The trip went on my board tonight and I checked the board trying to bring the power back on with no success. I called Nathan who was travelling at the time and he said that he would call back and I was to send a few pictures of the board. He called me and asked me to follow a simple switching procedure and how to specifically reset the RCD breaker over the phone. This worked and had power to all circuits. This seems really simple but the point is he helped without needing to come out and charge for a call out fee! I really appreciate his honesty / integrity, values, great personal qualities. There are people out there who would have not done this and booked a call out fee. Nathan you have a customer in the future should I need help and thank you.

They installed a new electrical point in my garage, carried out an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), and took care of several electrical fixes around the house. Nathan came to our home today to help resolve lighting issues in our kitchen. The appointment was set up very quickly and Nathan called to let me know he would be attending with his daughter, Ella , who was doing work experience for the day. I received an update this morning to advise Nathan and Ella were en route. Communication was excellent! Nathan resolved the issues quickly whilst explaining everything clearly for both me, and Ella for her work experience. Just to confirm that Nathan, Aaron and the team were first class throughout. I needed an emergency electrician pretty quickly, since the project was urgent and needed to be dealt with that day! We had an electrical emergency last month on a Sunday evening when one of our two RCDs went and wouldn't reset. Nathan at First Call responded by mobile, gave us some advice and then went to his store to get parts when the problem remained. He kept us informed and was able to reset the breaker. I first called Nathan at First Call when our electrics suddenly went late one Saturday afternoon. Even though he was out to dinner with his family he came round a few hours later and fixed the problem. I’ve used First Call electricians many times for a variety of work including certifying the house ready for selling, changing light fittings, installing external lights as well as fixing issues with light switches, sockets and extractor fans. Nathan responds quickly when contacted and it’s obvious that he aims to provide the swiftest possible service to the highest level. Nathan and Lewis recently came to change some light fittings and install external lights. Lewis had a hell of a job doing this as there was some dodgy workmanship previously. There was a big hole in the ceiling and Lewis went above and beyond my expectations to fix this and make sure that the light looked lovely once installed. We’d also bought some lights which did not come with the appropriate fittings and Lewis had to use his experience to work out how best to adapt the lights to fit on to the wall. He did all of this with a smile and a joke when I fully expected him (and wouldn’t have blamed him) to give up. Most importantly both Nathan and Lewis are genuine, kind and trustworthy which for me is really important because I’ve had so many bad experiences with tradesmen before.

Nathan is professional, reliable and courteous. I had an issue with my downlights as well as my outdoor spike lights and he attended site promptly, identified the causes, and rectified the faults. The quality of his work is excellent. Everything was tidied up afterwards, including the surrounding to the light which he ensured was left tidy. We rang yesterday morning after losing power to our lighting and sockets despite the switchboard still showing power to all outlets. We sent some photos of this over to Nathan and within 10 minutes he had got back to us with the solution and advice on what to do if this happened again. We lost power to all plug sockets in the house last night. Called this morning and received great advice on possible resolutions before requiring an engineer to attend. Issue was not electrical but a drip under kitchen sink causing trip for the sockets circuit. Fantastic advice from First Call which of course saved us the expense of an electrician (although I think we will still need a plumber to resolve the leak). We recently had Nathan & team round to do the electricity for our garden – we had 2 extra outdoor sockets put in, strip lights around the flower beds, spotlights on the walls and spike lights in the flower bed. What a fabulous bunch First Call are! They helped me out of a spot created by a shoddy electrician who decided he didn't want to complete the job and cancelled late on a Sunday for a job the next morning. I called Nathan straight away and explained my problem and by Tuesday lunchtime he and (also very friendly) Lewis had come to the rescue!! In iust over 3 hrs they sorted what the previous 'tradesman' had stalled for 3 weeks to complete: a new cooker hood needed realigning with the existing vent (necessitating some fiddling about and coring the vent...despite previous bloke leaving electrical feed a bit too close to make this easy) , relocating power to above my new kitchen cabinets (where I really wanted my transformers...not where previous bloke decided I wanted them - underneath!) and installing my LED underlighting. And all in a very tight window of time before the rest of the kitchen was being completed!! Sorry for such a detailed review, but I really wanted to show just how responsive, reactive, problem-solving and just, plain professional Nathan and his crew are. Don't hesitate to call him, they are old-school, proper tradesmen and really nice, helpful chaps to boot! They're my new heros and I couldn't be happier with the work they've done. We had an emergency situation during Easter, because the water heater stopped working and in the blink of an eye Nathan was able to diagnose what and why is not working and boom ... after 5 minutes everything that needed was repaired and we have warm water again. I have been using Nathan's service for around the past 7 months for different projects incuding adding sockets, lighting, changing light switches and repairing old wiring around the house. Was due to have our loft boarded out in a weeks time and thought it would be best to have some lighting fitted first to make their job easier. They arrived on time were very clean in their work and apologised for not removing the empty packaging which was our responsibility and which I recycled.
