Floor Fitters Glasgow

Derek arrived early morning, just him, explained everything he would do and then sped through it all and did an amazing job putting down our engineered wood flooring 🤩 Would definitely recommend him! Super friendly and thoughtful too! Now our living room looks awesome 🙌

Derek came on site and did a fantastic job at laying underlay, laminate and beading within a hall and cupboard to a great standard. There were difficult angles with a lot of corners due to the layout of the room, despite this Derek did an amazing job and the room looks great

Derek fitted laminate flooring in our bedroom, office, and kitchen and did an excellent job. He worked very quickly and efficiently, and the finished floors look fantastic. Friendly, professional, and very reasonably priced, we would happily recommend him.

My daughter needed her entire flat floored and we are delighted with the end result! Very professional, attention to detail and even tidied up as he went along. Have no hesitation in recommending if you need flooring done. 5 ⭐️’s doesn’t seem enough. If you want a good job done this is certainly the person to contact.

Derek was professional, courteous and above all else, very good at what he does. We are delighted with the end product and would highly recommend him for anyone looking to have flooring fitted. Thanks again Derek and all the best!

Derek did my bedroom floor first. i was so happy with it, i later got him to do the rest of the flat. Top, top quality finish. Amazing Job. Derek is also really friendly and easy to get on with, and great communication from start to finish.

Derek done a brilliant job of fitting our laminate at our new flat. He removed and refitted the skirtings for us as we didn’t want any beading, and seamlessly continued the laminate through into the hall. He was also able to recommend a local supplier for the material itself, who were also great and delivered on a chosen date for us. Would highly recommend!

Dear Dereck, I contacted you with regards to a solid wood flooring job that you freely admitted from the get go that you couldn't do unless it cost me a small fortune, HOWEVER out of 22 so called "real wooden floor specialist companies" I contacted, only one guy got back to me saying £800 with glue for a 12 feet by 9 feet bedroom and only you tried to help me, I CANNOT thank you enough, I'm so greatful for your time and advise, it is greatly appreciated, most definitely will be contacting you in future, good guys like you have disappeared, many thanks, absolute legend, can't thank you enough, Denise, Castlemilk xx

I recently had Floor Fitters Glasgow install laminate flooring in my dinning room and I couldn't be happier with the results. From the initial consultation to the finished result, their service was exceptional. They were incredibly professional and knowledgeable, taking the time to understand my needs and offering helpful suggestions. The quote was clear and competitive, with no hidden surprises. The work was completed on time within hours and within the agreed budget, which I really appreciated. The installation itself was flawless. [He/She/They] paid meticulous attention to detail, ensuring a perfect fit and finish. The floor looks absolutely stunning and has completely transformed the space. Derek was also very tidy and respectful of my home throughout the process, cleaning up thoroughly at the end of the day.

Derek did a great job, laid a superb floor. We're very pleased. He started the job on the agreed date. He arrived at the crack of dawn each morning and just worked away. And he's adaptable, we discussed each problem as it arose, and found a solution. Thank you Derek

Overall negative experience with several key issues. We hired Derek to fit LVT flooring throughout the flat, including the kitchen. Not only did he attempt to argue about the scope of work, but he also claimed to have completed the job and insisted on receiving the payment via wire transfer before leaving. However, the kitchen floor was unfinished, and one of the doors wouldn’t close because it wasn’t sanded properly. When asked to return and fix these issues, he said he was going on holiday and couldn’t come back. The main problem now is the floor level. None of the subfloor imperfections, such as bumps or dips, were addressed, resulting in a non-uniform floor with visible bumps. Additionally, he didn’t clean up the floor cuts, leaving us to pay £90 for someone else to clean up. This was far from what we expected.

Great service. Floor looks great, He really knows what he's doing. Would recommend.

Derek did a great job fitting engineered wood in my bedroom.

Derek did a great job on my office floor. He was quick in responding to messages, very punctual, quick, efficient, did a quality job and is a nice guy. Everything you want from someone doing work in your home. Update November 2023, 2 years from above review (repeat customer) Had Derek out again but this time to floor the whole flat. It was good to see that my previous comments still hold true. He was everything above and more. Took his time and paid close attention to detail and was receptive to my own thoughts and opinions while gently steering me to the correct solution when I didn’t have a clue. I would still highly recommend him and appreciate his efforts.

Derek was fantastic. Fitted underlay, laminate and beading to a very high standard despite wonky old floors! Also planed a door. He was very prompt and professional and went above and beyond waiting while I had to go out and get extra materials which was entirely my fault for not getting the wastage amount he recommended! Would not hesitate to use him again, highly recommended ✨

Great service. Replied to initial enquiry quickly, showed up on time and did a great job.

We had Derek in over two days to replace the carpet in our bedroom with laminate flooring, and to take up and replace the existing laminate downstairs in our living and dining rooms. He was quick to respond initially to give us a quote and arrange a date to do the work, and was always available to answer any additional questions we had, giving us guidance on what type of materials would be best as we were providing our own flooring. On the day, Derek arrived on time and even helped me with taking up the last of the carpet as I was running slightly behind. His work was quick as well as being neat and tidy, and had the bedroom completed in under two hours, including fitting the beading. On the second day, he again arrived on time and quickly set about taking up the old flooring. He helped with moving around the furniture in the rooms downstairs due to the lack of space in the house, and made the whole process incredibly easy. The living room, dining room and a small porch were completed by lunch time. We were incredibly happy with the high standard of Derek's work; we had some old, uneven skirting boards but Derek too the time to make sure any gaps between the skirting and the beading were filled, leaving it with a very professional finish. We have a spare bedroom that will needed flooring in the future and we wouldn't hesitate to use Derek again.
