We had a email message from Anglian water as they detected a leak. So contacted Kirk at THS plumbing as we noticed the toilet cistern was over filling and as a result a lot water was coming from overflow pipe located outside. Sent some pictures and obtained a reasonable and fair quote and got the job booked in. A new inlet valve was installed. Very honest and friendly plumber arrived on time. Very highly skilled and excellent attention to detail explained what needed to be done. Cleaned up after the job and checked for any further leaks. Also gave great advice. The leak is now fixed and very pleased with the quality of the work and will use again and recommend to friends and family. Cheers

I had had problems with my heating going back for a few months, everyone I called was busy in the months leading to Christmas, after a call to Kirk in late December, he come over early January to have a look at my issue - a broken part - though, within 30 minutes, Kirk had a spare part from his van and after a quick rewire, the new part was in place and Boom my heating was all sorted out! He & his team fitted it, ran a new gas pipe & removed the water tank in a day. They were very conscientious, removing unnecessary pipework & left everything neat & tidy. Kirk and his team are second to none. Incredibly knowledgeable and overcame all the challenges of removing a 25 year old boiler, water heater and radiators for a replacement combi boiler. All the work was completed in under 2 days which included having to cut out and replace blocked pipes that were discovered when flushing the system and they left everything clean and tidy. Powermax boiler broke down in our flat and Kirk was able to get us a quote the following day, which was by far the most competitive quote we received. We then got the boiler replaced the following week with no issues at all. Communication was great and kept us in the loop the entire time. I would 100% recommend Kirk if your boiler needs replacing!

I emailed Kirk to see if he was available to perform an annual service and refit of a combi boiler pressure gauge. He replied promptly and was able to see me within a very reasonable time (2 weeks). He arrived on time, was polite, professional and respectful of my property (put covers over his footwear before entering). Kirk came out promptly to diagnose a continual loss of pressure in a combi boiler after I was let down by another plumber. He suggested some possible solutions and ordered a replacement PRV and expansion tank. The parts arrived and were quickly fitted - problem solved. Kirk and the team did a fantastic job replacing our old boiler with a new one, complete with Hive controls. They were professional and prompt, arriving exactly when promised and did the job in the timeframe anticipated. There was one small piece of hardware subsequently found to have a fault. After being let down by one Gas Engineer, I called THS Plumbing & heating and Kirk answered the phone and too my surprise arranged to come that morning to have a look at my boiler that was not working. Absolutely brilliant, can’t fault Kirk at all. He first helped me out for the first time after our boiler was serviced by someone else where a fault was identified, they couldn’t identify the problem or fix it. Kirk managed to find out the fault through perseverance and got the part really quickly and came back to fix it, and it’s not been a problem since! Most recently we needed our kitchen tap replacing, and as always, a fantastic job was completed. Very efficient and arrived on time as expected. Other than a new tap, I couldn’t tell he’d been as everything was spotless. Highly recommended plumber/gas safe registered engineer, and an all round very knowledgable nice guy!

Excellent communication which to me is the most important thing. Set a time / turned up on time / carried out job extremely efficiently but the seamless paying and sending of gas certificate is super impressive. As a landlord of other properties it’s usually a pain to get an engineer to turn up on time suitable for tenant and getting paperwork after can take days . Contacted THS after seeing the positive feedback here. Kirk came out quickly to diagnosis our 35-year-old boiler which had developed a leak and unfortunately reached end of life. He provided us with a quote for installation of a new combi-boiler, removal of old water tanks in airing cupboard and loft, and bricking up on old flue, which proved to be the most competitive of a few quotes gathered over the next few days from other local providers. Kirk and team completed all work within one day, and tidied up after, keeping us well informed throughout the process. After my old combi boiler died I searched online for a heating engineer and came across some very good reviews about THS. I called Kirk who was very helpful and arranged a quick visit to investigate the problem. The boiler had a serious leak and as I feared, was beyond repair. However, Kirk gave me a very fair price for a replacement boiler and arranged to install it later in the week. Phoned them up for a commercial property gas leak and they initially said yes no problem. Then phones back saying we can come out and investigate but not necessarily finish the job and we could go into next week to get the parts. What a joke after reiterating their rate of £120 an hour a few times any business would want to be running ASAP, not close down for a busy weekend period. On top of this he said we are not far off finishing for the day at 2pm. Really what firm finishes at 3/4pm. The job was very simple, isolation taps to be taken off and re-greased and one needed replacing as a missing nut. (I was told readily available for £10). Then re-check for gas leaks, how hard can that be for a reputable firm. I got the feeling towards the end of the conversation that they did not want to take the job on. Had the job done now by another firm who had me back and running in two hours.

I've got an old style back fit boiler and this is the second time THS Plumbers saved my skin. Managed to arrive faster than I have expected, knew straight away what needed fixing and charged a reasonable amount. Will definitely give them a call when it's time to replace the old clunker!

I'm a builder that's working on a house refurbishment in Northampton. I came into some major difficulty when the combination boiler stopped working after I removed some radiators. The stress was to much for me , I used my phone and typed in for the nearest plumber. THS PLUMBERS came up. I spoke to a gentleman called Kirk , informing him of the situation .He came within the hour and fixed the problem.
