stacked all my logs for me after! Would recommend. We had Dan and his team in to remove a precarious large dying tree that was hanging on - ready to topple in the first storm of the winter. It was a complicated job which went very smoothly due to Dan’s expertise. The team also thinned our other poplars and raised the crown on a wild cherry tree. Very punctual and efficient. Left the garden tidier than when they arrived!

The company removed trees close to the house and reduced the height of a boundary hedge (and helpfully advised against some further work I'd proposed). The work was completed within a week of accepting the quotation by proficient and friendly staff. This firm has recently removed twelve Leylandii trees of twelve feet in height from our back garden transforming the outlook and also cut back and reshaped an out of control prunus tree in our front garden. Both jobs were carried out to our complete satisfaction and has left both front and back gardens in a far better shape. Today Dan and his team were here to cut trees. They done a fantastic job and cleaned as well after the work. Price is reasonable as well sticked with the orginal estimated cost.
Dan was recommended to us through a company who had replaced our fencing. During the building works of our recent extension we needed to remove an old tree stump which was blocking where they new patio would be. Dan has the most amazing and powerful tree stump grinder that cut through the old one like a knife like butter and took it right back to the earth. Very efficient and punctual - so fast in fact that the builder was able to carry on building the very same day! Really nice guy and he's back to carry out some work for my neighbour too.

Dan and his team came to trim back a large overgrown willow tree and hedgerows 4 months ago and came back last week to cut down an unwanted tree. They guys are super. They are efficient, professional, punctual, knowledgeable and very tidy. I would not hesitate in recommending them.

The DH Tree Services team came last week to remove a horrible, huge conifer tree from my front garden and WOW the difference it has made. They were very quick and professional. They were so tidy and I am super impressed with their work. Highly recommended .
Very happy to recommend DH Tree Services to anyone needing work done. Dan responded quickly to our initial enquiry and was very knowledgable when doing a site inspection, giving us excellent advice about the front and rear spaces at our new property. We had one very large leylandii removed at the front of the house and a very overgrown “hedge” of leylandii at the back, alongside two Ash trees and an awful lot of bushes. The quote came through incredibly quickly and was very competitive and following the reviews seen, we were very happy to go ahead. Dan scheduled us in for just a few days later and work started (lucky timing!). The team arrived promptly, raring to go and before we knew it the gardens were opened up to the light! The guys did a fantastic job, working efficiently and effectively and we were very happy indeed. When a piece of equipment broke, completely not their fault, the team went above and beyond to try and finish, staying hours later to get the job completed that day. When it got too dark and it wasn’t going to be possible, the company kept in great communication and came to finish as soon as the machine was fixed. The communication was excellent, the team knowledgable and hardworking, and the service top notch. Very much recommended and should we need more work in the future, I wouldn’t hesitate to contact them again!

Dan and his team did a fantastic job cutting back the trees in exactly the way we asked. They even handled the process of us getting permission to do the work which was an unexpected bonus. Another bonus was to come home to find the garden completely cleared of leaves which is not something we asked for and were not charges for! Thank you Dan and the team, we will never use anyone else.

Dan and his workers turned up on time as agreed and started work straight away once they had sorted out there equipment. they lowered the height and width of my 75ft long hedge. bear in mind I have a flower boarder the complete length of the hedge on one side and a right of way path on the other side. you would not know that they had to walk on the flower boarder. also that they had actually been here due to the way they cleared up after themselves , why they where here they where very friendly and courteous and nothing was to much trouble . would recommend them to any body .

We have used Dan and his team for the last 10 years or so and would never use anyone else. A large eucalyptus tree was removed today, was amazing to watch. The team are so professional and work really hard to get the job done. Tidying after is excellent and importantly they also ensure neighbours gardens tidy of any debris too so everyone is happy. I recently hired DH tree services based on their reviews on here and checkatrade and I must admit they were fairly responsive to my inquiry and also reasonable in cost. However, I was not very pleased the the quality of work nor their customer service and for that reason I wouldn’t use them again nor recommend.
Dan and his team were brilliant, they arrived on time and were so efficient when the work began and cleaned up after everything was done. We had a troublesome, very large, dying oak in the back garden but they had a plan and executed it perfectly. I will definitely be contacting them again for any future work. They are very trustworthy and I have already recommended them to my family, friends and neighbours.
This is the second time we have used DH and should have left a five star review the first time too. Advice before the work and during was professional and precise. The team arrived on time and completed the works efficiently with a full clean up after. Very competitively priced too. If we need any more tree work they will be our first company to go to.

We used the service of DH Tree Services on 11/5/20 @ 6pm. Our tree fell across our drive with the strong winds and landed on the next door neighbour's car!! We called DH Tree Services. They were with us within the hour! We were very impressed with the way they worked, not only the speed, but extra care they took by gently cutting off the branches before removing the tree from the car next door. Hence no damage to either cars. They cleared up and the left the place very clean and the cars dust free. Both gentlemen were very polite and professional. They were knowledgeable about the problems with the tree and conducted the emergency with great skill. We would certainly use their services again and recommend them to others.

On Friday 27/03/2020 I had 2 fir trees removed, the stumps drilled out and my neighbor's trees cut back to my boundary fence. 2 men arrived promptly at the agreed time. They cleared the debris as they worked, then before leaving they raked all the garden of any remaining mess. I have used DH Tree Services before and had been very pleased with there work. Hence I used them again and I am so pleased with what they did this time. I can throughly recommend them.
We had one tree that we needed cutting down and the stump removed and another to be trimmed. The team worked quickly to get these jobs done and left the site clear. We were impressed at the communication when booking the job. We have already recommended DH Tree Services to a couple of friends!
