Asked Tom to disconnect a light for me in the garage, and also replace my old shower. He was reliable, affordable, showed up when he said he would, communicated well and clearly, did an efficient job, was professional and friendly and even tried to clean up after himself. The shower itself is a blessing of an upgrade. Very happy to use him as a regular electrician at home.

I messaged Tom in the evening and by the following lunchtime he was round to fix my faulty light switch. Communication was excellent, work tidy and efficient.

Tom arrived on time as arranged!! Great start! He carried out our EICR inspection efficiently and thoroughly and made helpful recommendations. He explained what needed to be done and I left him to complete the work. He gave feedback after to explain what the result of the inspection was and his recommendations. I would definitely consider using Tom again for the electrical needs of our Scout hut and also for my own domestic requirements. Thanks Tom 👍🏼

I had an electrical fault which the previous electrician was unable to fix. I therefore contacted Tom to see if he was able to help. He then came round and managed to fix the fault promptly. I got Tom to come back round for another job to install a ring doorbell, TV aerial and update my consumer unit. All jobs were carried out very efficiently and everything was left really tidy afterwards. Tom is by far the best electrician I’ve used and I will continue to use him for all future jobs at my home. Absolutely brilliant work!

Tom checked over our whole house and produced an EICR. He was very attentive and spent a lot of time investigating. He then came and replaced our old consumer unit and replaced the kitchen down lights. Tom was pleasant to have around the house, and we are very pleased with his work. Will be returning for future electrical concerns. Thanks for your help, Tom.

Tom was polite, efficient and did a great job for us (lighting, replacement fuse box and installation of new thermostats for underfloor heating). Would highly recommend!

Excellent job.

Excellent service and price

Really wish we could give Tom more than 5* cannot praise & thank him enough. In January we had major probs with our electrics.A friend of ours a retired electrician came, did some checks & said we would prob need a rewire, not what we wanted to hear as we knew NO electricians🙄. As many people do, we looked @ reviews. We tried ringing Tom but wouldn't connect,so text him. He contacted us & apologised, but he was climbing Kilimanjaro (great pics!) We always get 3quotes,but decided to go with Tom,as we just felt we were in safe hands. He came round, did a full inspection & confirmed the rewire, he also made some suggestions (so pleased he did) which we hadn't thought about. We decided to go away for 4days while Tom & colleagues got stuck in. Even whilst we were away he rang & asked if we would like our ceiling lights in 2 bedrooms to be centred (both were closer the window) & we agreed as we meant to do it last time we decorated 🫣. We arrived home dreading what we were coming home to😬,but we needn't have worried,Tom & his team did the rewire with utmost care & attention. We highly recommend him, he's SO helpful & friendly, we would never use any other electrician. If you are wary about reviews (as we were), we don't mind being contacted via Tom

Excellent service happy with the job you did highly recommended I definitely will use his service again

I had a ceiling light and socket changed and Tom did a great job, came on time and is very friendly and trustworthy. He also helped me with my doorbell which I couldn’t figure out how to work. Prices very reasonable, responsive to messages. Overall highly recommend Payne Electrical Services.

Where 3 electricians failed to restore power, Tom succeeded. The other guys tried to rip us off but he saved us money. Honestly, the best tradesmen We've had in, totally professional. Five stars isn't quite enough for this guy. We wouldn't hesitate to contact him again. Absolutely brilliant!

Tom is a very professional guy. Did the job quickly and very well. I will use him again without hesitation

Following an EICR at my newly purchased house in Urmston, Manchester it was advised it needed a full rewire (the electrics were 40 years old and we expected this to be the case) Tom came round and quoted and we choose him to carry out the work. Full rewire including new fusboard. Excellent work in quite a difficult house to rewire due to age. Will definitely be using Payne Electrical (Tom) when we require an electrician in the future. Tom is a really great guy. A couple of years ago I was struggling to find somebody to do an electrical safety certificate for me. A god friend of mine who is a heating engineer suggested Tom. No problem, he came round and did a thorough job at a. very fair price. Recently Tom came round and fitted a cooking appliance for me at very short notice, which I appreciate. I have recommended Tom to both family and friends many times He recently did the electrical work required for both a kitchen and bathroom for my sister in law. Tom did a fantastic job. He was able to provide the work quickly, remained professional throughout, clear communication and competitively priced

Tom was recommended on the Urmston Facebook page as someone reliable to help sort our oven. At first he thought it was working as we were getting some heat from the grill but we found a few days later it still wasn’t heating up. Tom came back and spent time on the phone with the manufacturer to figure it out and get it sorted. It’s now fixed and at a reasonable price, appreciated him returning and persevering to get it done. Can’t ask for more than that. Would recommend.

I needed an electrician for a few different jobs. Tom's reviews were that good that I decided to wait for him to return from his travels to get the jobs done. He did not disappoint, his work was thorough and precise, and he came back a few days later promptly to follow up on a minor issue. Will use again!

Really great work from Tom with a full rewire of my property - new lights, power, consumer unit, smoke and heat detectors etc... Job split into first and second fix given the size of the overall refurbishment. Quite a delay between the two because of issues on my side with other suppliers, though no issues from Tom. Happily recommend and I'll use again if I decide to get any other work done. Graham

Tom fitted new kitchen lights and fittings, removing all the old units as well as replacing a broken wall socket. Tom did an excellent job, was on time, polite and tidy. Will definately be using him from now on.

Can’t recommend Tom enough first time I’ve used him. From the moment I rang him he said he will be 5 minutes and then literally he was. He was very knowledgeable and completed all works to a high standard. We will have no hesitation in using him again.

This is my second time using Tom at Payne Electrical Services. 1st time replacing all my downstairs sockets, light switches and adding a few additional ones. 2nd time following a builder accidentally cutting through a mains wire leaving us with no working sockets. On both occasions Tom has been polite, highly professional and ultimately delivered work of a very high quality not to mention at a very reasonable price. No doubt I will continue to use his services in future.

Tom came highly recommended to us by a relation where he rewired their new kitchen. He did a number of jobs for us and we found his workmanship to be perfect and he was prompt, knowledgeable and communicative. We wouldn’t have any issue in using his services again, and we have already recommended him to others as I am sure that he will do a great job.

Tom was communicative, prompt, did a range of electrical tasks including socket installation, wiring up fans, light relocation and installation of an outdoor socket. Cannot speak highly enough of Tom. I’m delighted with his work. He keeps in good contact by phone text and email as required. Does what he says he’ll do, at the time he promised to do it, and does it with a smile. Can’t ask for much more. I’ve had two sockets put in a garden building and a new circuit board put in. He was so patient with me while I changed my mind a few times about where to put the sockets! His work is really neat and tidy. Tom explains what needs doing very well, so it’s clear what he’ll do and why it needs doing. Very honest and trustworthy. Highly recommend.

Tom was a delight to work with right from first making contact before Christmas. I am not a property person and when an issue came up with a relatives property to bring the electrical system up to standard, I was at a loss what to do. Thankfully from showing him the condition report he was able to advise the remedial work needed to bring it up to standard without causing too much disruption to the property. He advised a new consumer unit and fitted it neatly, promptly and labelled everything. Also one of the storage heaters was non functional and the rest were dated so he was able to replace them all with electric radiators he recommended. Again all done neatly, promptly with all rubbish cleared away after. Nice, friendly helpful guy!

Excellent service very friendly. Cheers Tom.
