Big thanks to Tom and his team. They completely rewired our house, replacing an old, dangerous fusebox with a new consumer unit, and rewired multiple circuits. They also did gas and mains water earthing, installed a heated mirror and downlights in the bathroom, moved and combined several light switches, added a large number of new sockets (including an outside socket), fitted two outside security lights, and ran network cabling throughout the property. Communication throughout was excellent. We made a number of changes and add-ons to the original quote along the way, and Tom handled every one of them professionally and without fuss. The quality of the work is fantastic, everything was left clean and tidy, and the pricing was very fair for the sheer amount of work involved. Couldn't ask for a better electrician. Highly recommended.

Asked Tom to disconnect a light for me in the garage, and also replace my old shower. As per usual for a large piece of work I asked for three quotes. Tom supplied the most professional quote and was also the most competitive . The work was completed very professionally and Tom was also so very polite and tidy. He even installed my son’s dartboard in the summer house free of charge. I had an electrical fault which the previous electrician was unable to fix. I therefore contacted Tom to see if he was able to help. He then came round and managed to fix the fault promptly. I got Tom to come back round for another job to install a ring doorbell, TV aerial and update my consumer unit. All jobs were carried out very efficiently and everything was left really tidy afterwards. Tom is by far the best electrician I’ve used and I will continue to use him for all future jobs at my home. Really wish we could give Tom more than 5* cannot praise & thank him enough. In January we had major probs with our electrics.A friend of ours a retired electrician came,did some checks & said we would prob need a rewire,not what we wanted to hear as we knew NO electricians🙄. As many people do, we looked @ reviews. We tried ringing Tom but wouldn't connect,so text him. He contacted us & apologised,but he was climbing Kilimanjaro (great pics!) We always get 3quotes,but decided to go with Tom,as we just felt we were in safe hands. He came round,did a full inspection & confirmed the rewire, he also made some suggestions (so pleased he did) which we hadn't thought about. We decided to go away for 4days while Tom & colleagues got stuck in. Even whilst we were away he rang & asked if we would like our ceiling lights in 2 bedrooms to be centred (both were closer the window) & we agreed as we meant to do it last time we decorated 🫣. We arrived home dreading what we were coming home to😬,but we needn't have worried,Tom & his team did the rewire with utmost care & attention. Following an EICR at my newly purchased house in Urmston, Manchester it was advised it needed a full rewire (the electrics were 40 years old and we expected this to be the case) Tom came round and quoted and we choose him to carry out the work. Tom is a really great guy. A couple of years ago I was struggling to find somebody to do an electrical safety certificate for me. A god friend of mine who is a heating engineer suggested Tom. At first he thought it was working as we were getting some heat from the grill but we found a few days later it still wasn’t heating up. Tom came back and spent time on the phone with the manufacturer to figure it out and get it sorted. It’s now fixed and at a reasonable price, appreciated him returning and persevering to get it done. Tom was punctual, polite, hardworking and professional. He was keen to discuss our needs and offer advice as to the best solutions. This included changing single sockets to double sockets, adding new double sockets, installing two new light fittings and a shaver point and installing a new fuse box. He was very knowledgeable and completed all works to a high standard. We will have no hesitation in using him again.
This is my second time using Tom at Payne Electrical Services. 1st time replacing all my downstairs sockets, light switches and adding a few additional ones. 2nd time following a builder accidentally cutting through a mains wire leaving us with no working sockets. On both occasions Tom has been polite, highly professional and ultimately delivered work of a very high quality not to mention at a very reasonable price. No doubt I will continue to use his services in future.
Tom came highly recommended to us by a relation where he rewired their new kitchen. Tom was a delight to work with right from first making contact before Christmas. I am not a property person and when an issue came up with a relatives property to bring the electrical system up to standard, I was at a loss what to do. Thankfully from showing him the condition report he was able to advise the remedial work needed to bring it up to standard without causing too much disruption to the property. He advised a new consumer unit and fitted it neatly, promptly and labelled everything. Also one of the storage heaters was non functional and the rest were dated so he was able to replace them all with electric radiators he recommended. Again all done neatly, promptly with all rubbish cleared away after. Nice, friendly helpful guy!

We were in need of a brand new consumer unit(fuse box), replacement sockets and new sockets as well as an earth connection to our gas and water mains. We went with Thomas after looking on google and really don’t think we could have found anyone better!! He was quick to respond, on time for consultation and the both days he worked 9-5 flat out on two very hot days! I can not praise the work of Thomas any higher. He is always very responsive and true to his word. His work is outstanding and he does an unbelievably quick, clean and tidy job, just to your requirements. He fitted some sockets in our kitchen and store room, repaired two extractor fans in the downstair toilet and upstairs bathroom, and did a full electrical check of the house. You couldn't see a dust or scratch after he finished his job. He is very polite, friendly and professional. His prices are good value for money.
