I am leaving this review on behalf of my Grandad who doesn’t do the internet but wishes to praise Hugh. My Grandad had bed bugs. From the first phone call right through to treatment & aftercare, Hugh was calm, provided reassurance and understanding. Hugh understood how traumatic it was for my Grandad and put his mind at ease immediately. Hugh does heat treatment which is the only way to actually kill bedbugs. My Grandad had been messed around by another pest control guy who did 3 spray treatments and it was so traumatic as it didn’t work. Hugh was a life saver. He was good value for money too in comparison to other companies. He uses unmarked vans so your neighbours won’t know and he’s most effective and efficient. One heat treatment, 8 hours out the house, and you have your sanity, your life and your home back! My Grandad 100% recommends Hugh’s services. The pest control world can be hard to decipher (methods/ No. of visits required, he said/ she said), vary in extortionate quotes etc. Just call Hugh. Price wise, effective treatment wise, kind customer service wise - he’s the ticket! Look no further. The way he looked after my Grandad, if I ever had bedbugs I’d only ever call Hugh. The dread of having bed bugs in our house was overwhelming, I didn’t really know much about how intrusive they were and how problematic they could be . After some internet research looking at reviews I whittled it down to a few companies and spoke with them all . After speaking with Hugh my mind was put at ease , you can tell straight away when a person knows the in’s and outs of their profession and he understood the panic I was feeling. Hugh and his team did a sterling job at our house and was clean and tidy throughout. If you’re reading this then I feel your pain of having bed bugs but these guys are the ones that will sort it and guarantee their work !
Hugh responded instantly to my concerns that I had bed bugs and allowed me to send photos which he replied to straight away. When I was still concerned and wanted someone to come to inspect he organised a time quickly was very knowledgeable and helpful. Brilliant service. Thank you Hugh. Like many of you we struggled to accept this had happened to us and where it came from We persevered with other methods and attempts to rid ourselves of a limited and yet disturbing infestation. Called Hugh and he was with us within a few days. He gave good explanations of what he needed to do and why (much of which can be seen on the website). The heat treatment definitely worked and in the same day. The follow up appointment was also pain free. Will definitely immediately recommend to anyone else we learn has this same problem

We initially phoned Hugh thinking we might have a bed bug problem, but after describing what we'd seen, he was confident it was actually fleas - and he was absolutely right. Within an hour of our call, we’d trapped two fleas using sticky pads on the bed, and have since caught two more. Thanks to his advice, we immediately got started on washing everything, hoovering thoroughly. We have also bought flea killer spray which we've started to use on skirting boards and bedding/carpet etc. We also tried the hot water and lamp trap method (four bowls overnight). While we didn’t catch anything that way this time, we’ll give it another go tonight. We're so grateful for Hugh’s honest and practical advice - and for saving us from spending money on an unnecessary pest control visit. Thank you again!
Hugh is extremely professional and unbelievably helpful. He has invested heavily in the right equipment to deal with the dreaded bed bugs. It has been one of the most stressful times from unwanted visitors. But from the moment my wife spoke to Hugh, we were reassured and true to his word he has elminated them from our lives. Even though i was based in a location where i was not able work with Hugh in person, as we were based outside of the UK. Last week, my girlfriend and I realized we had bed bugs for the first time whilst in the process of moving to our new home together. We’d already moved half our stuff and realized we’d have to get both places treated. I’m an incredibly anxious person and couldn’t sleep or eat for days after we found out. I called a lot of places but Hugh was most knowledgeable and (for lack of a better word) human. He talked me through the process thoroughly and answered my millions of follow up questions. Hugh and Graham (i think that’s his business partner’s name) were both so lovely and put us at ease while treating our apartments thoroughly. So far, we’ve slept two nights at our new place without any issues or sightings of bugs (and believe me, we’ve been looking hard). I’ll post an update review in 2 weeks after our follow up appointment with the Bed Bug Doctor. But yeah, I highly recommend them, both because of good, knowledgeable service and because of genuine empathy and patience.
Found out we had a bed bug problem on a Sunday, didn't expect anyone to contact me until the next day but Hugh messaged and then called to talk through where to go from here. I messaged him several times and he always came back to me either with advice or reassurance. We decided to give the heaters a go to see if we could get rid of the bed bugs by ourselves. We had them for 5 days and they worked a treat. Very easy to set up and extremely effective. We would recommend using these to anyone. Thanks Hugh!
Hugh has been amazing from the start! I first called him on a Sunday morning not expecting anyone to answer the phone in pure desperation in hoping someone would be able to get rid of our bed bugs. He came round within a couple of days. He is 100% reliable and trust worthy. Our bugs have been very reluctant to leave, Hugh has been back several times and finally we are free of them, he’s always at the end of the phone, answering my messages anytime of the day/night.
