Alban Electrical Services

Nick and Ryan are great. They are efficient and do what they say they’re going to do!

Great, speedy service from Nick and his team! Highly recommend!

Nick and the Team were brilliant, I needed urgent help with electrical issues in our house we moved into and they were there same day. Will be asking them back to sort the rest out!!

We have used Nick and his team for various electrical jobs in our house over the last few years, and have always found him and his team to be polite, reliable and efficient. The standard of their work is very good and we would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Excellent service and very nice electrician. Was happy to climb up in the loft to sort the bathroom light out. Got on very well with the dog!

Excellent work, friendly, professional and reliable

Excellent communication and very professional.

Nick was brilliant - fast, effective, high quality and reasonably priced service.

Nick and Ryan did an excellent job. They installed two outdoor lights and were very careful with the wiring and positioning. The finished result looks excellent - to be honest it's difficult to imagine how it could have been any better. They also left everything very clean and tidy afterwards. They also installed two additional double sockets in a room that previously had only one. Again, the work was done to a very high standard. Everything was left clean and tidy, and the opening in the wall was carefully made good with bonding coat plaster. The final job was fixing our bathroom extractor fan. They opened it up, gave it a thorough clean and secured it properly to the wall, which completely fixed the rattling problem. Communication throughout was excellent. I'll definitely be contacting Alban Electrical Services again for future work.

Really fantastic. Nick is friendly, conscientious and super reliable. I would highly recommend him.

Excellent service

I've used Nick and his team for installations and emergency call-outs, and they're always responsive, friendly and professional - highly recommended.

Excellent

Reliable, tidy and prompt.

Nick at St Albans Electrical Services did a stunning job on what would have been a relatively small job to him, but for us, a life saver! Our relatively new washing machine had part of its wire destroyed & I dreaded that to mean yet another new replacement! I contacted Nick who came to have a look & reassured me that it was redeemable. As soon as he was able to, he returned with replacement wiring & connector & our washing machine was back in working order in no time at affordable cost. Definitely no job too small for him but a great relief for us!

Very happy with the service - they were punctual, polite and thorough. Would definitely use again.

Nick was quick to come out when our hot tub installation went wrong. All done, we’re up and running.

Nick was friendly and efficient. Great job!

Nick is brilliant - reliable, reasonably priced, considerate and very tidy and has sorted out all our electrical issues very efficiently!

We recently asked Alban Electrical services to replace our kitchen halogen spotlights with LEDS and also to repair/replace a bathroom light and integrated fan. The job was completed quickly, professionally and to a high standard. Nick was great, explained the job/works thoroughly and was extremely thoughtful and tidy. We would highly recommend Nick and his team and will use them again in the future.

Nick and his team are highly professional, communicate clearly and always tidy up afterwards. I’ve used them for years and would highly recommend.

Great communication and service. Nick was very professional, quick and executed the task to a high standard. Will be using them going forward for any electrical tasks!

Nick Heather and his team have been carrying out work for us for at least ten years. They are very professional, excellent workers who always tidy up completely before they leave.

Nick was able to fit in our appointment quickly to restore power to the downstairs lights. He identified and remedied our issue extremely quickly and professionally.

Nick was very diligent in his approach to a relatively small job, which involved moving some sockets. His work was top quality. Would definitely recommend 👍

We have always found Nick and the team to be reliable and responsive.

Been using Nick and his team at AES for many years now. Speedy, expert service. Friendly and good value too. No hesitation in recommending them.

Great, professional & honest service from Alban Electrical Services who did a great job of replacing halogen lights for LEDs in our kitchen. Would definitely recommend them!

Alban Electrical Services moved a boiler switch for me to a safer location. As always they did a very neat quick and professional job. Thank you

Nick Heather was recommended to me by a friend, who has used his Company a number of times and found him and his team to be reliable, very knowledgeable and professional in their electrical work and services. I can now also say that I would definitely recommend Nick's Company and have found his work to be neat and tidy and he takes enormous pride in doing a great job. He and his team are polite and courteous and are excellent at their job and also really enjoy problem solving and providing the best end results for the customer. In short, I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Nick and his team and please do give him a try as I'm confident you will not be disappointed with the outcome.

Very efficient and came back to carry out some extra work. Had some good advice

Nick is a true professional and I would have no hesitation in recommending him. He and his team - Ryan, James and Jack - completed the electrical work at our residential property as part of a wider building project. They were reliable and worked incredibly hard throughout their time with us. It was a pleasure having them in the house. They were always friendly, polite and tidied up as they went. Nick was exceptionally patient and kind in answering all my questions and he restored my confidence after experiencing some problems in the project. Nick clearly takes great pride in his work, taking the time to explain how the existing electrics functioned and how the new work integrated with them. His communication before, during and after the work was excellent. I cannot recommend Nick and his team highly enough and I will only approach Nick for any future electrical work

5 stars 🌟 is just not enough for Nick, Ryan and student James. The service they provide is top notch. They are honest, reliable and I would never use another firm again for anything electrical. I moved into a very old house with terrible wiring and Nick and his crew sorted it all out for me and also fitted extra sockets where I needed them. The lights outside look great. We first met Nick in 2006 when he fitted a floodlight at our old house. We have used his services many times since. Thank you Nick and Ryan. You are the best Sparks in St Albans 💯 %

We’ve used Nick (Alban Electrical) for over 10 years for a wide range of jobs, both large and small, including internal and external lighting. He’s always quick to respond, highly knowledgeable, and consistently delivers a thorough, high-quality job. Thanks Nick and team!

Nick and his team are reliable, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Everything I would want in a tradesman. Would recommend.

We've used on a number of occasions for jobs around our home, and have always been very happy with the work. A very professional service every time, from quoting for costs, to delivery, including properly tidying up after the job. Highly recommend for helping out with any electrical needs.

Really good guys who sorted out a tricky RCD tripping issue for me. Very thorough and professional. Definitely can recommend them.

Thank you for such amazing services from Nick and the team at Alban Electrical Services. On 2nd Marc 2026 ( Monday) one of his team ( Ryan ) at Alban Electrical Services did an absolute fantastic job installing new indoor socket in the kitchen and new outdoor socket, then he installed outdoor sensor light. I would definitely, DEFINITELY 100% recommend this company to anyone. Thank you and definitely use this in the future any work to be done. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great job! Friendly and efficient service.

I had an emergency and was given Alban Electrical's details through a family recommendation. Nick called me back with the hour, gave helpful advice on the phone and had an electrician over within 3 hours of us speaking. Ryan was professional, empathetic to our situation and quick to resolve a problem that another unscrupulous "tradesperson" had tried to charge me thousands for. Expectations were managed clearly and honestly while he investigated the problem, and fortunately it was a swift resolution. Can't thank Nick and the team enough and would highly recommend Alban Electrial.

Nick was efficient and fairly priced, and we're very pleased with the work.

Very happy with the service from Alban Electrical Services. A great job fixing problems and always responsive

Friendly quick aervice

Very professional, highly knowledgeable and excellent service

Very fast,efficient,polite and top quality

Excellent prompt professional service at sensible price. Highly recommend.

Excellent and prompt service

Amazing service – I would highly recommend. Nick came over first to see the property and discuss the works. He was very helpful in researching and proposing the most suitable fan for our bathroom, and also helped us fix a few lights at the same time. He issued a clear fee proposal and carried out the works professionally and on time. I will definitely be using his services again in the future.

We recently used Nick and the team to complete a full rewire and upgrade of our house. They did a great job - professional and friendly service and completed on time. Would definitely recommend and use again

Nick and his colleagues (Joseph and Ryan) have successfully completed two jobs (large and small) at my property in StAlbans. I am a landlord with several properties and can recommend without hesitation, Alban Electrical Services Ltd.

Alban Electrical Services has helped us over a good few years with our electrical problems. As ever, last week our problem was dealt with immediately and Ryan who attended explained what the problem was and the remedy. The works were booked within two days and Ryan returned to fix our problem. The work was carried out efficiently and professionally and Ryan was very respectful of our property and tidied up before he left. I would never have any hesitation in recommending AES and indeed have done so to neighbours.Sue Nash

We used Alban Electrical to replace a bathroom extractor fan, replace smoke alarms and make some plugs safe. We're pleased with the work done. Nick and the team are reliable, polite, punctual and responsive. I would gladly recommend and use again for future work.

Nick and the team are fantastic; completely reliable, efficient and good value for money regardless of whether the job is large or small. Would happily recommend and use again. David - St Albans

I couldn't recommend Alban Electrical Services more highly. If ever we contact Nick with an electrical issue, he gets back to us straight away and the workmanship is always very efficient and professional. Nothing is too much trouble - thank you Nick!

Excellent professional, friendly service. Very easy to arrange an appointment for work to be done, clear pricing and good communication throughout.

Nick has done an excellent job fitting the electrics in our sauna. He is reliable and provides a great service. We will always call on him for our electrics in the future.

Between Nick and Ryan they've helped us out across two properties, from emergency call-outs (prompt and sensibly priced) to a full fuse-box re-fit. Would happily recommend them to friends and neighbours.

We’ve used Alban Electrical Services on a few occasions now - for our EICR inspection, to run an ethernet cable, to replace all switches and sockets, and to repair a broken ring that was picked up during the EICR. The work of replacing the sockets and switches turned out to be much trickier than expected, as the house had clearly had a lot of poor electrical work done over the years. Nick and Ryan took the time to sort everything out properly and safely, rather than just doing the bare minimum. Nick and Ryan have both been excellent every time they’ve been here. They’re polite, professional and clearly very knowledgeable. Ryan even pointed out a suspected gas leak while he was here, which turned out to be genuine. We’re incredibly grateful he noticed it and spoke up. Communication with Nick is always easy - he responds quickly, turns up when he says he will, and all paperwork and certificates are sent over promptly. We’ve been really impressed with the quality of their work and the level of care they show. Would happily recommend Alban Electrical Services to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy electrician.

We have used Alban Electrical for 6 years now and always found them to be reliable, honest and excellent workers. Thoroughly recommend them.

Prompt response to telephone enquiry. Arrived on time, reviewed work required gave clear advice and recommendation and fitted new replacement electrical fitting. Excellent service and sensible price.

Fantastic, friendly and efficient service, and great communication.

Installed a new consumer box and new cable for an induction hob. Professional, thorough, helpful and friendly. Left everything in a clean state. A good job all round. Definitely recommend.

Nick and his team are great, would highly recommend.

Very happy with the work done by Nick and his team at Alban Electrical Services in re-wiring our kitchen and bathroom and doing the kitchen and dining room lighting. Super tidy, reliable, punctual helpful and polite and made an effort to work with other contractors involved to dovetail the works efficiently. Voted team most likely to take some of the stress out of the project! Thanks 🙂

Nick is very reliable and responsive. His work is excellent and I would recommend him.

Recommend by a friend and we received an excellent service. Timely and professional. Work carried out when stated and completed to a very high standard. Easy to deal with electronically with estimates and invoices. Good value for money.

Nick and the team are always punctual and professional and we trust that they will do a great job for us. I would highly recommend.

Have used Nick and his team a couple of times for different small electrical jobs. Have always been really helpful and easy to arrange. Fair price and a good job done. Many thanks, will definitely use again for future jobs.

High quality service. Would definitely recommend.

Nick offers a great service - was very communicative and professional before coming to the house, and was very professional and friendly when he was here. Nick was also very flexible and helped us out at very short notice - would recommend

Reliable, professional, friendly and fairly priced

Quick, efficient and a pleasure to deal with Nick and his team; also thought fairly priced.

I contacted Alban Electrical Services recently with a list of small electrical jobs, having read other positive reviews. Nick arranged a visit promptly, gave us a thorough assessment of the issues and a quote, then arranged a follow up visit to complete the work - all done swiftly and at a fair price. We will definitely be using them again.

Nick and his team are brilliant! We have used them on several occasions over the past 10 years for both big and small jobs, within the house and external garden/patio work. The work has always been excellent and always competitively priced. Nick, Jozsef and Ryan are a pleasure to have around: professional, courteous, responsive and punctual. We recommend them highly.

Very pleased with the service and workmanship - Nick and Brian were professional, competent and friendly. Will not hesitate to use them again.

I’ve used Nick before and contacted again for a bathroom fan. Service was excellent. Nick visited to assess the job and provide a firm estimate. I accepted and work was completed within the week. This was a bathroom fan. They drilled, made mess and cleaned it all up. All of it. Absolutely excellent work. Nick is the best St A electrician! 6* review.

Prompt response to an urgent situation. Diagnosed and resolved the issue swiftly and effectively. Very professional service. Would highly recommend.

A very professional service, a job well done. Thank you Nick and team

Thorough inspection and follow up work done professionally and to a high standard. Reasonably priced. Very approachable and I highly recommend this company to undertake electrical work.

Nick and his whole team are our trusted go to electricians for big jobs and small. Really straight forward and easy to work with, plain speaking and consistently deliver high quality work. A contractor we can trust, which is worth its weight..

Have had Nick do a couple of jobs for me now and am very pleased with what he did + would definitely use again. Thanks.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nick Heather of Alban Electrical. He listened to my changing wiring needs and was very accommodating. He made it all come together in a calm and confident manner.

Very happy with the work done to rewire our kitchen. Great communication and finish done to high standard. Thank you!

Very good service, polite and effective.

Very happy with the service. Nick was able to problem-solve our requests, he & his team came when scheduled and they did a great job.

Highly recommend Alban Electrical Services. Nick fully assessed our electrical issues/requirements, very knowlegable & helpful with great suggestions, provided a good quote, arranged convenient time for works to be carried out, supplied all necessary products, and ensured all work completed. Joseph did an excellent job replacing a broken air extractor fan in an en-suite bathroom, re-instating another, installing a new extractor fan & isolator in family bathroom, & installing a security floodlight to the front of the house with a switched fused connection. Any issues found during the works were swiftly dealt with. All in all, a friendly company & great work done in a timely manner (and during the recent heatwave temperatures).

I wanted to share that Nick and his colleagues have been our go to service provider for the last 8 years.I must say the righted all the wrongs our contractor did during the refurbishment of our home (and there were many). Since then they helped with numerous smaller projects. They understand when there is an urgency and always try to fit us in to check what needs to be done and then come back with a clear plan and a reasonable price to complete the job. Safety is always first, but they always have creative solutions. They work fast and always leave our place tidy. An excellent team that follow the high standards that have been set by Nick.

Super efficient and lovely people to work with. Changed up a bunch of light fittings, explaining everything as they went along, very sensibly priced, and left everything nice and tidy afterwards. Nothing was too much trouble would definitely use again.

Following a very thorough and detailed review of the electrics in our house undertaken by Alban Electrical Services earlier in the year, we asked AES to implement some of their key recommendations to update and improve the electrical installation. The work was carried out by Jacob - a member of Nick Heather's team - who arrived punctually, worked conscientiously throughout the day, and completed everything entirely to our satisfaction. Jacob made a point of consulting us on each item (for example, the location of switches and location) and explaining the pros and cons of different options. He worked meticulously, with the minimum amount of fuss, and took care to tidy up afterwards. I have no hesitation in recommending AES as a professional electrical contractor.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Nick and his team from AES for a full house rewire, and I can't recommend them highly enough. From our very first conversation, Nick was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough. AES handled the rewire with absolute precision and efficiency. Nick clearly explained the process, kept me informed at every stage, and made sure everything was completed to the highest standard. His attention to detail and commitment to safety were truly impressive. The quality of workmanship speaks for itself—everything works flawlessly, and the house feels safer and more modern thanks to his expertise.

First rate service. Fast and efficient with competitive rates. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Nick Heather is very efficient, well organised and his charges are perfectly reasonable Totally satisfied as always Need an electrical job done? Look no further than Alban Electrical Services John

Nick and his colleagues are reliable, trustworthy, take care and have done a variety of electrical projects for us including a Garden Room. We are very satisfied with their work

I called Alban Electrical Services on a friend’s recommendation when my mother’s electricity failed. They came out within the hour, were very reassuring and user friendly, and fixed the problem quickly for a reasonable fee. Impressive service. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely delighted with the electrical work carried out but Alban Electrical Services. Nick and his team were incredibly thorough, making sure every detail was perfect. They worked so quietly and efficiently, you barely knew they were there, and their overall approach was highly professional. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Nick!

We needed an electrician, callig Alban Electrical they fitted me in te following morning. Excellent work, polite, efficient, and helpfull, job done in 1 hour. We did use them before, about 2 years ago, and the service was excellent.

Nick and his team are prompt, polite and complete their work to an extremely high standard. Would definitely recommend.

Emailed them late Tuesday night with an issue, they responded on Wednesday with a quote and committed to a Thursday visit. Identified the source of the problem on Thursday, fixed it within the call out charge fee. They also identified possible upgrades to the main fuse board and got back to me with a no pressure quote. Fair, efficient, knowledgeable, prompt, great value and personable team. I would definitely recommend and I will be using in the future. Thank you Nick and team!

Had Alban Electrical Services out several times for different jobs. Always lovely, polite and on time, and so helpful. I really can't recommend them enough. Definitely 5 star service.

Excellent service and communication, thank you Nick! We'll definitely contact you again next time we need an electrician

Brilliant from the word go. Quick response to my request, work booked in quickly, arrived on time, very professional work done and to cap it all decent pricing. Not often we can say that nowadays. A very big thank you.

Nick and his team have helped us with various electrical issues, big and small, over the last 10 years. They are lovely guys, always turn up on time and always do a great job!

Nick has arranged work for us recently. New lights put up, new sockets in kitchen. Excellent job lovely guys completed the work efficiently.

Excellent service and professional staff

Recommend to me some time ago , Nick and Joseph effectively sorted out a significant electrical problem some years ago, this led me to contact them again recently with regard to a very small job. I was impressed with their prompt attention, professionalism and importantly - friendly and helpful attitude. Hallmark of a good company- one that looks after it’s customers even when it’s not a hugely profitable job. Great to find good “old school “ service still exists

Fantastic service, Ryan was on time and completed the work to top quality

Nick gave a better solution and more competitive price than alternative companies. His electricians were courteous and efficient and I was very pleased with the work.

Nick, Joseph and Ryan worked with us for several days and did an outstanding job. They were friendly, professional and hard-working. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very patient with our questions. We had a long list of electrical problems that needed working through & Nick's team were able to solve them one by one. They also solved several problems that weren't on our list. Would strongly recommend.

Nick and his team did a great job with a variety of tasks we had ‘saved up’ for at least 7 years … we certainly won’t wait as long next time to get any electrical jobs done now we have found a competent, efficient and tidy team who we felt at ease having in our home. Many thanks.

Nice to have a local store

Alban Electrical are always professional without fault. Any problems are solved efficiently and effectively. Staff are polite and care about one’s property. Would highly recommend.

Nick is professional, responsive, reliable, excellent at what he does and nothing is too much trouble. If only all tradesmen were like this! Highly recommend Alban Electrical Services.

Nick is very helpful and went above and beyond to teach me how to change some unfamiliar light fittings.

Would highly recommend Nick. Nothing was too much trouble and he really did try to help with the issue. Unfortunately it was merely due to the storm that we had that made my electrics play up-but it was meant to be because I now know an honest trustworthy electrician that is not in the business to rip people off. Thanks again Nick!

Fantastic service. Friendly and professional. Great company. Value for money.
