Had an issue with an old key i had, as I only had the 1! Went into Harrolds and spoke with Rob. They ordered some blank keys as this was a special order, but because of the age of the lock the ones that arrived were not suitable. I was assured that this was not a problem. After a little wait, I was presented with 4 new keys, which had been meticulously engineered to not only fit the lock but the area around the lock which made my keys unique. Looking at the original and the new ones, I knew that they we a fantastic match and eagerly headed home to check the worked. What can I say.... Marvellous! I can't recommend this company enough, as the even found the original key I had unknowing dropped in there carpark. So thank you very much H.Harrold and Sons. Fantastic service from start to finish. I accidentally entered the wrong serial number for my Ultion key, but it was no problem at all for the team to sort out. They were really helpful, quick to respond, and made the whole process completely stress-free. I received the correct key the very next day, and it was even cheaper than ordering directly from the supplier. Excellent customer service, fast delivery, and great value for money. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing replacement keys or locksmith services.

Lost the blade from the end of a car key. The pin had dropped out. Elsewhere offering to replace the full key and electronics. Here just the blade and pin fitted to key £25 not a huge multiple of this. Done in 15 minutes

We ordered 16 new mailboxes via Rob they arrived very promptly we had then fitted and we had a small problem with water ingress on a couple Rob arranged for the manufacturer to inspect them via Rob at Harold’s and Phil from the maker it was agreed they would supply 16 new superior and more expensive mailboxes free of charge !!!! They are now fitted and they are very smart tremendous service from both parties cannot praise them enough!!!

Brilliant service, I phoned up needing 4 different locks making to just one key. This was no trouble for them and they arrived in a few days.... absolutely fantastic, but I would recommend that they change their Google profile because it says they are open on Saturdays but their not to my discover ment once I drove there lol.

Andy was only booked to replace my back door lock but was extremely helpful and flexible; first unjamming my front door and replacing that lock, and then repairing my sticking back door before replacing that lock. I wanted a set of duplicate keys that Were so specialised I couldn't get them anywhere else. I expected mine to have to be sent away but they had a machine that could make them on the spot. I only had to wait 15mins for these Avacet keys.

Although we live in Sheffield we ordered some keys on line. Instead of delivery we decided to pick up . Quick phone call to the company absolutely no problem. As the keys were registered to Ultion they messaged us to make sure it was us that had ordered them. Absolutely first class service. Kept informed by email and we picked them up the next day. An old established company that we have used for many years. Highly recommended. They do a good walk in service too if you are local.

If Harrold & Sons don't have it, the reason is because it hasn't been invented. This place specialise in locking equipment and are the best in the business. A bit slow at dealing with customers and I will never understand why they use the retail department from upstairs when they have a huge and easier access downstairs but other than that they are brilliant at what they do.

Was told needed a new blade and key so I bought a new fob (came with a blank blade) off eBay for £3.60 and transferred the old key blade and PCB into the new key. Took 20 minutes (knocking out the pin took up most of the time). Instructions on youtube were a big help.

Andy called called by a few days ago to fit a new lock in my front door. He arrived on time, looked smart and professional. His calm manner was a relief as I had wondered what the job would entail.I needn't have worried, Andy fitted the lock in good time and gave me some follow up advice.I can't recommend this company highly enough.

Great place for all your security needs. I took my faulty upvc door lock cylinder into the shop, and they encouraged me to take the whole lock assembly in so they could diagnose the issue. They replaced a faulty part whilst I waited. Very happy that I didn't need to call out a locksmith.

Went to get my car key repaired. All seemed fine, they seemed very professional. I didn't realise that they hadn't swapped over the chip in the key casing. This meant that the next day when I tried to take the car out, the car turned over but wouldn't start. I didn't know what the issue was so I called out the AA. A very frustrating and expensive experience because of their mistake. At least I know what to look out for if I need another key repair.

I was happy with the quality of the locksmith and how quick they were at replacing my house locks. However, I would not use them again as the price agreed via the phone call (and the number of keys to be provided) was not what was originally stated to me when I made my decision to choose them. Including getting more keys, the bill was more than 30% higher than was first described. I am frustrated as i was happy with the price I was told and so stopped searching around for a good deal. All in all, I would look for an alternative locksmith/replacer unless you have no other options.

I was going out of the house at 1:00 pm on 14.03.2024. I could not lock the front door. Didnt know what to do. I phoned H Haroold and sons, by 2:oo pm a locksmith (Andy) arrived. By 3:10 pm the barrels on both my front and rear doors had been changed to new high security Ultion locks. Andy was very helpful and also looked at my patio door locks which he said were already 'anti snap' and did not requrie to be changed. The service was excellent and sorted what seemed an urgent problem without any fuss.

Something broke in the door lock gear box mechanism internally within our UPVC door. Fortunately the door was securely locked, but there was no way to now disengage the dead bolts and open the door. I phoned Harolds just before closing time on Monday (4/Nov) to explain the problem. An engineer came round first thing next morning to help us out. Despite being a really awkward job with a drill he managed to get the door open and fit a new gear box without causing any damage to the door. Really impressed by the overall service from the first call to completing the work. Many thanks for coming to our rescue.

The customer service here is excellent, I phoned to make an enquiry about getting some spare Ultion keys cut, I was given all the relevant information I needed about having these keys cut and the pricing is unbeatable, at less than half the cost compared to having them cut by Ultion themselves. I therefore drove into Sheffield and found the company, the customer car park is located just up the side road on the right. There was a fair queue inside but within 2 minutes extra staff appeared and the queue was sorted. I went away very happy and with 2 working keys. There was plenty to browse while waiting lots of items to help with any type of security related issues as well as parts for CCTV systems.

Having almost getting ripped off by the AA for having my car stranded at the Wicker because I broke my one and only car key, I literally rang Harrold & Sons first, they asked me for some photos for the key via WhatsApp, told me to come in on the same day and I got it cut in 10 minutes for £25. Absolutely recommend, they were awesome and got me out of a tricky situation straight away. My stress levels went from 100-0 as soon as they made me a new car key.

My Seat key snapped on a weekend and I didn't have a spare key. H Harold and Sons were so helpful when I called them on Monday. I rang them and they asked me to WhatsApp them a picture of the key. They instantly got back to me with a quote and said they could repair it. I dropped the key off that same day. Later that day they rang to say it was ready but asked if the remote lock was working earlier (which it was). They said they couldn't pick up a signal and because it was working before they will order me a new remote without any additional charge. But to synchronise it they will need the car bringing to the shop. I collected the key and then brought the car in the next day and a short while later, they gave me a brand new key which works perfectly. The best customer service I could have asked for. Will definitely recommend them to anybody who needs any key related issue sorting.

I needed a little graphite powder for freeing up two sliding plastic pieces in an old children's toy. They had a medium-sized bottle in store, and it was about £8.00 + VAT, so I casually asked if they sold it in lesser quantities explaining what I needed it for. The young lad smiled, went in the back, then came out a couple of seconds later with a small, clear plastic container with easily enough for my job. When I asked him the price, he grinned and waved me away, saying it was left over from a recent job and would only be binned, anyway. HOW THOROUGHLY DECENT IS THIS?! Harrold's have just earned themselves a customer for life and a keen (...and vocal, lol...) advocate for their business. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I had a broken car key Was told by other places 80-100 quid to replace, the guy litteraly took it away for 5 mins came back said we could replace it but it's a simple fix. The only place in Sheffield to go for locks, keys and door and window mechanism parts. Staff are always helpful, plenty of free parking. Shame it will soon cost £10 to visit, due to the congestion charge. Hope this doesn't affect business too much.

I was told that it isn’t and that I have to make my own arrangements to collect the safe,, I told the receptionist that I will and once I did arrange it I called them back ( half hour later) I was told that it’s not available as someone is looking at it in the warehouse?!! I have asked to speak to the owner and she just put the phone down on me!!! I called again and she put the phone down again as I asked to speak to the owner!!! They are RUDE IMPOSSIBLE TO COMUNICATE WITH and not trained to speak to public in an polite manner!!! What ever I have asked them I was brushed off and really rude too!!! I DON’T recommend anyone this business as you will be insulted and disrespected and lied too!!

Called in to have some security keys cut, and even though there was a few people in before me, I was served with 5 cut keys, paid and out in 10 minutes. All keys work and price was quite reasonable. Well stocked with various security pieces and seem very knowledgeable when I've spoken to them. Will use again when keys are needed.

After a series of burglaries in the area, we decided to replace the locks on our front and back doors as well as our patio doors. Rang H.Harrold after failing to get a response from a couple of other local locksmiths. An appointment was made for a couple of days later for an engineer to have a look and advise on our best option. "Andy" arrived on time on Monday morning and just over an hour later, the new Utilon locks were installed and Andy was on his way. Friendly, professional and efficient service. We're considering CCTV installation and Harrold's will be the first people we'll call when we're ready to go.

While they sell up to the minute products, the service is "old fashioned" in the best possible sense. Nothing is too much trouble, and they really do go out of their way to ensure you get exactly what you need and want. One of the few places that I actually enjoy visiting! Make sure you use their dedicated car park, up the street just past shop and signed to the right, as the Traffic Wardens are kenn round there

I just wanted to say a big thank you to the Harrold’s team. Earlier today, our house lock developed a fault. They produced a customised "protected" cylinder within an hour, and when that did not solve the problem, their technician came out within an hour and pretty much dismantled the upvc door in order to get it working again. So, thanks to Harrold's for their swift help!

Excellent service well organised regarding covid safety and only had to wait about ten minutes for my keys cutting.

They just get it. I called because I was fitting a Patlock and discovered the numpty who had put the handles on had some screws on the outside. I also being a numpty, albeit of a lower order, thought they'd fitted a couple of same-handed handles so called HHS to ask about a replacement set. I sent Donna some pictures and she immediately replied to say that handles aren't handed and can easily be turned round. My Skype call and red face were a small price to pay, literally and metaphorically. So there we are: HHS are my go-to locksmiths. Are you watching, competitor who charged me £130 for a replacement set? Shame on you.

Outstanding service from the whole company, Donna dealt with our emergency really quickly and expertly and Andy the locksmith was friendly and polite - with helpful safety advice thrown in for good measure. Not at all expensive when you consider the nightmare of being locked out and the prospect of damaging windows and doors. Would recommend without question.

This is the place for all things locks and keys. That includes car keys, check them out before you buy from a dealer. They also sell quality tools at bargain prices. Due to Covit they're operating a one way system. As you go out be careful. They told me to watch my step at the bottom of the door and bumped my head on the top.

Terrible service from the new generation at the managment level. I feel for the staff members front of house who try and do their jobs applying good customer service. One female in the office has no people or customer service skills at managment level and is only their because of family relations and comes to work a grumpy and really has no skills in the industry. I really think the future of this firm will not be a success and feel sorry for the workers jobs.

Is some naightmare...Have been today and asking to to copy my Honda key to other replacemet bought from aliexpress ( more suitable ) however guy check me under watch eye line... said ......sorry no copy keys other than genuine....so my question ? Had a car key cut here recently and experience was smooth quick and painless. Charge a fair price and all staff are helpful and knowledgeable.

Would be no star if possible, I have used H Harrold many times without any issues or complaints but when they say that £15 +vat is £20, when it is actually £18 and that price has gone up from £7.50 2 months ago I will not be using them again.
