I first engaged with Heating Works / Michael 2 years ago looking to replace my old boiler and heating / hot water system, which I had for many years and which was prone to faults due to its age. I called up a few engineers, but went with Michael as his initial visit gave me a lot of confidence in him and the quote he provided was very reasonable. He upgraded my system over a few days and explained to me how to operate it and answered all my (many) questions. Since then, Michael has been servicing my system on an annual basis, including just yesterday. He continues to show himself to be professional yet friendly. He cares about his customers and wants to give them peace of mind. He spent a reasonable amount of time and didn't rush things, but was also quick to send the paperwork after the appointment. After being told by the British Gas enigeer sent by Hive that we couldn't have Hive installed due to compatability issues with our Heat Interface Unit (we have district heating), we tried ringing around other engineers. District heating is relatively new and rare in the UK so we were struggling to find much information about fitting smart heating with the HIU, and few quotes we got were also way too high and/or couldn't guaruntee they'd actually be able to do it either. Eventually found Heatworks, gave Michael a ring and he said it should be possible and if it wasn't he wouldn't charge us. We arranged a visit and he sorted it all really quickly and made sure everyhting was working fine. Really friendly guy too, would definitely recommend Heating Works.

My boiler started leaking the Sunday before Christmas. Less than an hour after calling, Michael had found the problem, sorted a temporary fix and organised replacing the problem part at a later date. Our hot water had suddenly stopped working and Michael was able to fix the issue same day (even though his van had broken down!) saving us on purchasing a new boiler as suggested by a different plumber. Very happy with the work done. Boiler ceased to work and radiators were very old and leaking. I am from Chigwell which is a bit far from Heating Works but they were still happy to help. Michael from Heating Works was very professional and gave me a very competitive and honest quote (approx 1/3 of the price) of what British gas and other private plumbers quoted me. We decided to change my normal coventional boiler into a new combi boiler, that way I get hot water anytime I turn the tap on rather than having to put timers to heat the water in the old boiler. Michael also helped me install 3 new radiators. All has been working fine since and he even gave me a free 1 year guarantee and said to ring him if any issues occured with the new installation. Definitely recommend heating works if you want a trust worthy, honest and professional plumber / boiler engineer!
