AC BENNETT ELECTRICAL & DOMESTIC SERVICES

TLDR; Andrew has just completed a full rewire of our house electrics. He is trustworthy, efficient, knowledgeable & so clean and tidy. We have already recommended him 10 times over to friends & family and will continue to do so. We could only move out for 1 of the 2 weeks of our rewire, a difficult situation for us as a young family with a toddler and a baby to move back in, and a difficult situation for Andrew to have to continue with this extensive electrical work with a family living in the house… not that he ever let on once that us having to return home mid-way through was a problem at all. Given how messy and invasive a full rewire was (something that I will admit had caused me a few tears stressing about before works started), our house was kept clean and tidy and almost totally free of dust, we were truly shocked and relieved. Andrew was considerate, tidy, informative and super reassuring with updates & advice throughout our rewire. On more occasions that I can count on my hands, Andrew has gone above and beyond with both his electrical work, but also in putting our house back together again thoughtfully at the end of the day, taking in far too many of my deliveries from the postman and clearing up and taking away all his rubbish. Thankfully, Andrew’s colleague is plastering over the, already incredibly neat & tidy, bonding coat where sockets have been chased, removed etc. in only a few days time. A big sigh of relief for us to have the next job on the list ready to be done in just a few days, and by someone who we can already see does a good job since the bonding is so tidy. It has been a pleasure to have Andrew here making our home safe for our family. Last night we had the best night’s sleep since moving into our house, knowing that our children are safe now. Absolutely invaluable!

We recently had Andrew carry out a full rewire of our 4 bedroom house and I can honestly say the whole experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. When we first contacted him for a quote, we were impressed by how knowledgeable and professional he was. After receiving the quote, we were a little nervous about taking on such a major piece of work and ended up leaving it for a few months before making a decision. Throughout that time he never once pestered us, chased us for an answer or put us under any pressure. He simply left us to make our decision in our own time, which we really appreciated and was one of the reasons we felt comfortable choosing him when we were ready to proceed. Once the work was booked in, everything happened exactly as promised. He turned up when he said he would, kept us informed throughout the project and completed the work a day earlier than planned which worked out well for us. The quality of the work is outstanding. Every socket, switch and fitting was installed exactly where we wanted it, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. He listened carefully to what we wanted and made sure the finished result matched our requirements perfectly. His attention to detail was obvious throughout the entire job. One thing that particularly impressed us was that he bonded all of the chases after the wiring was installed. This saved us a huge amount of time and effort and showed that he genuinely cares about the finished result rather than just completing the electrical side and walking away. The cleanliness of his work was exceptional. Anyone who has had a house rewired knows how messy the process can be, but Andy made every effort to keep disruption to a minimum and our house had been cleaned before he left which made a huge difference, the house was left far cleaner than we ever expected with no waste left behind, it was essentially ready for us to move straight back in. It made a stressful project much easier to deal with. To top it all off, the final cost came in under the original quote. In a time when so many projects end up costing more than expected, it was a pleasant surprise to find that the final bill was actually lower than anticipated. Andrew is professional, reliable, honest, hardworking and takes genuine pride in his work. Finding tradespeople you can trust isn’t always easy, but he is exactly the sort of person you hope to find. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to family, friends or anyone looking for electrical work, whether it’s a small job or a complete rewire. Thank you, Andrew, for a fantastic job.

I called Andrew as my Dad’s lamp that belonged to his Dad ,from the 1950’s had broken and flex very badly worn. My Dad was upset about this . Andrew asked us to send a photo and we dropped the lamp round. He listened to what we wanted and found materials needed to restore it.My Dad is so happy not only is the light now fixed but he can carry on using the lamp to continue his 1,000 piece puzzles. Thank you Andrew!

Power in garage, failed, quick response, fairly priced. Highly recommend, will be using again.

Andrew has been out to me for a couple of jobs now, firstly tidying up a couple socket in my lounge after removing a fake wall and fitting a ceiling light that got the better of my DIY skills. Recently Andrew rewired the sockets in my kitchen refurb which turned out to have been done incorrectly, and ran a new feed round for the dishwasher. Andrew is clear about what is needed and very efficient. He was also flexible with timings and came back promptly once the kitchen was fitted to finish up. Highly recommend Andrew, an excellent electrician at very reasonable prices.
