In addition they removed the grass next to the parking area that always looked horrible to gravel to which I can add pots and an area of paving for the bins. This work on the garden is to provide a lower maintenance space whilst providing options for growing vegetables and flowers. James keeps you informed of all the garden works from start to finish and shows you what the garden will look like and will offer expert advice on products they will be using, making sure you are happy. James and Mark are very hardworking and want their customers to have the special and lovely garden they desire, offering expert advice along the way, they are both very experienced in the garden and landscaping business and know their job very well. James and Mark turned my rather small drab plot of a garden into a lovely landscaped garden area that Iam more than happy with. The price was reasonable. James wants his customers to be happy with the results. I would 100% recommend Grants Gardens and Landscapes for a professional and excellent job. I hope I will use their services again, thank you.
James and his team have totally transformed the outdoor space of my property. They completed fencing works, a large split level patio, tree pruning and soil removal to the rear. To the front, brick edged resin bound hardstanding, demolished and rebuilt the front garden wall, planted mature hedging tying everything into an existing block paving path which was jet-washed and resanded. James managed the project to a high standard dealing with an awkward job site and difficult parking situation. Works in Jan/Feb are not the easiest especially in endless bad weather and temperatures of minus 6 at one point. Despite this they still turned up on time everytime, always leaving the site clean, tidy, secure and safe. A clear well prepared quote with staggered pricing structure. Contact was prompt and attentive from start to finish. I cannot fault James's attention to detail, professionalism and desire to ensure the customer is happy with the work as it progresses. A local business who deliver to a high standard in a timely manner, professional, customer focused, friendly and respectful of property. I cannot recommend James and his team highly enough.
We are absolutely made up with our new patio area and are so looking forward to using the area. We relied on James’s expertise & advice with the design and his attention to detail was second to none with all the details big and small, from start to finish so the patio was laid correctly and aesthetically pleasing. James and his team were professional, polite, friendly taking pride in their workmanship and always on time. James always kept us informed with scheduling of the project, what they were going to be doing when, as some of the project was weather dependent. There was no cutting corners to get the job finished…..when it was too frosty he waited to lay the sandstone for the frosty days to clear. Everything was just taken care of at every stage of the project. When it came to choosing the plants for the raised flower bed we felt comfortable for James to choose the plants for the area and they are all just perfect. Thank you James and to all your team. We would highly recommend and use Grant’s Gardens and Landscapes again with any future projects.
Cannot recommend James and his team highly enough. From initial enquiry James replied same day and arranged a visit and quote immediately. James chatted through all of the options for our garden (wall construction, fencing and lawn work) in an honest and transparent way without any pressure or hard sell. Once we had agreed the work and a date James and his excellent team always arrived on time, worked hard in all weather conditions and got the job done in excellent time and all at a very reasonable cost. James was always available to answer any questions. A pleasure to have dealt with this excellent company.
Having contacted James, he visited and discussed our plans and made some useful suggestions which resulted in our having over 28 bays of fencing replaced with 2m close boarded, which looks great! They also constructed an additional concrete parking area and replaced our 5 bar gate, both of which are just as we wanted. James and his team (in our case mainly James, Jack and Liam) together with assistance from Paul, Emily and Charlie completed the works much quicker than we expected and too a high standard. We would certainly make use of their services again!
James and his team came to our home and transformed our garden from a lifeless rectangular space and produced a spectacular mix of nature, functionality, design and warmth. They incorporated the children’s trampoline so the whole family have area to relax and enjoy. The attention to detail was incredible and to watch it all come together was mesmerising. Our garden was in a very sorry state and in desperate need of a makeover. From the first moment James came round to discuss our requirements, we felt comfortable and trusted all the good advice he gave us. The whole process from initial visit to end result was seamless. James and Dave turned up on time and worked really hard, keeping us updated throughout. They were friendly, approachable and so helpful. James came recommended after a hunt for a trustworthy landscaper was required. Fences were destroyed by storms, and the sleepers had rotten in our small patio garden. James appreciated our immediate need for safety for our family as well as the scope of the problem, and was able to fit in our job in a very busy period. His team were courteous, worked through some horrendous weather and got our job done in just over a day. It looks great; we are delighted with how secure it is now, and compared to quotes we received elsewhere, the value we have received is excellent. They even took away all waste and tidied the space too, I couldn’t recommend them more. We also changed our entrance gate which I haven’t photographed. *People who have left 1star reviews for work not done or quotes not seen are sadly stopping these guys from having the reviews they deserve. We had 7 people come over to suggest works, 3 gave no reply or quote - it shouldn’t be that ‘personal’ to publicly downgrade anyone because of it!
We had killed off a very uneven & weed-filled lawn area from last year and were sick of looking at the mess. This team came in with mini-digger to remove old leftover earth, level-off, lay topsoil and replace with new turf, which is now settling and growing beautifully! Lovely job: James, Jordan & Jack were here at 8am each day to work and very clean workers, it's a great result. Would definitely recommend, cross my heart!!
Great work by James and the boys. So pleased with th end result. Started a week earlier than planned. Tidied up at the end of each, kept us updated throughout the project. Great value for the money. James even came back after completion to recover the decking light cable which had be knocked back down the hole by another contractor. Highly recommended

I'm so pleased i chose James and his team at Grants... i had very definite ideas on what i wanted and, with a little refinement from James, he and his team totally transformed my small back garden to my specification. Always polite and very obliging the whole team were a pleasure to have around and thoroughly professional in their approach. I can't believe how much they achieved in a relatively short time, allowing for some atrocious weather along the way. The two tier patio is a beautiful limestone, now surrounded by a great selection of trees, shrubs and perennials, all growing away well. A true sanctuary has been created and my huge thanks to James and his team for making it possible :-)
I called out Grants Landscapes as I needed to get rid of a huge pond and remove planters and small grass patch. I wanted something more open and spacious for the dog to run around and to space to entertain. James measured up and gave me ideas on what I can do. He showed and explained the differences in artificial grass. He wasn’t your typical pushy salesman and made sure we understood exactly what we were getting. His team were all very friendly, got on with the job without any delays and wasting time. They cleared up behind themselves and completed the job a lot quicker than I expected leaving me with a beautiful garden. James and his team removed our old artificial grass with Latex backing and sharp sand blinding and replaced it with all new Polyurethane backed grass on Granofill substrate which better suited our dogs. The work was done perfectly during some of the coldest weather I can remember without complaint and was finished within budget and on time. Can't recommend them highly enough..!

My husband Ben asked me to do review on James and his team. They did the job very well in a very hot weather and it took two days to complete the job. They put new fences with concrete posts and bottoms. My husband is very pleased with new fences. The men were very pleasant and polite. We really couldn’t be more pleased with our fresh, clean new garden it really has been transformed into such a nice relaxing space and I can’t stop staring at it. Communication was great from start to finish we knew exactly what was happening every step of the way. There tidiness and professionalism is on point. During the time our garden was being done it was when we had that crazy HOT weather but that didn’t stop them they are so hard working and just cracked on and did a amazing job. They did such a amazing job we’ve had them back to do our front garden too and yet again another job well done. Not the easiest of spaces to work with as both our front and back garden weren't level at all (They are now 😊). With the added obstacle of a few drain covers, which all had to be prepared for our artificial grass to be shaped round. Thank you so much James we think your great and the people you have working with you really are a credit to your team. We can’t recommend these guys enough. xxx

Great job carried out by Grants Gardens and Landscapes, and for a great price too. Booked them for garden maintenance (hedge cutting, tree removal etc). They arrived on time, the chaps were very polite and friendly and James himself was very helpful and accomodating. There were a couple of bits that we hadn't discussed at the initial quote stage but James was more than happy to accommodate for the change in plan. They left the garden nice and tidy and even cleared the leaves from the driveway which fell off the van. Couldn't recommend then enough. Thanks for the great job guys 😁

I've had James and his team working on my gardens since 2005. They provide great service at a reasonable price. James attention to detail is second to none. He has a pride in his work that is rare to find. James has completed many projects for me including turfing, decking, patio, bespoke outside building work, planting, driveway laying, fencing, post and rails... You name it and he can do it. He has ideas and contacts in the industry to allow him to provide any service you could need outside the house.
Grants Gardens recently put up a log cabin for me including building a bespoke base. James advised all the way through the process so there were no hidden costs and I knew what to expect. Very reliable and hardworking and I would recommend them to anyone.
