Prime Locksmiths

I wanted to deal with a locally based professional directly not through an extra layer of I don’t know what . What I got was just that . Add on skill and a determination to do a thorough job at a fair price . Job done could not be happier . Highly recommended!!!

Amazing, honest, speedy service, a rarity to find someone trustworthy nowadays but Sam was friendly, honest, up front about costs and repairs went out of his way and beyond to help and give advice. And on top of that did an excellent job. I would 100% recommend Prime Locksmiths to anyone. If you're looking for a skilled, down to earth, knowledgeable, trustworthy locksmith and want to support a local business then I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.

I was recently on the receiving end of an attempted burglary where the lock was almost broken in to. Around midnight I was searching for someone to replace my door lock and handle and put on an anti-snap lock. I came across Sam and he responded very promptly, and arranged the earliest appointment to see me. The service was very quick and the quality of the work was excellent. Sam also gave some great advice along the way. Thank you for your help at such short notice.

Although not an emergency Sam arrived promptly, diagnosed problem and gave an estimate to repair fixed problem ,very reasonable cost Would recommend.

Would like to thank Prime Locksmith's. Was reasonable in price, came on time and did the job really good. Will definitely be recommending to my family and friends.

Excellent. My front door was quite tricky to sort out. Gave me price for work prior to starting and advised me of any extras there may be(there weren't any). Explained what he was doing and why. Went over and above work requested to ensure everything was as it should be. Good price. Prompt work. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great experience with Sam, who replaced our front door locking system. From the start, he was professional, friendly, and clearly knew his trade inside out. He explained the options in a way that actually made sense, didn’t push anything unnecessary, and helped us choose a solution that felt secure and good value. The work itself was done efficiently and to a really high standard and everything feels solid and works smoothly, which is exactly what you want with something as important as your front door security. He also made sure everything was tidy before leaving, which we really appreciated. What stood out most was how reliable and straightforward he was—turned up when he said he would, communicated clearly, and took pride in doing the job properly. He clearly cares about his work to a high standard and it shines through in how he works. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sam to anyone needing a locksmith. Honest, skilled, and genuinely helpful. He will be out locksmith moving forward :)

Quick response time and great job done, really helped us out when door wouldn't lock late at night just as we were going to bed. Saved us a sleepless night! Will use again for all our locksmith needs.

Great service from Sam, came round very quick and sorted out my problem! Highly recommend!

Very professional and helpful and competitive rates highly recommended

10/10 service. Brilliant. Do not hesitate to use. Such a good experience. If I could give Sam 20 stars I would. Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish. Made my initial enquiry via the website and Sam rang first thing the next morning to book us in. We needed 3 new locks on doors after moving into a new property. Sam arrived early on the date planned and explained the process, prices and options. Extremely reasonable pricing and by fa cheaper than other rough prices I was given by two other locksmiths previously. He changed all 3 locks very quickly, and even put the seal back on the bottom of my back door that recent delivery drivers had pulled off without me even asking. He also fitted a new handle for the back door. I also asked him whilst there if he could take a look at the front door shutting issues and cut an an old padlock from the garage gates and he fixed those issues also and wouldn’t even charge me for it! Sam explained everything he was doing and showed me the new locks before fitting and how they were more secure etc. He got rid of the old locks for us too and left everything tidy with absolutely no mess. I even asked Sam to add onto the price for fixing the door for us and he wouldn’t! Sad I didn’t have any cash to give him a tip. Thanks so much Sam for such a fantastic service. I will be recommending you to literally everyone I know.

Responded inside of 20 mins to a call after my 83 year old grandad’s house had been broken into. Quick, efficient, tidy and offered great comfort in an evening full of distress and upset. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you so much.

Rang Sam as my front door lock was faulty, he arrived promptly, explained the issue and fixed it within minutes and took away the old faulty part. He was friendly, professional and I would highly recommend and definitely use again if needed.

Prime locksmiths responded to my late night call promptly and arrived rapidly which was a relief as I was locked out. Sam was very courteous and respectful he explained everything prior to any work ensuring I was fully aware of what was to expect and what the costs would be! I was reassured and confident of the service I was receiving and of Sam’s knowledge and ability. All in a good experience in an inconvenient situation. I have primes locksmiths stored in my phone should I require them again. Service great and price as expected for a late night emergency call!

Sam helped us get back into our house after an accidental lock out 🤦‍♂️ Quick initial communication over the phone and appreciated his transparency about options and prices. Sam arrived exactly when he said he would and tried a variety of ways to get us back in, starting with what would be the least mess and expense. Fantastic knowledge, professional and would highly recommend.

Sam came out the next day with no call out fee to see if he could help with the problem with my door. He was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and open with potential issues and costs. Had Sam out today to sort out a problem with my UPVC back door He came out within the hour of me phoning him. Told me exactly what the problem was. It was sorted there & then. Came in a little cheaper than price quoted on the phone No pushing for extra business, even showed my husband a couple of things to try if we had a problem with the door. That just shows how honest & straight Sam was. I would highly recommend him

Fantastic service, arrived within 20 minutes of call out (no call out fee) Explained all costs before starting work, and even thought the job proved more complicated than at first thought didn’t charge any extra. Went the extra mile and explained everything at every stage of the job. New lock looks high quality and feels a lot more sturdy than the one it’s replaced. Recently my old tilt and slide patio door handle broke and I was gutted as this was the main access for my dogs to get into the garden securely. I rang a few Locksmiths who were unable to assist. After reading the reviews for Prime I gave them a call. Sam agreed a time to arrive that suited my work pattern. He knew straight away what the problem was, quoted and cracked on getting it fixed. The door handle has never worked better and so smoothly. So pleased I found Prime and would definitely recommend them. Mrs Hurley

Lifesaver - 15 minute response when I was locked out and got me straight in. Up front with very reasonable prices and friendly service, thanks again

*** ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT *** I can not recommend Sam enough! Not only was he friendly & approachable, but, he responded to my enquiry immediately & attended my property to deal with the issues very swiftly during the busy time of Christmas! Despite having to deal with an old UPVC patio door with parts that were obsolete. He also had a nightmare of a job to correct a previous attempt at another mans handy work! The work that he carried out was to a very high & professional standard with costing transparency throughout. Sam took his time to go through everything in detail before any decisions were made & also gave me aftercare advice to maintain the longevity of the products fitted. To which, he didn't try to sell me any fancy, expensive products, instead, advised where I could purchase them cheaply. I can not praise Sam enough for his patience, through, what was a very distressing time for me. I will be recommending him to all my friends & family! Thank you so much Sam, for not only your kindness & patience, but, also for an amazing job! Kindest Regards & Happy New Year! Amanda

Absolutely first class this firm. Sam was upfront and honest and I knew what I was paying before I even put the phone down with him. Prime Locksmiths came out when others said they couldn't. I'd managed to lock myself out and had 3 kids to look after. Definitely made a stressful situation better with competence, good communication and good humour. Definitely a more difficult job than normal but after trying all options to preserve the lock had to use destructive methods to gain entry. All clearly explained and a fair price for the work carried out.

First-rate service. A very prompt response to my initial message, and he arrived without delay. All non-invasive methods were attempted for a very tricky situation before resorting to a full lock-replacement. Costs were accurate and given up-front. Thanks, Prime Locksmiths, for a quick and reliable rescue!

We called Prime Locksmiths at Midnight when our Front Door lock broke when I arrived home from a night shift. Great service, replaced our broken lock, very knowledgeable and a nice guy. Will definitely use again, thanks Sam.

Prime Locksmiths just fitted new locks to the front and back doors. Having spoken to Sam through text message and WhatsApp prior to his attendance, I found his knowledge to be excellent and up to date. Everything was explained about the job in a clear and calm manner. Fitting the locks was really quick process , Sam just gets on with it, closing doors to keep the heat in the house, very conscious of the times we are in. Asked about other jobs and gave very honest answers which was greatly appreciated. I was contacted by Prime Locksmiths through the Bark website for trusted tradesman. I placed a job there and Prime Locksmiths responded first. It’s hard to find a trusted tradesman and the website and Prime Locksmiths did a fantastic job at reassuring me. I will definitely use again and have no concerns whatsoever in recommending Prime Locksmiths to anyone.
