We had a few kitchen fitters round for quotes, but Tain was the only one who picked up that our kitchen design needed altering slightly, which we were able to do. Each day Tain arrived promptly and settled to work straight away. He always left the kitchen in a neat and tidy state. We are really pleased with how our new kitchen looks and cannot thank Tain and his colleague (son) enough. There were a few trials to cope with along the way such as bowed plinths, but these were fitted to perfection. I cannot recommend Tain highly enough.
I had a great experience with Tain of TM Installations and would recommend them. They showed excellent attention to detail, worked efficiently, and were professional throughout. I also really appreciated the flexibility to choose and design my own kitchen, which made the end result feel much more personal. The only downside was a long waiting list and occasionally being a bit hard to get hold of, but that reflects how in-demand they are. In the end, everything worked out well and I’m very pleased with the result. I would definitely use TM Installations again for another project.
Tain fixed some alignment issues with my kitchen worktops and fridge/freezer doors and outer panel doors. Many would have walked away as the job was very tricky but Tain persevered and in the end he did a superb job of resolving all the issues. He is very skilled and a real credit to the trade.
Tain changed all my kitchen doors and had drawers installed as well. Excellent job. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend
Beautiful job from Tain! We’re absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen! Tain did such a fantastic job fitting our solid wood cabinets — the blue finish looks amazing and really makes the whole space feel special. You can tell he takes real pride in his work; everything lines up perfectly and the quality is just excellent. Tain was lovely to have around too — professional, easy to talk to, and full of good ideas along the way. He kept everything tidy and made the whole process stress-free. Couldn’t recommend him more highly — if you’re thinking about getting a new kitchen, Tain’s your guy!
We have a 200 old cottage where Nothing is square or level the floors slope and the walls even more. We were stressed about it but Taim fitted our kitchen using every skill he had and made it all fit perfect. The man is a genius and we cannot recommend him enough we had to wait but it was well worth it when you see the end result.
Tain was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Meticulous, professional, and clearly passionate about his craft, he made the whole kitchen installation process smooth and stress-free. He worked closely with me on the kitchen design and offered great advice that really elevated the final result. I was very impressed with Tain's work. Not only was he a skilled and extremely competent fitter. He was very knowledgeable in all aspects of new kitchen installation. He was able to resolve issues with the supplier on my behalf which another installer might not do, and was an excellent carpenter. He worked with a team of very skilled colleagues. Electrician, gas man, tiler, floorer and all associated requirements. His work ethic was excellent and he was extremely reliable. I would gladly recommend his services to others.

Tain did some alterations and installations for us at the end of 2023, in a converted utility room, and in our kitchen a sink, oven and down vented draft hob both replacements and alterations He is professional, and his attention to detail outstanding, as well as offering ideas and suggestions. He is also punctual and polite, nothing is too much trouble. We couldn't be happier with the results. Highly recommended Tain.
We have just had a new kitchen installed by T M Kitchen Installations. Tain the owner is a true professional. His craftsman ship is outstanding and his attention to detail is unbelievable, he is also a true gentleman. We were let down badly by the kitchen supplier and only given a day’s notice that the kitchen would not arrive on time. When I informed Tain of this there was no issues and he booked us back in without any problems. The kitchen supplier continued to let us down with missing parts but Tain continued with the job as and when the parts arrived. We now have a beautiful kitchen which is perfect in every detail. I would recommend Tain McDowell to everyone as I feel I couldn’t have got a better job from anyone else. He gets booked up in advance and I now know why. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Outstanding work! I used TM kitchens to rip out repair and install a brand new kitchen after a flood.
