A follow-on post from 3 years ago - Joel is still providing exceptional service. We'd been a bit lax in organising a service on our old boiler with Joel this year. Last week the boiler started leaking :-( We think the boiler is like Trigger's broom now :-) Joel was able to diagnose immediately and then sourced and fit the part really quickly. I just rang him today and he's a straight up chap not robbing me like others. I said my Bosch boiler has a hot water fault and thought it had a 2 year warranty. He said to check a Bosch boiler warranty link and I'm actually covered by an 8 year warranty! So nothing to pay out as I'll get Bosch to send and engineer out for free to fix the problem. Many thanks for being so open and honest. Saved me a lot of money.

I needed a boiler repair. I tried different companies over 2 days, they either didnt turn up or told me they couldnt come out for a few days . Most also had a ' chat resonse ' on computer on an 0800 number. Then i rang - JS GAS & PLUMBING SERVICES. Spoke directly to the Boss on his mobile. He sent Joe out within 3 hours. Joe fixed Boiler within 30 mins JOB DONE. Im 100 % happy with the way ive been treated by this company and the service they have provided from start to finish. I contacted Joel after my boiler broke down in my decontamination unit on site in Leicester. Joel was with me within an hour or so, with tool bag in hand. He had us up and running again in no time. A rare occasion of a heating engineer that actually turns up! Called on Monday, Joe was out to assess the problem same day. Part ordered and fitted by lunchtime Thursday and hot water back on with great communication throughout. Fantastic.

Needed a new boiler at short notice , Joel of JS Gas and plumbing already did the annual servicing of my boiler so asked him to supply and fit new. A member of his team removed old and fitted new boiler within days, Joel inspected the work and produced all the certification. A quick and professional service. The central heating boiler decided not to fire up last week, so no heating or hot water…plus I had the flu so living in a cold house was not good…searching google showed the issue may be a faulty pump…I searched, contacted and sent JS Gas and Plumbing Services a video and images of the error codes showing on the boiler, the pump and layout of the airing cupboard…Joel got in touch with a quote which I accepted (very reasonable)…he came to the house yesterday with a new pump…he was very polite and professional, got on with replacing the pump and other parts…explained what I need to do to keep and eye on airlocks…needless to say JSG&PS are in my contact list for future reference and I would highly recommend them for their excellent service…

We had a Leak in the loft that had flooded our ensuite and reached out to JS Gas and Plumbing based on their positive reviews. I did not regret my decision. Joel came out promptly the following morning to look at the problem for us. The leak was in a difficult location in our loft. Not easy to get to and repair but Joel took it in his stride, repaired the fault and had us back up and running. Would definitely use their friendly and effective service again.

When you make a call to someone in this line of work, let's face it you're usually unsettled, worried about being taken advantage of or worse. My experience here was as good as it gets. I spoke to Joe, who whilst already on another job took the call and committed to be there within two hours. True to his word he was there in just over an hour and a half. He quickly identified the problem and a fix which was great but what was best of all was a real sense of confidence in the way Joe explained in simple terms what had happened even going to the lengths of mimicking the sound of what, in his opinion it would have sounded like ( which it did EXACTLY) The price was more than reasonable and we discussed future visits for servicing which I'll be booking in. GREAT JOB

If I could give 100 stars I would! We have been plagued with boiler issues for several months. The boiler pressure would drop a bar every 2 days. Had a new boiler installed and still the problem continued. It became apparent we may have a leak and picked Joel from the great reviews we read. We've sold our house and really wanted not to pass any issues onto our buyers, but to be honest had given in. I spoke to Joel on the phone and he was super understanding, and offered to come out the same day, which was great as I was losing sleep over it. Joel quickly located the leak, which had been a slow leak over some time, however had amassed quite a puddle. He replaced and soldered the pipework under the floorboards all in the same visit, and was also super tidy relaying the carpet and trim, and his costing was super reasonable. We are so thankful and would recommend Joe thoroughly to anyone that needs a first class heating engineer. He worked so hard on the hottest day of the year, and was constantly upbeat and happy. Thank you so much Joel, we really appreciate it!

Our prv broken and expansion vessel fall down the wall on our unvented heating system during Sunday morning, we need to shut down the mains and sent an online request n Joel responded later on the day, came in on Monday and managed to sort and allowed us to have cold water on the kitchen sink tap and ordered the parts and fixed on Wednesday. Noticed minor drips on one of the valve on Thursday, Joel responded he was going on holiday but gonna sent his dad Joe to fix on the following day. Joe came n fixed it. 100% recommend

Joe arrived very promptly and quickly diagnosed the issue. He then came the next day to resolve the issue which impressed me because it was a weekend. The price of the work was also slightly cheaper than another quote I had got so happy customer all round. Will definitely use them again if needed.

I would throughly recommend JS Plumbing they did a short notice replacement boiler for my elderly mother who was without any heating. They went above & beyond … even lent her some electric heaters for a couple of days!

Top service! Always deal with local firms and noticed the reviews on here so thought I’d give them a try. Within the hour, as promised Joe turned up identified the issue and fixed it. Could have suggested a new pump, with would have tripled the cost, but gave us some advice on using the current one to avoid any further problems and to call them. If there was. Sorted out two blocked radiators too! Very experienced operators so will definitely use again.

I contacted JS Gas and Plumbing services as Joel was recommended to me and tenants in my rental had reported an issue with their kitchen taps. Joel answered straight away and visited the property within 24 hours. He quickly identified the issue, sourced the parts and fitted them. Joel stayed in touch with me and the tenant throughout to ensure a speedy resolve to the kitchen issue. The price was super competitive and the service was excellent. I couldn't rate Joe any higher. He came out promptly for an emergency call out due to a leaking pipe. He was polite and explained everything to me so I knew what was going on. He really took the panic out of water dripping through my ceiling. Will certainly be using this company again.

My father’s boiler stopped working on Boxing Day. He is in his eighties and we were desperate to fix it. We tried the big national companies who took for ever to answer the phone, and when they did, couldn’t offer anything until the end of the month, despite their promises of 24hour call out. So I searched for a plumber near me, and came across Joe Mitchell of JS Gas & Plumbing Services. Joe arrived within the hour and quickly diagnosed the problem. He was able to replace the pump and get it working within just over an hour of arriving. When I rang in a panic the following day because dad said it still wasn’t working , he was able to talk me through identifying that in fact the pump, and therefore the boiler were working fine, it was simply that the timer was wrong. As a family, we were experiencing particular challenges due to family illness and bereavement. The broken heating was not only a practical concern but also just one more thing to deal with at an already difficult time- the final straw. Joe was calm, professional and efficient and I was truly impressed. I would have no hesitation in using him again, nor therefore, in recommending him to others.
