⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Couldn’t recommend Will highly enough! We had Will carry out quite a few electrical jobs for us, including installing a brand-new fuse box, new smoke alarms throughout the house, moving our cooker switch out of the hot zone and fitting a new light under our kitchen cupboard. He also went above and beyond by installing a new plug for our dishwasher completely free of charge. He had unfortunately needed to rearrange the original appointment, and rather than just apologising, he kindly threw this extra job in for us at no additional cost. It was such a lovely gesture and really shows how much he cares about his customers. The work has been finished to such a high standard. The casing around the new light switch in our understairs cupboard is incredibly neat and clean, and you can genuinely see the care and attention to detail that has gone into everything he’s done. Will has also been so friendly, professional and approachable throughout. He always took the time to answer all of our questions and explain things properly, which made us feel completely at ease. We’ve been so impressed with Will that we’ve already arranged for him to come back on another day to carry out the rest of the electrical work we need doing around our property. Such great guys at Leigh Electrical Services. I had phoned various electricians regarding an ongoing issue with the electrics at my Dad's home and found their communication somewhat lacking - endless calls not returned, phones being left to ring, it was like they were avoiding me once they discovered that the issue a quick fix. It was then that I had the pleasure of contacting Leigh Electrical, Will is truly a King of Communication (KoC) - every phone call answered, every call back delivered, a heads-up message before arrival followed by a prompt arrival to investigate the issue. Will and his assistant set to work, vigorously testing every facet of the buildings electrical infrastructure, once the fault was located, it was isolated and the remedial work was immediately booked in for two days in future as a part was hard to come by. This is where the KoC really came through, keeping me updated on a nearly, hourly basis, on where the part was. The part actually arrived a day early, the KoC sprung into action and one of his team were round to resolve the issue and then do a full test of the properties electrics ~ I couldn't believe it but the certificate for the Test was issued the same day alongside a final, friendly call from Will to check everything was in place and ended up chatting for over an hour about the latest exhibits at The Tate, the KoC also has great taste in Art, Antique Baths, Signs and a whole host of of other topics. Great Guy leading a team of other Great Guys. Prompt, clear and concise communication and willing to go the extra mile when others wouldn't even return a phone call. My mum had really bad condensation in the bathroom as the fan had stopped working. I Googled a company who could help & found Leigh Electrical they recommended the Envirovent fan to us & although it was really expensive the results have been amazing. Over night the condensation was gone & after we painted the celling it hasn’t come back. Would definitely recommend

I recently contacted Will to carry out a new EICR for me in a 1 bedroom flat. Before this could be passed as satisfactory, I was informed there were some improvements required. I agreed to have the work carried out, which was completed to a good standard. There was a delay in receiving the EICR but overall I was happy with the work and Will also provided good advice and recommendations.

Had an appointment arranged for a quote for electrical work at a block. All arranged for 9am, took 30 mins to get there in rush hour traffic to meet them there, gets to 9am & no one turns up. Waited a while to see, then rang numbers provided to check if there was a delay or an issue, no response or any call back. Waited an hour and still no show and no explanation/returned call. Gave up. Will get a quote elsewhere.

I had really bad condensation in my bathroom and bedroom which has been there since I’ve moved into the property about five years ago. I was talking to my friend over Christmas and they told me that Leigh Electrical Contractors had installed a PIV into their house which had gotten rid of their condensation over night. Gave them a ring and they came round the next day to have a look and see how my condensation problem was. Simon was very knowledgeable and talked me through the stages of installing an Envirovent PIV, he also recommended to change my bathroom fan into a better quality Envirovent cyclone 8 fan as my bathroom has no windows and the steam was terrible. I could not have been happier with the service that I received and I am so happy with the service because after five years I no longer have to wipe down all the steam! I can recommend the service I received from Leigh Electrical Contractors, they are both professional and really friendly guys.

I used Leigh Electrical for the first time recently (October 2025) - and I have to say that I was totally impressed. I phoned them in the morning and, although they were working in London at the time, Will said that it would be no problem to travel back to Southend in the evening and do my job. I basically needed some new switches fitted around the house and, sure enough, he turned up later and got everything sorted out really speedily - at a very good price. He even threw in one switch for free. He's easy to get on with, helpful, professional and speedy - everything you want, really. So if you need a good, reliable electrician, then forget all the others and just give Leigh Electrical a call.

I had a loft PIV installed a couple of years ago by Will and his team from Leigh Electrical Contractors at my flat in London. From start to finish, the service was excellent - they turned up on time, were polite and professional, and the PIV completely solved my condensation issues. I’ve since moved to a flat in Essex and wanted to have the same system fitted, but with no loft access, Will recommended the Envirovent Wall PIV instead. The installation was done quickly and neatly, and the flat was left spotless afterwards. The new unit works just as well as the one I had in my old Flat, and the air quality feels noticeably better. I’d happily recommend Leigh Electrical Contractors to anyone - reliable, tidy, and clearly take pride in their work.

Amazing, friendly and helpful advice on condensation issues After struggling with condensation and mould in our home, was looking for PIV (Positive Input Ventilation) and powerful Extractor Fan solution. Local electricians I engaged seemed unfamiliar with PIV, and I really struggled to find a electrician locally with the NICEIC certification of competence in domestic ventilation. I reached out to Will at Leigh Electrical, who provided me with super helpful guidance and suggestions, and provided me with a very reasonable supply and fit quote, despite being over 50 miles away. It's clear to me that Will knows his stuff and has a commitment to using high-quality long-lasting technologies that work. I feel happy to recommend Leigh Electrical to anyone having condensation issues.

Left after one third of the job completed, assured me they were coming back on 4 separate days and didn't show up without any comms every time. No doubt a competent electrician, but professionalism, communication and customer service non existent. So incredibly unreliable, with no care for wasting your time. Could never recommend.

Contacted Will a few months ago for advice about condensation as we had recently moved into a bungalow. I asked lots of questions & he was brilliant giving his opinion & advice. Had a PIV system fitted today & extractor fan in the bathroom. Did an excellent job, fitted quickly & so neat & tidy, cleaned up the little mess they made. Cannot actually comment with regards the effects on the condensation as obviously not had time to see it do its job yet but I have no doubt it will. Will did a tricky job for us, installing a constant feed extractor fan through an 8”+ solid brick wall, with ceiling wiring where joists run the wrong way! No problem! Done in about 2 hours and all tidied and cleaned up. Highly recommended. Thanks Will.

I phoned Leigh Electrical about replacing a light fitting. Within the space of 45 minutes they were round and had the job done within an hour. It's nice to know there are still quality tradespeople out there who don't mess around get the job done without fuss. I had to hire another to carry out an electrical survey and he found more issues. He also provided me with a report promptly and gave me quotes. Leigh Electrical was hard work to deal with in comparison; no quotes despite he telling me he would, long delay with providing the report, looks like the survey was not done properly based on another electrician.

Will is great and does the job quickly, stress free and with a personality - which helps! I asked for a quote via his website, he responded that same day, and came the next day and fixed two light fittings in no time at all and made it super stress free with great communication. Looks good and he also cut some of the rope wires down to size for me, as they were too long, all with no fuss. Great guy, great job.

I recently hired Leigh Electrical to replace a cooker hood extractor fan which was installed in an old chimney breast above a range cooker. The job was not as straightforward as you would have expected as the replacement fan, which I had purchased, turned out to be slightly too large for the existing cavity left by the old fan. To his credit, rather than asking me to purchase a replacement fan and therefore organising a another appointment, Will suggested a solution to install the fan we had instead. Using an angle grinder he opened up the existing cavity which was surrounded by stainless steel panelling. As well as this, the new extractor fan also had taller casement boxing which required the removal of some internal brickwork from the chimney breast. These weren’t just quick fixes, and demonstrated Will’s can-do attitude and skill in the whole job. This ended being a far from simple wiring installation and potentially could have been a stressful situation using multiple tradesmen and having to order a replacement fan. I am very grateful for Will’s professionalism and adaptability in getting this job done. I cannot recommend Will highly enough and would not hesitate using him again.

We used Leigh Electrical to install a PIV unit and an extractor fan. They did a great job and the work seems to have immediately fixed the problems we had with condensation. Would throughly recommend them!

We had quite bad condensation on some windows and some mould growing on the frames, so looked for a PIV system installer. William replied quickly to my query, explained the best system to put in our loft was made by Envirovent. He and a colleague then efficiently did the work and left everything looking tidy. Leigh Electrical came out within a couple days for a bathroom light that had gone out after I fixed the pull-string switch. They quickly discovered that the bulb had simply gone out (duh!). Not only did they not charge me for the visit, they recommended where I could find the bulb that has gone out of production. Upstanding business!

Rang Leigh Electrical - they gave me a very quick appointment. Very friendly tidy - gave me some advice along the way and got the works done - I added another job on the day to be done which was no trouble. Highly recommend will use again without a doubt 👍🏻👍🏻

So happy with Leigh Electrical. They came out to resolve an issue with the fuse board - replaced a spur and outdoor socket to stop it tripping - and didn’t mind when I asked if they could put up some light fittings. They even popped to the shop for some missing hooks. Would definitely recommend!

After being let down by a home EV charger company who originally approved the install then backed out I decided to look for an installer first. I found Leigh Electrical through a Google search and after discussing the install with Will it seemed clear they could do it. The install required channeling out the ceiling to get the cable from the fuse box which is in the middle of the house to the outside wall. Will insisted on a site visit to confirm at which point I found out he could also supply the EV charger. Communication throughout was excellent. On the day of the install Will turned up when he said he would, clearly explained what would happen and then got on with the job. They cleaned up a they went along leaving everything tidy when finished. Brilliant service, exactly what I needed after being let down and will go to Leigh Electrical first for any future work.

Will did a great job for us, a full re-wire of our house which hadn't been updated since the 60s and all the lighting and power for our kitchen refurb. Will was friendly and approachable making sure that all the details we wanted were just right. He helped us decide where we should put our sockets and advised us on which type of power was required for our range cooker. He suggested an outside point for our lawn mower and also put up all our new light fittings throughout the house. I would definitely use Will again and have recommended him to friends looking for a reliable and knowledgeable electrician.

Simon did a great job of installing a new outside socket and carrying out a fuseboard inspection. He was always polite and worked hard the whole time he was here. There was a small problem with a security light not coming on afterwards, due to a wire being disrupted when he put the outside socket in but he came back the next day and fixed this in a few minutes. I would happily use them again.

Got in touch with Will on Wednesday, as my car was arriving the following Thursday. Came out to me on the Friday, really friendly and professional, and obviously knew his stuff. Recommended this particular Hypervolt charger after we talked it through. Quote arrived early Friday afternoon. Arranged to come back the following Wednesday to carry out the install. They were here when they said they would be, and carried out an impeccable job. Even paid attention to the cats and knowing that they’re house cats, made sure not to leave gates or doors open! I live in a conservation area so can’t have the charger or the cable run on the front of the house. They very thoughtfully worked out the best cable run without disrupting the flooring (Karndean). The installation was faultless. Even drilling the hole through the kitchen wall was perfect. Exactly where the skirting and the floor meet and out to the matching spot on the outside, several inches lower! The cable run is really tidy as well. Cannot recommend Will and his team enough. A thoroughly professional and impeccable installation and so much quicker than the timelines from the national installers!

Was recommended Leigh Electrical Contractors by my sister who sang their praises. I contacted Will as the delivery of my electric car was brought forward so it was going to arrive just before Christmas. Will and his team managed to fit me in before the holidays and also recommended me a bollard company to use which were also excellent. I was really happy with the service and Will talked me through all the different chargers finally settling for the Hypervolt charger. The charger looks great and I’m really happy with it and couldn’t recommend Leigh Electrical more.
