Kitchen Craft Ltd

Our goto supplier for home improvements. We've had three large improvements undertaken by Kitchen Craft. We have always found their work to be of a higher standard than we l've had from other suppliers. Kitchen craft provide excellent knowledgeable advice and robust friendly service. Their ongoing support is also excellent. This is my honest review of our experience with this Weymouth based business. Recommended.

I was unsure what sort of kitchen I wanted and the designer was intuitive and excellent. He came to my house and took on board what I knew I wanted and came up with a suitable design making maximum use of a very small space. The estimated timetable was pretty accurate too but expect to be flexible. The quality of the kitchen is good and the fitter was very professional and helpful and worked to a high standard with an extensive skill base and the attitude of doing a good job. It was great to have a kitchen fitted, electrics etc all organised and everything left tidy at the end of each day. I had a few unpleasant disagreements with the outfit along the way but managed to iron out any problems and end on good terms. My only caveat is that the colour of the units was very different to the photographic representations so if possible ask to see it first.

I would advise to avoid Kitchencraft Weymouth. If you do go with them, do not pay them upfront. I had a contract with them for kitchen/diner floor and new worktops and some units. They gave a fixed price quote (it did have some maximum hours stated in it which they did not reach). I paid thousands upfront. The commercial manager “Chris” tried to get an extra £500, which was not in the quote or contract, before they had even shown up at my door or started any work. The work on the kitchen floor was poor – even worse than my own DIY. Particularly how they did the edges and the levelling. I complained and they rectified some of it but not all of it. They tried in to double charge me for items which I think is illegal, not just against the contract. They suggested changes and then quoted extremely high prices for the changes. I confirmed one in writing to them and paid for it, but did not confirm the others and they then told me that I could not say no to the rest as they had already purchased the items (even though the second phase of the work was still a month away). I asked to see the items they had purchased or the purchase order paperwork, but they could not show me either, but still insisted they had already bought them and that I had to pay. I terminated the work after phase 1 as I simply lost all trust them - either in the quality of work or their integrity. I still have soft patches where they did not level the floor properly (which was in the quote for them to do and for which I paid for). The floor panel will break over these low patches and I have to redo this myself now after paying thousands to Kitchencraft Weymouth. I asked them to return to fix the poor work but they did not. I then received a lot of nasty emails from the manager Chris which simply seemed like attempts to gaslight and bully. That’s what you might get if you pay them. I now have to either drill holes in my floor and try to squirt filler in, or take out skirting boards and flooring and level it properly and re-lay it. I sent video of the improper soft floor to Kitchencraft but they simply said to stop emailing them. They did not fix their terrible work. So, as above I would avoid them or if you do go with them do not pay money until you have a quality of job that you are happy with. This is not the only review on google that has this message.
