Andy, James, and their crew were brilliant. They defeated my jungle of a garden, took down a shed and its base, levelled everything off, laid lovely new turf, and poured a perfectly flat 4x4m base for a new garden building. They worked via a shared path at the rear of my garden and all my neighbours said how polite and respectful they were. They were super tidy and did a fantastic job, thank you!

From start to finish the team at AJ’s have been amazing, lovely team of guys with a real eye for detail and high quality workmanship. James & Andy guided us through every step of the project offering guidance and multiple options depending on budgets and timescales. We are so pleased with the end results, I think the photos speak for themselves. (Works undertaken included new driveway, new fencing, installation of soakaway, composite decking, installation of new patio, hard standing base, new turf)
James and team did a fantastic job in my garden where they replaced the old patio and shingle with a new Indian sandstone patio and dog friendly artificial grass. The guys were all really professional and the finished product is brilliant.
James and his team done an amazing job on my garden. Removal of 60 slabs, removing of all concrete underneath and replacing all with new soil and then turf. Highly recommend these guys, very friendly, helpful, clean and professional.
I have been waiting for over a month just to recieve a quote for my landscaping project. When I have contacted them I only get told that they are too busy. This certainly isn't very good customer service!!.
The whole project was well run and on time. The guys were polite and hardworking, despite the freezing weather. Very very pleased with the end result and highly recommend them for excellent work and detailed care to make it all happen. Thank you

Had a visit for a quote on our garden booked in. This was cancelled a few hours before, but was rearranged for a few days later. At the rearranged time no one turned up and no one contacted me to inform me of any problems. When I eventually spoke to someone, after chasing it myself, I was told I would be contacted after the weekend for it to be rearranged. This contact was never made either. Very poor customer service. I was then contacted the following day, finally, and they were asking what could be done for me to be a happy customer again… we arranged another time slot for them to come over and quote. When this date and time arrived, guess what…. another no show!! Absolutely appalling. Do not let this company waste your time
AJ's did an absolutely brilliant job and we couldn't be happier with the results, a good bunch of guys who were very friendly, professional and respectful of the property and surrounds who worked extremely hard each day and got the job done in a really good time-frame. I'd definitely recommend them for any landscaping / garden works.
Arranged for a quote visit to have various garden work, to which was rearranged 3 times and then on the final arranged date, they cancelled an hour after they were due to turn up. No rearranged day offered and declining the job without even knowing what was involved!
I am really pleased with what has been delivered by AJ Landscaping & Groundworks. The job was listed as fencing on MyBuilder.com and I was very disappointed by this – in setting up the job, I tried to steer it to carpentry… The job was to make a couple of gates – but one of them is approaching 3m wide and I wanted a carpenter to make the gates and fit the gate furniture. And that’s what I got. The gates look really good and are robust. There are some nice professional carpentry touches. Fitting in the groundworks was seamless and the property was secured between those and the (next day) hanging of the gates. James and the team were courteous and cheerful. They seemed invested in my satisfaction and I was kept informed throughout.
James and the team at AJ's Treefellas have been fantastic and I would highly recommend them for their landscaping services. As well as doing a wonderful job of what was planned, they also helped solve the myriad of unplanned/unforeseen problems that cropped up along the way - tree roots in the way, soakaway that needed replacing, a patio that was too short for the shed base. Nothing was too much trouble and they always found a solution. To top it off they are a lovely bunch and were really respectful of the neighbours, really important to us as the project was a 6 week one and there were some parking bottlenecks. This meant that even when the neighbours were inconvenienced with deliveries of materials they didn't mind at all. Feedback I got was, 'they are really nice guys'. Our garden now feels part of the house instead of an unusable space and we're really happy with it - Thank you!
I would like to say a big thank you to James and his team at AJs Treefellas for bringing light into our garden. Dominic and Alex did a great job on taming our unruly laurel hedge and thinning out our silver birch/sycamore. As you can see from the photos, even the sun came out in celebration! They were really helpful in giving advice as to what we could do and what might not work so well. All the trimmings (which practically covered the entire lawn) were swiftly dispatched into the back of the truck and everything was left very tidy. We are now able to enjoy the afternoon/evening sun for longer and the patio is no longer the dark and dismal place it used to get later in the day. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending AJs Treefellas... in fact I may well be seeking another quote for the boundary hedge on the roadside of our property! Many thanks again. James was recommended to us by a fellow tradesman as ‘the man who knows about trees’. We knew we wanted a tree, but we didn’t know what type to fit the requirements we had e.g. size, shape, colour, safe for pets. The internet seemed to be filled with never ending and often conflicting advice and unfortunately the gardeners we asked were only happy to do general maintenance & didn’t have the expertise we needed. James came out to see our garden and view the space we were planning on putting the tree, as well as the the type of soil we had. Whilst we bought a soil PH kit to confirm our soil PH, James put together a list of trees which would be a viable option for us. He provided us with about 6 options. After deciding on which tree we wanted he was able to source the tree at a reasonable price. We had to wait a few weeks, but for us, this wasn’t too much of an issue. When it was time to plant the tree, James and his team safely & securely planted it. Unfortunately, we realised that due to the future landscaping of the garden, the tree wasn’t in the correct place. James happily returned to move the tree for us, that was a couple months ago, and so far, it is thriving. We were really pleased with the work AJ Treefellas provided.
AJ Tree specialist were working on a neighbours property disposing of a large fern. I went and asked them about an Ivy growing up my building wall and over the window. They told me while they were working with the ladders in the garden they would deal with it for me. I said i would pay them for the work. I went around later in the day and the job had been done. I contacted them about payment and was told not too worry and they were glad to help. Fantastic, that sort of service doesn't happen very often at all. Will certainly recommend. Also the neighbours garden has been left in a very tidy state so very impressed indeed.
They have done work for me in the past which is why we continue to use them clean tidy get the job done without any fuss.
