It’s a rocky business, getting an EV charger. Demand outstrips the supply of installers. However, when Riviera turned up, they were prompt, efficient, friendly and helpful. I had some early issues but they responded to my queries promptly and politely. They accommodated some last minute changes and did a tidy and solid install.

Had my faulty EV charger replaced. Engineers arrived at specified time, very professional. Replaced the unit in very quick time and fully tested it begore they left. Excellent service.

Based on the photos we provided to Riviera some additional work was suggested. This turned out not to be necessary as a standard installation was sufficient. We look forward to our payment for this extra work being refunded soon. Thank you for great service.

The installer was professional and, importantly, upfront that it was his first time installing this particular charger model, so it might take a little longer than usual. I really appreciated the honesty from the start. I’d always prefer that to being given unrealistic expectations. The installation was completed to a high standard and I’m very pleased with the result.

As part of choosing an electric car from Motability to install an EV Charger, they arranged the installer. We were soon emailed by Riviera, and given a date with a window of 12 til 4. Daniel arrived at 12 on the dot. The whole process took him approx 90 mins, and needed our power to be switched off for about 10 minutes. Very pleased with the whole process, and Daniel was a credit to his employer.

He completed the installation within about 2 hours - partly because the cabling route was straightforward. He then helped me to install the Ohme app and get it set up to communicate with the charger. This was my first experience of a car charger, for an EV I have ordered. The staff at Riviera Electric were very helpful and informative. I had email and phone contact with Ian who advised me on the suitable charger for my house. Michelle phoned me to offer an early fitting as they had a cancellation. Dan, the electrician did a tidy and careful job. I am very pleased, all completed in four days from the initial order. A good firm all round, highly recommended. Unfortunately the charger developed a problem after a few months and Ohme decided to replace it Riviera did this on a Saturday morning at 0800. I was updated through the preceding few days as to time and date. Ian did the installation which was quick, efficient and best of all very tidily done and no mess. Ian tested the new charger and I used it the next day to gain from British Gas new Sunday cheap rate. I was very pleased with result of this second visit and recommend Riviera very highly.

Ordered 7 days before Christmas, the ordering process was very smooth and easy; I was surprised how quickly it was fitted with Daniel arriving at 12 noon on Christmas Eve and the fitting taking less than an hour and a half. I was able to track exactly when Daniel would arrive which was great as I was shopping that morning. He was very professional and gave me some helpful tips as well. I had an Ohm Epod (7.4kwh) installed by Riviera Electrical LTD team. They worked clean and tidy, managed to get the additional Fuse/RCD box fitted inside the meter cabinet by moving things around a little for a nice and tidy installation. The whole job was done in less than 4 hours and the charger is working perfectly. They also provide a tracking link via txt message so you have a reasonably good idea what time they will arrive so you don't wait all day, a great little detail that helps a lot in planning your day. Highly recommended!

Ian and Kai installed my Hypervolt EV charger with great care and efficiency. The cable was installed with minimal disturbance through the outside brickwork into the CU enclosure - with an extremely tidy installation. Ian routed the cable to the charger unit by choosing a pathway that minimised its view to the casual observer. Excellent handover and instruction to using the Hypervolt app. A very friendly and professional team. I strongly recommend Riviera Electrical.

Rieviera Electrical installed the charging point for my EV. The service was quick, efficient and courteous. When a problem arose in the gas supply to my boiler after the power supply had been interrupted the installer went out of his way to diagnose the problem and recify it. We needed hardwired and linked smoke/ heat detectors installed in our holiday let- new regulations. Ian attended promptly to quote for this, and the quote was cheaper, for a better solution, than another company. After he unfortunately had to cancel at short notice, he arranged another date to suit us. Excellent communication. Arrived quite promptly, and young electrician(sorry, didn’t catch name) worked efficiently all morning. All done as expected, neatly. Very happy with an efficient and competitively priced good solution that met our needs.

Great company for a car charger installation. I found the initial survey tricky as not good at uploading pictures for the assessment of the property and company too distant to do a live survey but, once we got over that hurdle, the installation was faultless and seamless.Turned up on time, mess free change of trip board and charger installation, given full instructions and departed -excellent.

Both the lads who came to do the installation did a very fast and efficiant job, so i am very pleased with there work. As for the company themselves i woud not recomend them as they just out and out ripped me off. Charging me for work that had not been done.The average time to carry out the install on there website is between 2 and 4 hours labour time. Because my install was not standard i was told there would be an extra charge of £196.00 for an extra 2 hours labour to do the install, but the whole istall only took 2 hours and 15 minuites. So i am not very happy with the company.

Having bought an older house we needed advice on improving our electrics. Someone visited a few days after making contact. Advice on what was practically needed given and a quote received within 24 hours. Work was carried out within 2 weeks and was as quoted. Work was done well and house was left clean and tidy. Cost was exactly as quoted. Would definitely use again.

The whole process in arranging and having my charger fitted went very smoothly. I think it would benefit from having a survey visit as mine was not simple due to where the meters are located and it was left to the fitter to work it out on arrival. However, the fitter did a great job!

I am in my seventies and recently moved house. Ian quickly responded to my request to check and sort out all the electrics which mainly needed updating. Kai and Dan worked hard fitting a new consumer unit, 30+ LED spotlights, LED strip lights, faulty plug sockets, fitting new lights and other jobs. All electrics were tested and a cooker hard directly hard wired to the consumer unit was discovered and new separate switch now installed to improve safety. I can now relax and feel confident that the house is electrically safe and secure. The relevant certificate arrived promptly and the final bill including fittings though fairly large represented very good competitive value for a thorough and highly professional job. Neat and tidy as well, I would use this friendly and helpful team again and recommend them to others. Since installation and job completion, I can also recommend the after sales service used to replace any faulty bulbs that did not last as long as expected. This has been as good as the service described in my original review.

Riviera did an EICR inspection and did a thorough job in good time for a very reasonable £180, which was the best of three quotes we received from local electricians. They even called on the way to see if we minded them coming a bit earlier than scheduled, which was fine by us! The guys also offered useful general advice in addition to the EICR. Recommended and will use them again.

We had our EV charging unit installed on the 24th, Dan our sparky was exceptional. After a short discussion we had the placings sorted out. In total it only took just over an hour. We now have plenty of cable in order to reach our car and the unit is hidden from view. We would recommend Riviera Electrical for you electrical needs.

Was told 15m cable allowed for. Told to mark a position in garage and we can fit the charger there. It was fitted 1m from fuse board as the fitter was instructed that was where it had to go and not where I had marked for it to go, which was 5m away

I received a prompt call from Ian, to discuss my needs and options for supplying and installing an EV charger. Shortly after the call I received a reasonable quote. Upon accepting the quote, Ian booked me in within an efficient timeframe to get the charger installed. The charger was installed neatly and efficiently. The following day I had a slight issue with the charger, after a quick call to Ian, he had someone round within the space of a couple hours to ensure the issue had been resolved. I can't fault the service I received, they actually arrived early and the work was carried out really quickly and to a high standard. There was good communication throughout to the point where the electrician was able to be flexible around my requirements when it cam eot turning off the supply for a short time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for any tasks.

Had these put 4 spots in a bathroom with an extractor fan and a cable and switch to a boiler. I was charged £650, then sent several texts demanding another £160, that’s £810. I’ve had two separate quotes for the same job, £250’ that’s £560 overcharged. Seems this company’s preys on pensioners and the uninitiated. Beware.

Ian and the boys are absolutely brilliant. We'd been let down by so many tradesman when trying to get a quote for a rewire. We had one come out who quoted and started the job but it became clear very quickly that he wasn't up to the job. We contacted Riviera and Ian came out the same day. He gave us honest advice, potentially saving us 1000s by telling us that we didn't need a full rewire after all and got a quote out to us the same evening. Ian and the lads reconfigured our existing circuits, added new circuits for our new kitchen and the lounge and extended a lighting circuit all for a fair and reasonable cost. They work with me to fit jobs in on days that suit me, charge fair prices, come as promised at the agreed time. Couple of times contacted me to see if they could come earlier due to previous job finishing early. I would use again.

A man who sends a text confirming each visit, and who arrives on time. A fully itemised quote, which actually went down after I had accepted it, when Ian realised that with a little extra re-wiring of our existing installation, he did not need to supply and fit a circuit breaker which he had previously specified. On the day, a neat job, with even outdoor drilling dust swept up before leaving. Within a few hours, meticulously completed documentation. Contrast this with two other local firms offered the job, one who had been recommended, but couldn't even be bothered to quote, despite being chased, and another who offered sky-high prices on a vague and poorly laid out quote running to no more than half a dozen lines. I will have no hesitation in coming back to Riviera Electrical for any future work.

I had an Ohme electric car charger fitted in April 2022 and Riviera Electrical were the local fitters for Ohme. As expected, the existing consumer unit was not suitable and so Ian suggested changing the consumer unit at the same time instead of fitting a smaller separate unit just for the charger circuit (as this would be more cost effective in the long term). I was pleased with the reasonable cost of all the work (as other firms had higher quotes). The work was carried out efficiently and looks very neat (even the wiring inside the new consumer unit) - and I've had no issues when charging the car for several hours straight.

A great team of very professional and courteous staff. I needed a safety certificate for the electrics and was recommended to have the pre letting inspection which was undertaken very quickly and was very comprehensive. This identified that the consumer unit was not compliant with current standards and some light switches were not earthed. When they came back to do this work they were very efficient and checked that I was happy with all aspects of their work. I am very happy to recommend them.

Couldn't fault the Riviera team. I needed an elec safety cert, they did a full inspection, carried out the necessary repairs quickly and carefully. The price was extremely reasonable, and they were always prompt, covid-safe, and pleasant to deal with.

He provided email & text confirmation of the booking, and updates regarding his time of arrival. Ian arrived at my premises early, did a very thorough and professional inspection and within 5 minutes of the inspection being completed I received the inspection report and invoice by email. Really cant thank Ian enough. came exactly on time, carried out all the work we had discussed, replacing my extremely old outdated fuse box, and connecting a new cooker and sorted out electrics for a new shower in the bathroom.
