Danlec fitted an Ohme home EV charger for us and we're very happy with the job they did. Jak & Bailey were nice respectful lads who knew their stuff. They listened to our preferences and advised accordingly, arriving at the most acceptable installation options, which they executed very neatly. Just one tiny admin glitch: the photo they submitted of the installation for certification didn't show the main fuse's amperage label, which prompted National Grid to want to needlessly visit to inspect and/or rectify. However, that was easily sidestepped by me emailing a new photo, so no real problem. We'd definitely use Danlec again and have already recommended them to others.

Having filled out a number of online quotation forms for the installation of an EV charger, Danlec replied quickly with a quotation, and followed up with a phone call to add detail and answer any questions I had regarding the quote as well as advising on the correct charger for my circumstances. An installation date was booked quickly and at a convenient time for me, with excellent communication prior to the installation, along with a text from the installation team on the day with a time of arrival. The quality of the installation was excellent, with the installation team taking far less time than I expected to complete the job. The talk through the chargers features and its connection to my energy supplier was pitched perfectly. I’d have no hesitation in recommending Danlec to anyone considering an EV charger installation, I’m extremely impressed with the whole process from start to finish.

I couldn’t be more impressed with the service I received from Danlec Electrical from start to finish. From my initial enquiry, the team were extremely responsive and kept me fully updated regarding the fitting date and what to expect throughout the process. Communication was excellent, which made the whole experience completely straightforward. Matt, who carried out the installation, was extremely professional and clearly takes a lot of pride in his work. Before starting, he took the time to discuss the installation with me, including the positioning of the charger and how the work would be carried out. The quality of the installation itself was exceptional. Everything was completed to a very high standard, both internally at the electrical box and externally with the routing of the cable to the charger. The cable was neatly clipped along the entire route, and the charger itself was fitted extremely professionally. Once the work was completed, everything was left clean and tidy with any mess cleared away. Matt also took the time to show me how to connect and set up the charger with my electricity company’s app, which turned out to be a very simple and straightforward process. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the entire experience, from my first enquiry right through to the completed installation. It’s becoming increasingly rare to find this level of service and attention to detail, but Danlec certainly deliver it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Danlec Electrical to anyone looking for an EV charger or any other electrical installation. This is the second time I have chosen Danlec, the first to install an EV charger, this time to install solar. At all times they were easy to contact, responsive and professional. Workmanship was clean and tidy and all in order. Sent over required certificates etc promptly on completion and they are even sending someone over to show me how to use the app properly and ensure everything is OK as I wasn't present when the system was installed. Highly recommend.

Apologies to all at Danlec, as i have only just got round to this. I had a solar installation and battery installed back in April of this year(2026). From the clear advice on the original survey to completion of the work, I can not fault. All the guys on site and at the end of the phone line were perfect. I had a fault on start up that was frustrating for those involved but was soon rectified, I accept these things happen. Wish I'd gone for the extra battery, which I am now considering. I can wholly recommend to anyone to use Danlec.

Booked our EV charger point install with Danlec , they were very helpful and informative on what’s required and needed pre installation, the date was booked the electrician turned up on time, he confirmed with me on where the EV charger point was going too be, he was very tidy and neat with the installation, after the installation he talked me through the operation of the system and answered any questions I had , as he left he cleaned up and removed all waste with him.I would highly recommend this company, Daren and Judith.

After being given a last minute date to move house I needed a charger fitting at our new property asap. Not only were DanLec the lowest wait time but by far the best price for the product we wanted. Had Danlec fit solar panels and battery storage in August 2026, they were fantastic. Got quotes from 4 installers, two national and two local, and Danlec were the only ones who came out and surveyed the house before quoting. That level of technical care showed throughout, right down to the roofers spotting mid-install that shifting the front panels slightly would avoid an obstacle and look neater. System is 16 LonGi panels, a Tesla Powerwall 3 and gateway, installed and commissioned in one day by Matt, Awly and James on the roof and Liam and Kieran on the electrics. Everything tested and working before they left, and the finish was neat even in places you would never see like in the loft. We've got two EVs chargers, and one thing we were clear about was not wanting the Powerwall battery discharging into the EVs while they're plugged in and charging. Danlec understood that and wired everything so the Powerwall's kept separate, with the EVs charging on Octopus Intelligent Go while the house runs off solar and battery through the day. Exactly the setup we wanted. Communication was excellent, Jack answered the phone within minutes every time we called, Grace sorted the DNO/G99 paperwork without any issues, and Pam handled invoicing smoothly. They were also quick getting us the documents we needed for the export tariff. Running great since and easy to monitor. Already recommended them to friends wanting solar

I recently had a solar PV system installed by Danlec and overall I’m very happy with the experience. The standout part of the whole process was the pre‑quote home visit — it was detailed, unrushed, and genuinely helpful. My requirements were discussed properly, the roof was assessed carefully, and the options were explained clearly without any sales pressure. The pre‑sale communication was useful and never felt pushy. Their pricing was competitive compared with other quotes I received, which made the decision easier. The installation itself was good, and the system worked perfectly from day one. A couple of the cable runs could have been a bit neater visually, but functionally everything was spot‑on. The post‑installation follow‑up visit was also positive. They came back to check everything was working as expected and took the time to answer all my questions. Hi Dan,Thanks for getting in touch regarding my ev charger install.the install was great but I am experiencing a bit of difficulty getting connected to my app for the cheap evening rate but on connection it starts to charge,but I will try again tonight to see if have fixed it.Also when we discussed the charger I did say I wanted the ohme home pro with the digital screen but I have got the ohme e untethered probably my fault for requesting untethered but I assumed the pro came untethered.??,

Great communication and install brilliant. I needed a 15m cable run. I had 3 quotes for an EV charger and Danlec were the most professional and actually came in £600 cheaper than another local company in Newark.

Danlec installed a Tesla powerwall 3 and 12 panels for me. I went for this company as they was forward with there pricing prior to visit and had good reviews. They was not pushy with deposits after consultation which was important to me as I like to consider all options before making the commitment. On the day. The lads were great, very helpful and respectful. Showed me how everything works. The system has been working great since. I'm just dying the get the other side of the roof fitted with more solar so I can reduce my energy bill further. Communication was easy, paperwork came through sharpish. I bought my first electric car and was searching for a company to fit an Ohme epod as I thought that looked the neatest for my needs. Having had some quotes from the larger companies who were reluctant to give a fitting date until after you had paid I then started to look at local companies. Danlec was close to me and had excellent reviews so I gave them a quick email and Dan got back to me very quickly with a phone call. I got a clear fixed price which was competitive and as they had a cancellation I was booked in for the next day. Although a little late due to traffic, not their fault, I was kept fully informed as to the time that they would be arriving, even having the map showing progress. Luke fitted the charger where I wanted it putting, not the easiest/quickest place for him, and all was completed in a couple of hours. The completed job was excellent (box flush to the wall with no cable showing and the cabling in the garage neatly done) and included linking the charger with the app and making sure that all was working. I am so pleased with the service that Danlec and Luke provided, would 100% recommend them, and can clearly see why they get so many 5 star reviews- fully deserved!

I received a text 15 minutes ahead of the Danlec man arriving with his name. This is reassuring should you live alone. He took off his boots to respect the property and quickly found the problem. He was courteous and made sure her left everything as he found it. A job well done.

Customer service have been great every time I've spoken to them, the work also carried out was done professionally and left clean and tidy, I can't fault the company, and the main reason I chose the company to fit my EV charger, was because you can see on their website what availability they have, so we could plan on when to get it fitted, and it was fitted within a week, plus the company is very reasonablly priced too, some of the other companies had a 4 to 6 week wait and cost slightly more, and you had to wait for someone to call you to check availability to get booked in, which was no good for me.

EV charger installed efficiently on a short timescale

Polite young man came and fitted OHME Pro in garage. However, he did not go through properly how to use the app or wall device. I have serious issues with my vehicle alarm going off in the night when I try to charge it up on cheap electricity (Octopus). My 2 month old vehicle has been back to the garage for a number of days and no fault can be found. Could it be the charger?

Great experience with Danlec for an EV charger. Very tidy installation, high quality work from their engineer who arrived when they said he would. Communication throughout the process has been really good, Dan and his team are quick to respond and helpful. Their price was very competitive for the Hypervolt unit and installation was about a week, so much faster than nationwide companies would offer. I'm really pleased with the install and glad to have found a reliable company who take such pride in their work. I would not hesitate to use Danlec again.

From my first online inquiry to 3 solar companies, all of whom were quickly in touch via mobile, 2 stood out and Jack from Danlec nailed it with a very relaxed manor and an answer to every question I had ( I wasn't totally new to solar so felt very at ease with his responses) Enter Will to do the survey, professional and down to business, a few measurements and a look in the garage where I hoped the inverter and battery etc could be installed and a few days later I had my quote, 3 more panels than I thought and a price almost where I thought/wanted/expected, let's do it!! Due to me already having a small solar array covered by a G98 this slowed down the acceptance of the G99 so I had to wait almost 3 months for installation which really dragged because I swear everyday was 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞😎🙄 I'm very very particular when I have to get tradesmen in to do work for me so to sign up for reasonably large solar storage system and car charger I was tied up in knots inside incase it didn't go/wasn't as expected 🫣 suffice to say when the day came for installation and the guys turned up my mind was rapidly put at ease (once I told the lads that I wouldn't have Galaxy FM banging out all day, obviously rock music was allowed 😂😂😂 ) I almost went dizzy watching their every move for the first few minutes getting straight on with it even turning down a coffee to help get them going 😳 Faultless workmanship start to finish, fantastic communication all the way, including the announcement that the Zappi charger hadn't arrived so would be fitted later (1 week and fitted without fault) no problem though as I still haven't purchased an EV yet (a bit of future proofing)🙄 Completed in a day, app installed and walked through, if I wasn't so bad remembering names I would name each and everyone who had part in the installation so all I can say is a massive thank you to all the staff at Danlec.......... I've had no hesitation recommending to friends and family. By my rough calculation the money spent is equivalent to a 8-10% return 💪🏻 If Carlsberg did🍺 👌🏻

When I enquired about an EV charger I was a little in the dark, I spoke to Dan, he gave me all the information I required about the range of chargers, prices and compatibility. Placing the order was very simple and straightforward, they fitted the charger with the week. One of Danlecs professional installers arrived promptly on the arranged day, made a very neat and tidy job, also installed an independent isolator box for the EV charger. Jack and Grace were very helpful and would answer any queries swiftly. Will the surveyor was very informative and answered all my questions. Overall I was very pleased and would recommend to install Solar and battery. Slate roof was ageing in places hence the tingles but we knew that on commencement. thank you

Fantastic service from.start to finish. No salesman here, technical wizards with drone photography to measure roof. Professional team, scaffolders, electricians, roofers. Awesome package, they will work out your requirements from your bill. Never oversell, I am in Sales myself, & was impressed. I made sure I did some research & worked out pricing. I saved over 4k on Octopus direct quote. Order with confidence, job actually took 2 days. A whole team of people arrived, and grafted. End result, neat & tidy. App installed for both Panels & EV charger. Which then can be registered with your energy company, once you receive your certificates couple weeks after installation. This will help you get on correct tariff to enjoy best rates, especially for charging car in the night. I have noticed immediately, even on cloudy days. The light UV gets beamed into panels which send energy into storage batteries. Then your house uses what's stored before using from the grid. I have found by midday it has been fully charged & stored, dont even use it all. Fortunately car takes most of remaining charge thats in battery by end of evening. Ready for following days driving, while the house continues on same storage from previous days charge whilst drawing in Energy to top it up to full. Amazing, I guess it will take time to understand correct tarrif for best results on billing. Which works efficiently with a smart meter. I have to get a smart meter in order to operate with Apps & Octopus Energy, who can monitor & fine tune as we go along. Prompting me for best times for car charging.

Due to an mains electrical fault to our house from the grid, this resulted in a damaged car charger, as Danlec installed the original with such efficiency, we used them again for the replacement, and, as before, great fast efficient service, not to mention their competitive pricing. We had Danlec to install our solar panels / battery home system. Overall excellent work carried out to a very high standard, the installation team respected our property and cleaned up totally when they finished. Paperwork from Danlec followed on quickly enabling us to set up SEG payments with our preferred supplier. System is fully up and working - Very tidy installation. Danlec highly recommended. Since our 1st installation with Danlec, we have had them back twice, once to install a second group of panels to add to the current set up and on a third occasion to install an EV charger. Overall excellent work carried out on all three jobs. Danlec highly recommended.

Explained every step with very good communication throughout. Would highly recommend. The system has been running for just over a month now. A Sunsynk system with battery. Able to monitor things via a Sunsynk app if you want and Danlec set everything up. There is nothing for the customer to do save watch electricity consumption, battery charging and the amount sent back to the grid if that is what you want to do. So pleased with purchase.

Absolute rubbish customer service, work via phone and videos which they don’t watch either. On day of install engineer told me location chosen by me is not ideal due to poor WiFi signal which company knew about sent em pic of WiFi signal from this point and location needs to be changed. Tried charging me more for a longer run then also saying it’s a 2 man job now etc etc etc. didn’t send driver out with step ladder either. I agreed to split the difference even though no fault of my own but they would not budge in end I cancelled the job with installer on site.
