D.E.C has recently replaced all heating units in our block of flats, a service that was carried out with competence and completed to the agreed deadline. I took the opportunity to upgrade the heating unit in my flat, and I can't recommend them highly enough. The pricing was fair and transparent, and communication was easy and seamless. Great firm, came out and swapped over an 40A Single Pole 6kA B Curve MCB that I had purchased which solved the issue with the shower. Decent response, very good rates. Have been trying to settle the account, however, very rarely does anyone answer messages left on answerphone. I’ll persevere in settling my account.

The engineer (Paul) was SO helpful! He took his time, he explained things to us, and he had an amazing "can-do" attitude in terms of figuring out how to make the changes we want to make in a practical and cost-effective way, that still will make our house look the way we want it in terms of lighting.

We used DEC electrical service 5 years ago when we bought our letting property, which requires EICR and which involved a large amount of remedial works, that were put right by one of the firm’s excellent electrician, Paul, who did a very good and reliable job. At the same time, we also had various works done by DEC at our own property by other electricians, like Bob and James, who all did very professional job. Ever since, DEC proved to us that it is able to provide the 1st class technology as well as a reliable service. The electricians are all knowledgeable, experienced and reliable. Being an electrician himself, the owner of the firm, Alex Eadle is intelligent and efficient, who is capable of giving advice when dealing with enquiries from public right from the beginning. As a result, we decided to use DEC again recently when EICR was due and for a few electrical works for our own property required by our home improvements company for safety regulations. Alex Eadle dealt with my requests promptly with confidence. What also impressed me was that Alex was able to advise me as when we had our previous EICR done by them nearly 5 years ago, which proves how good records DEC maintains. We felt that we are just so fortunate to have DEC nearby in Oxford that we can trust and rely on.

Just had new radiators fitted excellent service. Friendly engineers neat and tidy all done in half a day. Very pleased with result.

We have a big house, 250years old, and we had to have a full overhaul of our electricity installation with a new fuse board installed, new smoke alarms everywhere and other miscelenious changes. Not a small job! All was done in one day by 2 electricians, one with 23 years experience and the other, a young apprentice who seemed eager to learn under the guidance of the older one. They were both efficent, professional, friendly and polite. Everything is working fine and we are quite happy with the work: We certainly feel safer now. We would highly recommend DEC.

I was extremely impressed with the level of customer service provided by D.E.C. when installing our Hive thermostat recently. The installation was actioned swiftly and the engineer who attended our property (Lee) was friendly and explained throughout installation, which set me and my partner's minds at ease. There was an issue with the performance of the thermostat initially but Alex arranged a re-visit at no extra cost to ensure this issue was resolved. Thermostat now appears to be working as required and, as a result, we are much happier with our investment. D.E.C. are easy to get hold of and, once through, treated us with the upmost respect rather than palming us off. Would 100% recommend their service and would use again. Jack

I manage a development for retirement properties and I know I can always rely on Alex and his team of skilled engineers to provide a competitive quote and to carry out any work that is needed. Communication is not great. Especially around the price was not clear: when quote was sent to us by email / on paper, they did indicate price without VAT (I personally don`t like companies who do not indicate the total price and I have to calculate the VAT), but when the quote was given over the phone for an additional work they did not mention that price excluded material and VAT, so I had to pay nearly twice as much as originally told. Sadly, the additional work (plastering the wall) was not neat. When this was highlighted to them, I received no apology, all blame was on me. They did not complete the certification of the electric work only upon request. The rest of the work was reasonable but in view of the above, I feel that they are overpriced.

Installed new electric radiator recently in my home. Excellent service. Great communication and easy to work with. Did what they said they'd do. Would use again.

DEC have recently replaced all the corridor lights at Mill Stream Court in Abingdon with energy efficient LED fittings. The work was carried out by Tim who worked very efficiently and tidy. I found DEC very quick to respond to initial request for a quote and the quote was very reasonable for the amount of work involved and the new LED lights look fantastic in all the corridors and my residents are very happy with them. I would certainly recommend DEC for any electrical work that is required.

DEC carried out and Installed a smart lighting system in my property in Bicester, the process from quotation to works booking was really straightforward and efficient, thanks for a great all round experience.

DEC saved me when I had an electrical emergency during the lockdown and it was difficult to find anyone who was prepared to come out. Even with their staff on furlough the boss came out himself and sorted the problem. He got back to me promptly to do a couple of non-urgent jobs as soon as restrictions eased a little, and then sorted out the replacement of a faulty new appliance with speed. Very good service and pleasant to deal with.
